Thanks bro.....I love the truth and get a little zealous sometimes...well ok..most of the time.... :)

An interesting concept is found in the name you posted..... I AM.......

Jesus said...

I AM...

The way, the truth and the life
The bread that comes down from heaven
The resurrection and the life
The door of the sheep
The good shepherd

ETC.....

All things were created by him and for him......and by him all things (consists)<----the Greek word means (stands together) awesome truth for sure......

Keep pluggin away bro. and when you get a new bible..get a theological dictionary in both Hebrew and Greek and it will really help with understanding the words and really opens up the truth and what the words really meant......

Thanks for the kind response brother!
Yeah I know you do! Everybody on here can see that in you dc God bless you! God surely loves a zealous Christian, just as much as even the most meekest quietest of believer. For God is not a respecter of persons. And God needs bold Christians stoked to do His will! The harvest truly is great, but the labourers are few! ;)

And yes that to me in Exodus 3:14 KJV is one of the most profound things God has said to us to help us to understand Him. He tells Moses to say to Pharaoh when Moses asks God what to say His name is, He tells Moses to say "I am". I AM THAT I AM: I AM. It's like He's saying, hey its me guys your God I'm just sending you a message to let you know that I love you and got your back so just trust in me and let me handle it it's not to big for me to do and I'm going to return you to my Holy land I guarantee it. That must have filled many of the children of Israel's hearts with joy and hope hearing that at that time as it still does for many people that hear God say "I AM". today. :)

God bless.

It's not that I'm embarrassed to mention in publicly. I usually just refrain from getting too personal in my posts. My situation is with anger. I know God says to love our neighbors and treat them as Jesus would treat others. But every time a certain person gets me angry and does things that upset me, I can't help but act out.. Like I swear or say something bad and it's just hard to contain my anger. I feel God deserves more than that from me. Thanks for your reply by the way!

"my anger"?

You have to set your walk straight. You no longer,as a believer, have any rights to yourself. You belong to and submit to,and are a slave of the king.

From this POSITION you ,as Paul says, pick up your cross dailly.
You have to die,in order to live.
Unfortunately we have not been taught this.
Had our leaders got this little point correct, they could have saved millions of hours of counsel and confusion.

Right, but God wants us to be happy. To be rejoiceful and glad in heart. Because God will bring all of us who believe to the finish line.

God loves us unconditionally THROUGH all our bad habits. He sees through all of them. And he accepts us unequivocally even with them.

He doesn't use them against us. Even those that believe but sin daily will still be saved come the day of the Lord.

God looks at you and He sees His Son.

Where did you get this "you have no rights to yourself" teaching from?

You don't belong to you. We all belong to God. You were bought for a price. The price was Christs life for yours. But you have all the right to do whatever you choose to do, that is what free will is.

God doesn't want you to go around feeling/acting like a robot. He wants us to come to Him in truth and He doesn't want to enslave us like the world enslaves. He wants us to be free and happy.

And who the Son sets free will be free indeed!

To be fair, I don't think he was boasting of his sin-no-more achievement.

But he should be (and its good that he is) proud of himself if that is the case. :)

God has been so good to me, blessing me with a miracle as well as many other things, but I have let Him down.. again. I struggle with a particular sin that I can't seem to control.. Each time I hear the Holy Spirit speaking inside telling me to say NO to sin, but my flesh is weak and I always end up sinning. I talked to God about this weakness, I've confessed that I am unable to do this without His help. But with all the blessings He has given me, I feel like such an awful person for always sinning and leaving Him hurt. He deserves so much more from me, and to know I let him down time and time again when all He does is love me and bless me makes me feel terrible :( I don't know what to think or do.. I feel so guilty for hurting God this way.[/QUOTE I have been feeling the same way! I know God loves me , I guess I am just taking a better look at my heart.. God must be working in me !!

Guys I hear you! God hears you! Much better than I do!

But whenever you sin, no matter how many times you sin! Just get on your knees and confess it to God! He WILL forgive you no matter how many times you are asking!

Because He is faithful and just to forgive those that truthfully seek His forgiveness!

And He knows your heart!

He is waiting for you right now! Intimately, lovingly, patiently, faithfully! :)

1 John 1:9 KJV If we confess our sins, he is faithful and just to forgive us our sins, and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness.

We should not sin but we cannot be too hard on ourselves because that can be damaging, for we have to forgive ourselves for doing wrong.God knows sometimes we struggle because we are in the flesh, and all sin can be forgiven.

