The opportunity to be saved ends only when the heart stops. Granted, the older a person it the harder it is for them to come to Christ, but not impossible. But if you prefer him in hell, that's your deal.

There are a lot of people on this site that are not saved but can sure quote themselves some Bible. The truth is, I don't know about you other than what I read. It's possible that you might have actually heard the Gospel when you were young and trusted Christ, but you have got a hold of some bad teachers that have you totally confused. I hope you are saved and just believe some guys dishonest teachings . . . but ultimately we'll know that at the Great White Throne by which side of the fence you are standing at.
What a joke..........now it's down to I have to be wrong.......or got bad teachers or some such.....goodness. Coming from a baptist whose denomination has so many flawed ideologies it can barely hold Gospel Truth.

OSAS is a "feel good" teaching that draws people in to fill the pews........and why not? My goodness..........if they can be ALWAYS saved, no matter what they do........shoot.......that would be a good deal!

I now wonder if you have ever been sanctified. Have you ever received the indwelling presence of the Holy Spirit? Do you even know how one receives His indwelling presence?

Childishly denouncing the salvation of others is a sad way to try and prop up a flawed ideology.......but, I guess that's all you have left.........

What are you talking about? You are the one denouncing people, not me. And if you think I am mad, angry, or upset by your comments........goodness.......you give yourself way too much credit........

I am very glad you finally admitted that if a person is not a Southern Baptist, they are not saved. If they do not believe and accept that ideology, they are not saved.

Now everyone here knows that if they are not Southern Baptist, they are not saved.

Still can't deal with free will vs. osas can ya? :)

Well, the good news is, you have the God given right to believe what you do.........

One day we will ALL know the Truth!

Huh? where did I do that. If that's the case I don't have any hope. I am against the Southern Baptists with their cooperative program nonsense.

What I believe is easily summed up with ". . . except ye repent, ye shall all likewise perish" (Luke 13:3).

That applies to everyone, not just the SBC.

You should probably get away from the site for awhile, I'm starting to worry about your blood pressure.

Great point, this is why I don't go to funerals. The preacher, no matter what denomination, sends the deceased to heaven. My dad went to church when he got sick. I asked him why, after spending his entire life mocking the Bible, did he decide to go to a Baptist church after he got sick? He owned a bar in a small town for 40 years. He was convinced the Bible was a fraud because so many of the "Christian" folks who harped on him and spoke badly of him would sneak out Sat. night and fool around with some one else's wife or husband. He had forty years of business dealings and run in's with those in his town who faithfully went to church every Sunday morning. He said he had gone to many funerals here and the church sent everyone of them to heaven. He figured if it worked for some of his outlaw friends, why not give it a try. I loved my dad, and grieved his life choice. I could never get him to just consider God's Words and not judge God by the hypocrisy and actions of those who call Him "Lord, Lord. But his heart just wasn't there. I think about the Words of Paul to the Mainstream Preachers of his day.

Rom. 2:21 Thou therefore which teachest another, teachest thou not thyself? thou that preachest a man should not steal, dost thou steal?
22 Thou that sayest a man should not commit adultery, dost thou commit adultery? thou that abhorrest idols, dost thou commit sacrilege?

23 Thou that makest thy boast of the law, through breaking the law dishonourest thou God?

24 For the name of God is blasphemed among the Gentiles through you, as it is written.

Isaiah 52:5 Now therefore, what have I here, saith the LORD, that my people is taken away for nought? they that rule over them make them to howl, saith the LORD; and my name continually every day is blasphemed.

Just more evidence that "there is no new thing under the sun".
Could you tell me a bit what you believe. I havent seen you post much or maybe we just hang around in different topics.

I know you are convinced you are already immortal, and now it seems the judge of who is saved and who is not. What has to happen before a man realizes that the Word of God is not in their religion? Is killing innocent people enough to snap a person out of the snare? It wasn't in Christ's time. How about adultery and molestation? Do you realize how prevalent these behaviors are in the religions of the land? And what do they all have in common?

All Mainstream Religions "transgress the Commandments of God by their own religious traditions". Shall I not warn a brother?

The Christ said we "LIVE" BY EVERY Word which proceeds from the mouth of God.

This worlds religions are sick, they have a sickness. And the Word of God which became Flesh has told us why.

Jer. 6:
13 For from the least of them even unto the greatest of them every one is given to covetousness; and from the prophet even unto the priest every one dealeth falsely.
14 They have healed also the hurt of the daughter of my people slightly, saying, Peace, peace (You are Saved) when there is no peace.

15 Were they ashamed when they had committed abomination? nay, they were not at all ashamed, neither could they blush: therefore they shall fall among them that fall: at the time that I visit them they shall be cast down, saith the LORD.

16 Thus saith the LORD, Stand ye in the ways, and see, and ask for the old paths, where is the good way, (Foreordained by God) and walk therein, and ye shall find rest for your souls. But they said, We will not walk therein.

17 Also I set watchmen over you, saying, Hearken to the sound of the trumpet. (Spoken by the Holy Prophets) But they said, We will not hearken.

Deception from the perfect deceiver is very strong. But the Word of God gives us what we need to "withstand" this deception.

All we need to do is have "Faith" enough to do it.

Eph. 6:
10 Finally, my brethren, be strong in the Lord, and in the power of his might.
11 Put on the whole armour of God, that ye may be able to stand against the wiles of the devil.

12 For we wrestle not against flesh and blood, but against principalities, against powers, against the rulers of the darkness of this world, against spiritual wickedness in high places. (Our mind)

13 Wherefore take unto you the whole armour of God, that ye may be able to withstand in the evil day, and having done all, to stand.

14 Stand therefore, having your loins girt about with truth, (Immortality is a gift we don't already have) and having on the breastplate of righteousness ( 7 Little children, let no man deceive you: he that doeth righteousness is righteous, even as he is righteous )

15 And your feet shod with the preparation of the gospel of peace;

16 Above all, taking the shield of faith, wherewith ye shall be able to quench all the fiery darts of the wicked.

17 And take the helmet of salvation, and the sword of the Spirit, which is the word of God (Man shall live by Every Word of God)

Rev. 18:
4 And I heard another voice from heaven, saying, Come out of her, my people, that ye be not partakers of her sins, and that ye receive not of her plagues.
5 For her sins have reached unto heaven, and God hath remembered her iniquities.

In a nut shell I believe in the Word of God which became Flesh. Everything He teaches, Everything He says. I have studied outside the influence of the religious franchises of the land for over 25 years. I believe all the warnings about religious man, and religious traditions of man and I understand that my greatest enemy is in my own mind.

I have also found that the whole Bible is contained in every scripture and that the scriptures flow together like a stream. A fascinating Wonder.

It amazes me how religious man can pick a sentence out of an entire chapter of the Bible and use it to defend religious tradition. And here you are, reading a post with hundreds of words and you pick one word from a web site while rejecting EVERY other scripture posted.

Fascinating.

So, the inside requires an increase in diet of the Word of God and prayer. That's what has to take place. Don't lay back and give in and give over. Don't stop doing good. You start learning how to communicate with God so He gives you power to do good in the presence of evil. That's what you have to do. Amen!
Good words for the newly converts and to all saved believers--- Bible, prayer and doing good. Amen!
