Rom 6:3 KJV - Know ye not, that so many of us as were baptized into Jesus Christ were baptized into his death?
Rom 6:4 KJV - Therefore we are buried with him by baptism into death: that like as Christ was raised up from the dead by the glory of the Father, even so we also should walk in newness of life.

Verse 3 speaks of the soul. Knowing and accepting what happened with Jehovah, the Body, and the humanity creates this scenario.

The body dies without the soul…..right?

Rom 8:8 KJV - So then they that are in the flesh cannot please God.
Rom 8:9 KJV - But ye are not in the flesh, but in the Spirit, if so be that the Spirit of God dwell in you. Now if any man have not the Spirit of Christ, he is none of his.
Rom 8:10 KJV - And if Christ [be] in you, the body [is] dead because of sin; but the Spirit [is] life because of righteousness.
Rom 8:11 KJV - But if the Spirit of him that raised up Jesus from the dead dwell in you, he that raised up Christ from the dead shall also quicken your mortal bodies by his Spirit that dwelleth in you.

So, how did all of this start? At the beginning.

Gen 1:26 KJV - And God said, Let us make man in our image, after our likeness:
Gen 1:27 KJV - So God created man in his [own] image, in the image of God created he him; male and female created he them.

Gen 2:7 KJV - And the LORD God formed man [of] the dust of the ground, and breathed into his nostrils the breath of life; and man became a living soul.

Gen 2:24 KJV - Therefore shall a man leave his father and his mother, and shall cleave unto his wife: and they shall be one flesh.

Mat 19:6 KJV - Wherefore they are no more twain, but one flesh. What therefore God hath joined together, let not man put asunder.

So now we see what God made happen in the garden. The flesh being the wife, is married to the man, (soul.)

What is the role of the flesh?

Eph 5:22 KJV - Wives, submit yourselves unto your own husbands, as unto the Lord.
Eph 5:23 KJV - For the husband is the head of the wife, even as Christ is the head of the church: and he (The Holy Spirit) is the saviour of the body.
Eph 5:24 KJV - Therefore as the church is subject unto Christ, so [let] the wives [be] to their own husbands in every thing.

But, if the soul is dead by the baptism, (Rom 6:4), what happens now?

Rom 7:1 KJV - Know ye not, brethren, (for I speak to them that know the law,) how that the law (Gen 2:24) hath dominion over a man as long as he liveth?
Rom 7:2 KJV - For the woman which hath an husband is bound by the law to [her] husband so long as he liveth; but if the husband be dead, she is loosed from the law of [her] husband.
Rom 7:3 KJV - So then if, while [her] husband liveth, she be married to another man, she shall be called an adulteress: but if her husband be dead, she is free from that law; so that she is no adulteress, though she be married to another man.

Paul is speaking to the flesh.

Rom 7:4 KJV - Wherefore, my brethren, ye also are become dead to the law by the body of Christ; that ye should be married to another, [even] to him who is raised from the dead, that we should bring forth fruit unto God.

Eph 5:25 KJV - Husbands, love your wives, even as Christ also loved the church, and gave himself for it;
Eph 5:26 KJV - That he might sanctify and cleanse it with the washing of water by the word,
Eph 5:27 KJV - That he might present it to himself a glorious church, not having spot, or wrinkle, or any such thing; but that it should be holy and without blemish.
Eph 5:28 KJV - So ought men to love their wives as their own bodies. He that loveth his wife loveth himself.
Eph 5:29 KJV - For no man ever yet hated his own flesh; but nourisheth and cherisheth it, even as the Lord the church:
Eph 5:30 KJV - For we are members of his body, of his flesh, and of his bones.
Eph 5:31 KJV - For this cause shall a man leave his father and mother, and shall be joined unto his wife, and they two shall be one flesh.
Eph 5:32 KJV - This is a great mystery: but I speak concerning Christ and the church.
Eph 5:33 KJV - Nevertheless let every one of you in particular so love his wife even as himself; and the wife [see] that she reverence [her] husband.