If you ever notice if we do sin after we are saved it usually is not a new sin that we did not do in the world, because whatever we liked doing in the world before we are saved, some of those sins will haunt us after we are saved.

Dave, I tried to omit my post but you reposted it! :p I saw that you apologized and I deleted my comment.

I think it's wonderful that you have a heart to help others, brother. Praise God! I just believe men ought to help men with private situations (especially if they are of a controversial nature) and women help women. A pastor of a church who counsels is accountable to his entire church. :)
i understand. Yet if i limit my counsel to only men, then i have respect of persons. i will counsel anyone women and men alike. i am not making anyone confess. but if a woman or a man wants to confess so that i may be able to help, i will do so. i am not forcing anyone to do anything against their will. i know full well, that the Holy Ghost would reveal to me the answer to her problem, but i can't help if i do not know what that problem is.

Do you know why we are to confess our sins to each other as instructed by Scriptures. Because it is the hidden sins if they remain hidden that will never get resolved. Do you know why pornography is such a huge problem, because it is a hidden sin, a sin that most people do not confess, it is done in secret, and therefore someone who is struggling with it, yet confesses to nobody about it, will continue to struggle with it, ALONE.

The OP said they were stuggling with a particular sin that they could not cease from. All i did was suggest they email me and tell me what it was, because i have ceased from all the sins that i struggled with. and maybe just maybe i could help the OP with their particular problem. i use to smoke, fornicate, look at porn, filthy communication, lust, glutton, selfish, and many other things. Been to AA meetings, lived in a monastery, been homeless, and i have now been celibate for over 7 years now. So maybe just maybe i could tell the OP how to cease from a particular sin, being that i have successfully, with the help of my Savior and Lord Jesus Christ, have ceased from them. i just may have the answer for the OP that will help.

^i^
I just have to wonder when you will cease from the sin of pride? Just curious!
What is God to do with this wicked and perverse generation that is before His eyes?

Angela53510, KJV1611, dcontroveral, VioletReigns, and atwahtcost Since all of you have accused me of this sin of pride, i would like for any one of you to show where i have done such an evil thing. If you are going to accuse a brother of a particular sin, it would seem Godly to show that brother where they have done so. You accuse me of the sin of Pride which thing God hates. So then tell me where i have done such an evil wicked thing?

Did i say i have ceased from all those things on my own power, or through my own strength? No i have not said i ceased these things through my own self, i have ceased from those thing through the power and strength of the Lord Jesus Christ. i have not given myself the credit, that would be prideful. All of you have altogether ASSUMED something that is not True, but how easy it was for you to agree that it is pride on my part. Would it have been such a hard thing to merely ask me, if i was giving myself the credit, if i ceased those things on my own, then to accuse a brother of a grave sin as PRIDE?

All i was doing is trying to help the OP, and now am being accused of the sin of Pride, because i said that i have ceased many sinful things and may be able to help the OP with her sin. i am deeply hurt by all of you this day, i have wronged none of you, i have not accused any of you of any sin whatsoever, and you do this.

i forgive all of you, If you think i have committed the sin of Pride, then please reveal where i have done that, so i can repent of it. God Bless all of you. Pray for me, as i will be praying for you all.

Also, people have got to stop calling people "trolls" here. There is no such thing. What exists on this forum are people. People have different behaviors than you. Just because they do not respond like you would like them to, does not make them a horrible or bad person as if they have some hidden or secret motive. Besides, it should not matter if a person has a hidden motive as to why they post here. Maybe that person posts here to promote their website. Maybe that person posts here to promote themselves. Maybe that person is really really bad and is only pretending to be a follower of Jesus (When they actually do not care to do anything that He says). It should not matter what their situation is. We should love them regardless. Yes, we can correct them when they promote evil or sinful things. But to just say a person is a "troll" is wrong. It is not loving to say that.... even to one's enemy. For Jesus said we are to love and do good towards our enemies. We are to pray for them. Calling a person a "Troll" is like going back to highschool with all the name calling. It is simply childish and immature to say such things.

