Hi all. The Lord asked me to write about healing and how it works, what needs to take place, etc. So yup, this is going to be a bit of a long thread again. I hope someone can learn from this and apply it to better serve God.

Ok, so to begin, we first need to understand a couple of basic concepts. One Christ is Light. (John 1) Illness is a disturbance in our light. Illnesses are sometimes allowed to be a part of our lives, to edify us or for God's glory, but more often it is based upon sins that either we or our forefathers did. There is a difference between an illness, if someone is sick. And if something is because of the effect of a demonic spirit..such as epilepsy. Notice I said the effect of a demonic spirit and not the possession of one. Big difference. If you take a hammer and hit your car with it, their is going to be a dent in the car. The reason was because of the hammer, the effect of the hammer. It is not that the car was taken over by the hammer. To clarify on simple terms.

Two, we need to understand that without a chain of authority, now healing will take place. Why? Because the Light of Christ needs to heal you and if their is no pipeline through which He can send this light, the healing will not take place. See it in the following way. For each healing there need to be three points connected with faith. The first and second point is between you and God. The second and third point is between you and the person to be healed. Now I'll get to this in a bit, but first let's talk about you and God. This pathway is about a relationship of faith. Whenever a healing takes place, it must be done with the OK of God. Which means you need to listen to Him completely. A healing takes place on one of two conditions. Either you ask permission of God to do a Healing, OR you get instructed by God to perform a healing. You do not go to a person, pray for him and when you are finished or busy praying discover that it is not God's will or their isn't enough faith. For this creates false hope. And if you create false hope and do not deliver the adverse affect happens. The person decrease in faith and looses his faith in God. You cannot say to a person, but you didn't have enough faith after you already prayed for him. This is wrong and not the way Christ showed us. If there is no faith, God wouldn't grant you permission and you will not even walk up to heal, you will stay back. To give scripture:
Act 14:9 The same heard Paul speak: who stedfastly beholding him, and perceiving that he had faith to be healed,
Act 14:10 Said with a loud voice, Stand upright on thy feet. And he leaped and walked.
Paul waited for the man to have faith, before he acted. he did not notice the sick person and then went to heal him. He waited and steadfastly watch him and waited until his faith was to such an extend that he could be healed and only then he set out to heal him.
Another example:
Act 28:8 And it came to pass, that the father of Publius lay sick of a fever and of a bloody flux: to whom Paul entered in, and prayed, and laid his hands on him, and healed him.
Notice the order of things. The man was sick. Paul entered into the situation. Saw the man obviously as being sick. Prayed. (asking for permission) after which he received confirmation he laid his hands upon him and then he healed him. Two things to notice here. One that the actual healing and the prayer is seperate. He didn't pray and because he prayed the guy was healed. No. He prayed to ask for permission and to ask for the gift of healing. Once received he moved to the next step by doing the actual healing.
Now notice the following:
Mat 8:14 And when Jesus was come into Peter's house, he saw his wife's mother laid, and sick of a fever.
Mat 8:15 And he touched her hand, and the fever left her: and she arose, and ministered unto them.
Mat 8:16 When the even was come, they brought unto him many that were possessed with devils: and he cast out the spirits with his word, and healed all that were sick:
Jesus did not pray for the sick, but healed the sick. He didn't pray for the demon prossessed but cast them out with a word. But when did He pray? Did He pray? Yes. It was said and a well known fact that Jesus went to the mountains regularly at night alone and prayed to the father.
So Jesus did comply with the permission rule: And how do we know this?
Joh 5:19 Then answered Jesus and said unto them, Verily, verily, I say unto you, The Son can do nothing of himself, but what he seeth the Father do: for what things soever he doeth, these also doeth the Son likewise.
Joh 5:20 For the Father loveth the Son, and sheweth him all things that himself doeth: and he will shew him greater works than these, that ye may marvel.
Joh 5:21 For as the Father raiseth up the dead, and quickeneth them; even so the Son quickeneth whom he will.
This verse clearly state that the Father showed Christ beforehand what to do exactly and in likewise the Son (Christ) did then also, fulfilling whatever He did in obedience to the Father. Whether healing or raising the dead (quicken). He did what the Father showed Him.
Now this is the part where it gets interesting. Jesus did not only followed the rule of permission, but also explained how it must be done. You see when you ask God for permission or God orders you to heal someone, God also shows you visually what you must do with that person. God showed Jesus to spit on the ground, make clay and smear it on the blind person's eyes. In like manner God shows any of us, when we are to heal someone. The fact that He showed you, is the empowerment you need for your faith and the faith of the other person. That which He shows you, you must do, regardless of how strange it may seem. Do you think it seemed logical to the blind man, when Jesus spat on the ground or when He told the lame man, take up your bedding and walk? Think about it. If the guy could do that why would he ask to be healed? But Jesus knew what was needed because God showed Him before hand. Just like God shows us.
Which brings us to the next part. Building faith in the person. Paul look steadfastly while preaching at a guy? It was not the look that gave the man faith, but the preaching. For faith cometh by hearing and hearing by the Word of God. So if you preach what God wants you to say at that stage you will build faith in that person, and by doing so his faith will increase just enough that he can be healed. Hence the comparison with the mustard seed. You don't need a mountain full of faith. You need to listen and obey. And that alone is more than enough to move the mountain.
So before the healing takes place you need to talk as God guides you.
Thirdly when it comes to sin, Paul gave us a beautiful grid to work by: See since sin has a direct effect on the person's life, it is often showed in the ailment of the person. So let's start with the scripture:
Eph 6:13 Wherefore take unto you the whole armour of God, that ye may be able to withstand in the evil day, and having done all, to stand.
Eph 6:14 Stand therefore, having your loins girt about with truth, and having on the breastplate of righteousness;
Eph 6:15 And your feet shod with the preparation of the gospel of peace;
Eph 6:16 Above all, taking the shield of faith, wherewith ye shall be able to quench all the fiery darts of the wicked.
Eph 6:17 And take the helmet of salvation, and the sword of the Spirit, which is the word of God:
Let me explain. If a man struggles with adultery, fornication, pornography, etc. It is his loins which are affected and the "Cure" for this is Truth, hence also the reason why often enough one the does these deeds fear to tell the truth about their actions. If the person cannot speak it in truth, then this will overpower him again and again. But if he has truth and love, then he will have the power to overcome this. And in likewise manner, have the openness in the spirit to be healed in that area of his body.
Each armourment conveys a key particular to the health of the person. If his faith and action is beautiful in all of this, then neither will he become sick. And if he does then become sick, to heal him would be easy for his path is just. As per example it is written, beautiful are the feet of those who bring the good news(gospel). This even though metaphorical is also true physically. For the spiritual effects the body. However this does not mean if you are a Christian or believe in Christ you will have beautiful feet. It is said those who spread the good news has beautiful feet, not those that have the news and does nothing with it.
So your own personal relaitonship with God should be immaculate. For you cannot ask God concerning a person if you yourself are not in right standing with Him. And if God says yes, then he will impower you to the task.

I'll explain this in easy terms. You dad would ask you to mow the lawn. The moment he ask you, he will show you where to get the lawnmower and how to use it. But once you get to the lawn you are not going to ask your dad to mow the lawn. He gave you the instruction and the lawnmower and showed you how to use it, the responsibility is yours now. And the same it is with the gifts of healings from God. He gives it to you and instructs you to heal and give you a method of healing and then in faith you do it.

Again, either you ask permission and wait for a response from God ( and the response would either be no, and if it yes God will empower you.) Or you will be instructed in your daily life to heal someone.

I hope this helps someone. Blessings to you. And may the Lord be with you.
