Are only the one in Acts 15 christians are to follow ?
Acts 15:10-11
[SUP]10 [/SUP]Now therefore why tempt ye God, to put a yoke upon the neck of the disciples, which neither our fathers nor we were able to bear?
[SUP]11 [/SUP]But we believe that through the grace of the Lord Jesus Christ we shall be saved, even as they.

If the law was what was required for our righteousness then what was the need for the whole New Testament?

The Problem that has arisen is that God gave His People something that was supposed to show them their error in the very asking for it. Like when they asked for a king and were given Saul. Saul was not meant to be King of Israel. Saul was to show the people their error.

Just like the law. God gave it so people would know their error. And then the Lord Jesus magnified it so no one would think they were righteous in Gods eyes according to their own work at the Law. Like the Pharisees and Scribes were doing. You know, the hypocrites who thought they followed Gods Law.

Read Matthew 5 and tell me what Law you obey.

Hmmm, murder, adultery and lying aren't mentioned. You champion those attributes as Christian do you?
Galatians 5:22-23

[SUP]23 [/SUP]Meekness, temperance: against such there is no law.

yeah because all the fruits of the Spirit are promoted in Yahweh's Law, and EVERYTHING listed in the "work of the flesh" section, is transgression against Yahweh's Law.

Shaul knew this.

I think you're missing the point. There is no law against the fruit of the spirit; not even the law of Moses. And it is the fruit of the spirit, not the fruit of keeping the law.

To carry this thought even further, since Jesus Christ was the LORD who gave the Law, if He is omniscient, why did He give the Law, knowing He was going to replace it with something else?

And if He did do away with it and give a new set of laws, how do we know we have the latest version. If this is really the case, how do we know there is not a version 3.0? Or even 5.6?
And we have received the latest and last version.
For Moses truly said unto the fathers, A prophet shall the Lord your God raise up unto you of your brethren, like unto me; him shall ye hear in all things whatsoever he shall say unto you. And it shall come to pass, that every soul, which will not hear that prophet, shall be destroyed from among the people.
The competitor comes up with a different operating system though.

Some people just don't want to believe what the bible says. From Ephesians 2:15

Faith in the Lord Jesus and what He does for us is what produces this fruit.

John 15:5 I am the vine, ye are the branches: He that abideth in me, and I in him, the same bringeth forth much fruit: for without me ye can do nothing.

God gave us something so beautiful, so full of who God is when God gave us the law. It works countless miracles for us. I love psalm 119, giving us some of what the law is. Without putting the law in our hearts and minds, and letting it work in our world, then our world becomes dark.

Yet you take anything that can be used against the law and make much of it without telling of the beauty!

Some people just don't want to believe what the bible says. From Ephesians 2:15

Having rendered ineffective the authority of the law of commandments contained in ordinances... Ephesions 2:15

G2673 καταργέω katargeo
1. to make entirely idle

GREEK-ENGLISH LEXICON of the NEW TESTAMENT BASED ON SEMANTIC DOMAINS
76.26 καταργέω: to render ineffective the power or force of something—‘to invalidate, to abolish, to cause not to function.’ τὸν νόμον τῶν ἐντολῶν ἐν δόγμασιν καταργήσας ‘to abolish the Law of commandments consisting of regulations’ Eph 2:15;
I want to point out that the words that are in italics are ADDED (thus changing the meaning):

Ephesians 2:15-16, (NKJV), "having abolished in His flesh the enmity, that is, the law of commandments contained in ordinances, so as to create in Himself one new man from the two, thus making peace, and that He might reconcile them both to God in one body through the cross, thereby putting to death the enmity. "

Not only odes the next verse tell us what was abolished, but when you remove the ADDED words the meaning changes.

Ephesians 2:15-16, "Abolishing the enmity the Law, the Commandments, and the Ordinances, through His own flesh, in order to create in Himself one new man from the two; making peace, That would reconcile both in one body to Yahweh through the sacrifice--having killed the enmity through Himself."

enmity is:
Thayer's (New Testament Greek-English Lexicon)

Feminine of G2190; hostility; by implication a reason for opposition:—enmity, hatred.

The oppisition to yahweh;s instructions was abolished, not the Law it's self.

Yeremyah 31:33, "After those days, says Yahweh: I will put My Law in their inward parts, and write it in their hearts; minds, and I will be their Father, and they will be My people."

It is impossible to have HIS LAW written on your heart if you are in oppisition (enmity) to it, so the ENMITY was abolished.

