Well, it is said that 20% of America are devout Christians. So that what, 500 million Americans so 100 million are devout Christians, then before the rapture there is a great revival, so maybe 200 million. What happens to the economy when a large percentage of it's people are gone. Debts owed, farmers gone, doctors ,lawyers, factory workers, pilots, bus drivers, Maids, butlers, milk men, construction workers and so on Gone. No one to pay their mortgages or car payments or taxes. America is not mentioned in biblical prophecy because it's gone. Banks crumble, big business has no workers. China and Russia will rule just as the bible says and March against Israel.
Except that (and oh this is going to open a can of worms) the mark comes BEFORE the rapture.

(Yeah I had to go there ;))

Which can mean only one thing... "you've been left behind". II Thessalonians mentions a "falling away" (rapture) must happen, before the Antichrist is revealed.

The whole world shall worship the beast, because they are the ones left behind. They are the ones whose names are not found written in the Book of Life from the foundation of the world. God already new from the beginning the names of the people that would accept the SSN & UPC.

God sent them strong delusion to believe a lie, because they believed not the truth. When Christ returns again... it will be to destroy the wicked... those left behind, as well as their offspring.

My faith is weak. His grace is strong. He is perfected in my weakness.

Do we not often see our will as the strength of our faith when it is our greatest enemy?

So then faith cometh by hearing and hearing the word of God.

Increase my faith dear Lord. If I had faith as a grain of mustard seed I could say to the mountain be plucked and removed to the sea. Not yet.

For the cause of Christ

Most of the time my faith is unwavering, however when my eldest (atheist) son is here I sometimes have a wobble. Don't we all falter from time to time? You don't follow anything without questioning it occasionally do you? Surely everything has to be rationalised otherwise wouldn't we all just be following like sheep?

Have you ever had a situation where you were going to faint? Hope make you sick? How far have you studied the bible? To the point where your mind breaks? How much has your love waxed cold?
I don't know, but I don't think how much a person studies the Bible is a reflection of how much they believe. My son, Fingy, studies scripture quite a lot, but he is an atheist.

What about the following?

“Let us, then, take the idea of a spectrum of probabilities seriously, and place human judgements about the existence of God along it, between two extremes of opposite certainty. The spectrum is continuous, but it can be represented by the following seven milestones along the way.

1. Strong theist. 100 per cent probability of God. In the words of C.G. Jung, ‘I do not believe, I know.’

2. Very high probability but short of 100 per cent. De facto theist. ‘I cannot know for certain, but I strongly believe in God and live my life on the assumption that he is there.’

3. Higher than 50 per cent but not very high. Technically agnostic but leaning towards theism. ‘I am very uncertain, but I am inclined to believe in God.’

4. Exactly 50 per cent. Completely impartial agnostic. ‘God’s existence and non-existence are exactly equiprobable.’

5. Lower than 50 per cent but not very low. Technically agnostic but leaning towards atheism. ‘I don’t know whether God exists but I’m inclined to be sceptical.’

6. Very low probability, but short of zero. De facto atheist. ‘I cannot know for certain but I think God is very improbable, and I live my life on the assumption that he is not there.’

7. Strong atheist. ‘I know there is no God, with the same conviction as Jung “knows” there is one.’ "

It seems to me that all of us could probably place ourselves somewhere on this spectrum of belief. What do you think?

Interesting. Was your son raised with a belief in God? Were you? If your son came to his atheism, after first being raised with belief, then what were the most important factors in his loss of belief?

Some things we never question. There is no Loch Ness Monster; I have no doubts now. For the first few years of my atheism I did occasionally slip back into belief. I think this happened two, maybe three, times. I no longer have any nagging doubts.

Some people don't seem to put much thought into the question of God's existence. They just don't believe. That once bothered me. I put a great deal of effort into figuring things out and I thought, I guess, that everyone should make the same effort if they were going to give up on the belief in God.

Strong enough to allow God to lead me. He is teaching me to listen, trust and obey. He is working with me to overcome my sin of gluttony and I am having success with His help. I have given Him my problems and my hearts desires and He is making my life better and complete. One day soon we will see each other face to face I will give Him a huge hug and never want to let go. I am learning to trust Him completely.

That's why God gave us His Word. When we seem to wobble or question we have the answers as long as we let the Holy Spirit guide us. Our faith comes from God but "Satan" (meaning his minions) will do everything possible to keep us from God. Our God is Sovereign meaning nothing or any one can alter His Will. Every time I start to waver I think upon His Sovereignty and wow what a peace that is. My faith isn't mine or any of yours.....it's given to us by God.

And to think, Satan thinks he has a chance.

Glory be to God in the highest!!!

It was a slight exaggeration, I only have one arm that even works so, no, not at all. To be honest, now that I think about it, I can't even bench anything. It would just flop to the side and probably injury me, besides I was talking "metaphorically" about my faith anyway.