I can relate. I Know each person is different and I have NO excuse for myself, putting myself in sticky situations. However..it is also up to me to do something about it, even though I am very weak. I attend a little pentacostal country church and finally, I came forward, in faith, that GOD was leading me to that moment. I just could no longer hold in the guilt and shame I had heaped upon myself. In a matter of minutes, the Holy Spirit spoke to others and I was surrounded by loving, holy spirit filled people who embraced me as I was, with NO condenscention, only LOVE. I was brought to my knees, actually covered over in a mantle, as a symbol of HIS presence, hands layed upon me, prayers and praises offered up on my behalf, as a group. That was 3 weeks ago..I am still walking on a cloud, sickened by my past but stronger now, so much that I can't return to 'that sin' anymore...full of confidence, and I keep my nose in the BIBLE and other annointed books. Yes, I feel tempted , but, it really is an obsession. I can help others who are faced with the same situation. I could not do that just a few months ago.

You are wise not to get to share too much of your personal life. People have broken up their families and have lost their jobs because they shared too much of their personal life on Facebook or the Internet.

Jason, I cannot agree more. I used to have a Facebook and I got tired of hearing of people sharing information that needed to be kept to themselves so I terminated my account and I would never get another one because I despise drama and it is everywhere on that site.

And how much help can a person be, if he thinks he's sinless anyway?
A man was lame for 38 years in the Bible, waiting for the moving of the water so that He could be the first one in to be cured. Jesus healed him, and said "Go and sin no more, lest a worst thing come upon you" What a strange thing for the Son of God to say, if it were not possible to do. Would Jesus tell a person to do something that is IMPOSSIBLE to do? NO.

The broad and wide path is for those who continue to live in sin, and still think they are Heaven bound.

What does the Bible call those who "Can't cease from sin"? Cursed Children (II Peter 2:14)

So you continue to believe the false doctrine that you hold on to, and i will continue to believe the Truth which is NOT easy and a very difficult path that only a very few will FIND.

OH and do you know how i can tell if a person Truly WANTS to learn the Truth? They will read these two articles which the Scriptures PROVES we are to cease from sinning.

Keep on Sinning
Sin No More

Or do that which is easy, continue to believe what you believe and do not search the Scriptures for the Truth, you may just have to get rid of that sin that so easily besets you all the time, this generation can't have that.

There is NO sin that you do that you can't cease from, Therefore be prepared to answer for your own self, WHY you did not cease from a sin, that you could have ceased from, but choose not to.

No temptation is so Strong that you can't overcome it. and every temptation that comes upon you. Jesus allows a path out of that temptation. Be prepared to answer for yourself and explain to Jesus why you chose not to take His Path every single time you committed sin.

atwhatcost thinks nobody can abide in the Word of God perfectly, but Scriptures teach this

James 3:2 For in many things we offend all. If any man offend not in word, the same is a perfect man, and able also to bridle the whole body. (Control his/her flesh)

So it is possible, but only with the help of Jesus Christ, who gives His Strength and His Power to overcome EVERY temptation.

As for how to stop sinning:

Here are some great videos by Pastor Alan Balou who uses Scripture to help you to stop.

What does it mean to cause the Holy Spirit to grieve?
The Holy Spirit if grieved every time the Spirit tells a person "You should not be doing that it is sinful" yet that person does it anyways. This grieves the Holy Spirit of God.

Question: "What does it mean to grieve / quench the Holy Spirit?"

Answer: When the word “quench” is used in Scripture, it is speaking of suppressing fire. When believers put on the shield of faith, as part of their armor of God (Ephesians 6:16), they are extinguishing the power of the fiery darts from Satan. Christ described hell as a place where the fire would not be “quenched” (Mark 9:44, 46, 48). Likewise, the Holy Spirit is a fire dwelling in each believer. He wants to express Himself in our actions and attitudes. When believers do not allow the Spirit to be seen in our actions, when we do what we know is wrong, we suppress or quench the Spirit (1 Thessalonians 5:19). We do not allow the Spirit to reveal Himself the way that He wants to.

To understand what it means to grieve the Spirit, we must first understand that this indicates the Spirit possesses personality. Only a person can be grieved; therefore, the Spirit must be a divine person in order to have this emotion. Once we understand this, we can better understand how He is grieved, mainly because we too are grieved. Ephesians 4:30 tells us that we should not grieve the Spirit. We grieve the Spirit by living like the pagans (4:17-19), by lying (4:25), by being angry (4:26-27), by stealing (4:28), by cursing (4:29), by being bitter (4:31), by being unforgiving (4:32), and by being sexually immoral (5:3-5). To grieve the Spirit is to act out in a sinful manner, whether it is in thought only or in both thought and deed.

Grieving the Holy Spirit and "hurting" God are two completely different things.

God cannot be hurt.

He already knows what's going to happen.

He's already made His mind up.
All True, very well said.