Romans 8:6-8, "For to be carnally minded is death; but to be spiritually minded is life and peace. Because the carnal mind is enmity against Yahweh; for it his not subject to the Law of Yahweh, nor indeed can be. So then, those who are of the flesh cannot please Yahweh."

Again:

"I will put My Law in their inward parts, and write it in their hearts"

First Acts 15:10-11, then Acts:15:20, then Acts 15:21 but of course, who needs to know what Moses law is about for when grace trumps. So why Acts 15:21?

"
The structure of the grammar is such that the phrase 'in his flesh the enmity' goes with what precedes it in verse 14. Here's a literal translation.

For [Christ] is our peace; the one making both, one; and tearing down the middle wall of the barrier, the enmity, in his flesh; rendering ineffective the authority of the law (nomos) of commandments (entoles) contained in ordinances (dogmas); that of the two he should be making in himself one new man, making peace. Ephesians 2:14-16

So no, your analysis is not correct.

There is no beauty in the Law without Faith in Christ. Let's first talk about faith in Christ to be sure there are no misunderstandings.

To attempt to separate the Law from Faith in Christ is to attempt to place a curse on people. The Law says you don't deserve to be anywhere near God. That's undeniable. Faith in Christ says I know you don't deserve it but you are near God because of what He has done.

You want to derail the topic and switch to praise and honor of Christ? I have much WORD to say, but this is not the appropriate thread.

This is becoming surreal. First, in another thread someone said in so many words that the sabbath is GOD, and no law keepers uttered a peep; and now praise and honor of Christ would be derailing a thread pertaining to Christ who made the sabbath. wow...

Revelation 22:12-15, "And behold, I come quickly, and My reward is with Me, to give every man according as his work will be. I am the First and the Last, the Beginning and the End. Blessed are those who keep His Laws, that they may have right to the tree of life, and may enter in through the gates into the city. But he did say through Paul

Ephesians 2:15 (KJV)
15 Having abolished in his flesh the enmity, the law of commandments contained in ordinances; for to make in himself of twain one new man, so making peace;
abolish (Ephesions 2:15)
G2673 καταργέω katargeo
1. to make entirely idle

GREEK-ENGLISH LEXICON of the NEW TESTAMENT BASED ON SEMANTIC DOMAINS
76.26 καταργέω: to render ineffective the power or force of something—‘to invalidate, to abolish, to cause not to function.’ τὸν νόμον τῶν ἐντολῶν ἐν δόγμασιν καταργήσας ‘to abolish the Law of commandments consisting of regulations’ Eph 2:15;

Christ didn't come to destroy the law, but to render it powerless by virtue of a more excellent way, i.e., the spirit. By fulfilling the law he rendered it powerless.

Matthew 5:17-18 (KJV)
17 Think not that I am come to destroy the law, or the prophets: I am not come to destroy, but to fulfil.

destroy (Matthew 5:17)
G2647 καταλύω kataluo
1. to loosen down (disintegrate)
2. (by implication) to demolish

GREEK-ENGLISH LEXICON of the NEW TESTAMENT BASED ON SEMANTIC DOMAINS
20.54 καταλύω; καθαιρέωc; καθαίρεσιςa, εως f: to destroy completely by tearing down and dismantling—‘to destroy, to tear down, destruction.’
καταλύωa: οὐκ ἀφεθήσεται λίθος ἐπὶ λίθῳ ὃς οὐ καταλυθήσεται ‘there will not be one stone left on another which will not be torn down’ Lk 21:6.
καθαιρέωc: καθελῶ μου τὰς ἀποθήκας καὶ μείζονας οἰκοδομήσω ‘I will tear my barns down and build bigger ones’ Lk 12:18.
I think the only thing that has been "rendered powerless " is your understanding of the Messiah:

Isayah 42:21, "Yahweh is well-pleased, for His righteousness' sake, to magnify the Law, and make it honorable"

Mattithyah 5:18, "For truly I say to you; Unless heaven and earth passes away, one yodh--the smallest of the letters--will in no way pass from the Law, until all things are perfected."

Luke 16:17, "But it is easier for heaven and earth to pass, than one yodh of the Law to fail."

For outside are dogs, and sorcerers, and whoremongers, and murderers, and worshipers of gods and everyone who professes to love, yet practices falsehood."

certianly saying the Sabbath is Yah or equal to Yah is false doctrine, how could a Law/way to show love to the Creator be equal to the Cretor that created that Command? nonsense, btw I never saw that post, I would have spoke against it.
