Rishi Sunak (/ˈrɪʃɪ ˈsuːnæk/;[1] born 12 May 1980)[2] is a British politician who has served as Prime Minister of the United Kingdom and Leader of the Conservative Party since October 2022. Sunak served as Chancellor of the Exchequer from 2020 to 2022 and Chief Secretary to the Treasury from 2019 to 2020,[3] and he has been Member of Parliament (MP) for Richmond (Yorks) since 2015.

Rishi (Sanskrit: ऋषि, romanized: ṛṣi) is a term for an accomplished and enlightened person. They find mentions in various Vedic texts. Rishis are believed to have composed hymns of the Vedas. The Post-Vedic tradition of Hinduism regards the rishis as "great yogis" or "sages" who after intense meditation (tapas) realized the supreme truth and eternal knowledge, which they composed into hymns.[1] The term appears in Pali literature as Ishi and in Buddhism, they can be either Buddhas, Paccekabuddhas, Arahats or a monk of high rank.

........................................................................................... WHERE IN THE MODERN WORLD COULD THIS TERM APPLY?

A juggernaut (/ˈdʒʌɡərnɔːt/ (
listen)),[1] in current English usage, is a literal or metaphorical force regarded as merciless, destructive, and unstoppable. This English usage originated in the mid-nineteenth century, and was adapted from Sanskrit word Jagannath.

Jagannath (Odia: ଜଗନ୍ନାଥ, romanized: Jagannātha, lit. 'Lord of the Universe'; formerly English: Juggernaut) is a deity worshipped in regional Hindu traditions in India and Bangladesh as part of a triad along with his brother Balabhadra, and sister, Subhadra. Jagannath, within Odia Hinduism, is the supreme god, Purushottama,[1][2][3] and the Para Brahman.[4][5] To most Vaishnava Hindus, particularly the Krishnaites, Jagannath is an abstract representation of Krishna, or Vishnu,[6][7] sometimes as the avatar of Krishna or Vishnu.[8][9] To some Shaiva and Shakta Hindus, he is a symmetry-filled tantric form of Bhairava, a fierce manifestation of Shiva associated with annihilation.[10][11]

Favorite politician?
I'm not anyones judge so I cant say who is going to Heaven and who aint. However from the egregious evil that comes from many of them, its easy to know that unless they repent they are in trouble.
Heh... I think their sins are just more visible to the rest of us, them being in the public spotlight. I'm wondering how many ministers are actually on their way to Heaven.

The logic in this thread says "Let the enemy of God's people take over the government, because voting for a non-Christian who might vote in our favor, is the same as voting for a satanic fascist."

Brilliant.

And, the best part of this reasoning? When we wind up going to jail for our faith in America, they'll absolve themselves are all responsibility by blaming prophecy. Must be nice to be in their heads.

The Right Honourable Rishi Sunak
Rishi Sunak is another globalist calling himself a conservative. He will not be working for Great Britain but for the World Economic Forum.

So what does he do as soon as he takes office? He contacts two losers -- Joe Biden and Volodymyr Zelensky . Should that really have been his first order of business when he should be talking to Vladimir Putin and trying for a negotiated settlement? (Unlike Boris Johnson who deliberately sabotaged a peace settlement back in February)

Since the UK is in deep financial trouble, the first thing he should have done is announce that all financial and military aid to Ukraine would be stopped immediately. The next thing he should have done is slash the military budget to a bare minimum. Who is Great Britain defending itself from? No one. The UK does not even need a military force any longer. Imagine the billions of dollars which could go towards reducing the deficit.

At the same time, he should have told Biden in no uncertain terms to resign immediately, since he is harming the USA and international relations. Saudi Arabia's ruler (and many other leaders) are openly laughing at Biden's daily and hourly gaffes and lies. He has made America the laughingstock of the world.

So all we should expect from Sunak is more political antics, while the Brits suffer and starve through winter while he enjoys his billons.

In the aftermath of the Lisbon earthquake on November 1, 1755, which destroyed the royal palace, King Joseph I of Portugal took up residence in a tent complex in Ajuda, on the outskirts of the city. This was the centre of Portuguese political and social life at the time. The king lived surrounded by his staff, led by the prime minister, Sebastião José de Carvalho e Melo, and was attended by members of the nobility.

The prime minister was a strict man, son of a country squire, with a grudge against the old nobility, who despised him. Clashes between them were frequent and tolerated by the king, who trusted Sebastião de Melo for his competent leadership after the earthquake.

King Joseph I was married to Mariana Victoria of Spain, Infanta of Spain, and had four daughters. Despite an attested happy family life (the king loved his daughters and enjoyed playing with them and taking them on nature walks), Joseph I had a favourite mistress: Teresa Leonor, wife of Luis Bernardo, heir of the Távora family.

Luis Bernardo's parents, Marquise Leonor Tomásia de Távora, and her husband, Francisco Assis, Count of Alvor and former viceroy of India, headed one of the most powerful families in the kingdom. They were related to the houses of Aveiro, Cadaval, and Alorna. They were also among the bitterest enemies of Sebastião de Melo. Leonor of Távora was politically influential, preoccupied with the affairs of the kingdom handed to, from her perspective, an upstart with no education. She was also a devout Catholic with strong ties to the Jesuits, including her personal confessor, Gabriel Malagrida.

Brothers and sisters, think of what you were when you were called. Not many of you were wise by human standards; not many were influential; not many were of noble birth. But God chose the foolish things of the world to shame the wise; 1 Corinthians 1:26.

Take a good look at your favorite politician. You may only see them this side of heaven.
The politics of any country goes hand in hand with the majority religion of that country. The policies framed by politicians could vary depending on the ideology of that party.

You cannot generalise all politicians. There is corruption everywhere in all professions. Can you say the medical field is sparkling clean? No. Or Educational institutions? Not always and everywhere. Like that, Politicians also play a role, a very pivotal role in human history.

There are politicians at the grassroots level. Then, there are those who are leaders and then of course the head who would be a Governor, Mayor or Chief minister, Prime Minister, etc.

Now everyone starts that journey with good intentions as they would in any other profession. Politics is difficult.

You have to look at what a political party stands for and you will be supporting for or against that ideology for which the political party stands for. The results won't always be good and as you want it. But you have to look what a party is able accomplish by way of promoting the people's interests and running the government. And then decide for yourselves.

No one knows who will go to heaven and who will go to hell. Only God does. A lot of people will be going both ways from all walks of life, that's for sure.

Yeah, my doctor's worldly, the best surgeon ever, but worldly, so I'll go to the Christian guy who's saved, though less medically competent.
