1. If God loves us all so much why does he put us through all this pain on earth?

2. How could god love someone as worthless as me?

3. What happened to people when they sinned before the whole story of the cross?

4. How do you know all of this is true and its not just some story someone made up once?

5. Why does this god make us seem like horrible people just because we don’t do what he wants?

6. What’s so bad about hell? Living here I feel like I’ve already been through it.

1.) The Lord has created a paradise, but we must learn to love the Lord with all our hearts, minds, and souls, and love our neighbors as ourselves.

2. I think God sees what we can become with him. Maybe that's why he wants us to live and live with him.
3. Are you familiar with the story of Abraham? Abraham was saved through faith. God counted him righteous because of his faith. It says as much in the Old Testament. In the New Testament it talks about how Abraham will be at the feast in the Kingdom of God. There are some other Old Testament figures mentioned as well.
4. Many of us don't know it's true. We have faith that it's true, because there is a lot of evidence both in and outside of the Bible that Jesus existed and that he was crucified as the Bible records. After researching the testimony of his life and death you only need connect the dots to find valid reason to believe that he rose from the dead.
5. This depends on what your focus is on. If your focus is on God's penalty for sin, then you're only going to see that God hates us so much that he wants us dead. But if your focus is on his intervention to spare our lives, then you're going to see that he believes we're worth his own life. Maybe you haven't seen the entire message clearly yet.

1. God DOESN'T! We (people) are the cause/ reason for just about all of the pain that we suffer here on Earth. God gives us all free wills to make our own choices/ decsions. Unfortunately, because we are all sinners, we make a lot of bad decisions... choices that cause pain to others and ourselves!

2. Because you're NOT worthless son! God can NOT make any mistakes or do anything bad... since God created you, then you can NOT be a mistake! If God knew that you were going to be worthless, then He would have never created you! Now like I said in #1, because of our sinful nature, we ALL DO things that are bad (worthless) BUT because Jesus Christ died on the cross for our sins, we all have value and the utmost importance to God! HE LOVES YOU!

3. Blood sacrifices (animals) had to be offered to bring about forgiveness of sins.

4. First of all, as any historian can tell you, the Bible is historically accurate.
Most importantly however... FAITH! The more you believe that EVERYTHING in the Bible is true, the more God will prove to you that He and His Word are real!

5. God DOESN'T! We make ourselves look horrible (see #1)! God DOES want us to do what He wants... so that He can bless us with an abundant life full of Joy, Peace, Victory, Success...

6. Let's say what you consider as having gone through hell is one tiny, little grain of sand on a beach. The real hell would be the ocean next to it... and even that doesn't truly describe how terrible hell is!

I'm glad to see someone your age asking these kinds of questions :) And guess what... God is also GLAD that you're asking these questions because it means you're interested in HIM and want to know more about HIm!
I can see that you're using the name "wannabeloved". Son... YOU ARE LOVED! By me... but most importantly... by your most wonderful and beautiful heavenly FATHER who is just waiting to show you how much HE LOVES YOU... IF you'll just come to Him and ask Him to!

1. If God loves us all so much why does he put us through all this pain on earth?
I don't think we should ever think He is putting us through pain. Pain is here because of our disobedience. We cannot blame God for our mistake; we most certainly cannot call our mistakes God's mistake.

2. How could god love someone as worthless as me?
This is the be all end all question. The more worthless we are, the more God's love is magnified. It is crazy to think about...but that is His grace!

3. What happened to people when they sinned before the whole story of the cross?
Atonement through the law according to sacrifices. All atonement did, such as burnt offerings, was push the sin penalty forward. In reality, it was all being pushed forward to Christ's final atonement. But, this is all unknown to me.
4. How do you know all of this is true and its not just some story someone made up once?
The Holy Spirit takes residence within a believer and it is a like a change in the spiritual DNA. Then its like wearing 3D glasses where you see God in all things and this happens once you are truly fertile soil ready to hear His word. It is also the greatest story ever told and certainly worth hanging all existence on!
5. Why does this god make us seem like horrible people just because we don’t do what he wants?
Good and Evil. He is the first and we are the latter. We are horrible. He wants us to learn, to grow, and to stand against what we first fell to.
6. What’s so bad about hell? Living here I feel like I’ve already been through it.
I always laugh at this. I wasn't always a believer in Jesus Christ. I experienced hell on earth, but there was always a morning. The key part about your question is the statement you've "already been through it". You don't go "through" hell. You're stuck there...forever. It's where that cool drink of water never comes.

1 Because we are "fallen". That means evil is part of us all, and thus society. Whether or not we do right, others will do wrong, and this leads to pain.
On a more positive note: The pain means there is still something good in you fighting, at some level you still care. The bible says being lukewarm is worse than being hot or cold.

2 We are all worthless of Gods love. Why He still loves us? Well, He is God. He can be angry and jealous, but when He loves, He loves more than we can ever do, more than we can ever imagine. "Love covers over a multitude of sins".

3 As has been said: Animals were sacrificed. The idea of the "scapegoat" comes form a tradation of people laying their hands on a goat, as to transfer their sins to it, and then kill it as a sacrifice. Their blood was stained on the altar. This is why Jesus is referred to as the lamb of God: He took the sins of the world on him, because the animal sacrifices werent powerful enough to make up for our continued sins (and God knew this from the beginning).

4 Now faith is assurance of things hoped for, a conviction of things not seen

5 I have asked this myself. But think of it: If you break the law (of the US) you are concidered a criminal right? Saying "I disagree with that law" will hardly cause the judge to change his mind. God is the maker of the universe, and He made the law. One might add: Just like the laws of our society, He made it to protect us (from ourselves).

6 As has been said: Hell is eternal. Furthermore, it is a total separation from God. That means separation from good. Life here might be bad, but there is stil some good on earth.

1. If God loves us all so much why does he put us through all this pain on earth? The majority of human suffering is self inflicted. We live in a fallen world that has rebelled against God.

Exo 15:26 And said, If thou wilt diligently hearken to the voice of the LORD thy God, and wilt do that which is right in his sight, and wilt give ear to his commandments, and keep all his statutes, I will put none of these diseases upon thee, which I have brought upon the Egyptians: for I am the LORD that healeth thee.

2. How could god love someone as worthless as me? You are not worthless, you are made in Gods image.

Gen 1:27 So God created man in his own image, in the image of God created he him; male and female created he them.

Would God send his only begotten son to die for a worthless thing?

Joh 3:16 For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever(That includes YOU)believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life.

3. What happened to people when they sinned before the whole story of the cross? There is much debate about this. Some believe that Hades was divided into two compartments and the Old Testament Saints went to the side called "Paradise" and when Jesus dies on the cross, they believe he descended into hades (Eph 8-10) and took all of the Saints to heaven with him. Others believe that the Old testaments Saints where saved by there faith or by "looking ahead to Christ" to be saved while we "look back" on Christ to be saved

4. How do you know all of this is true and its not just some story someone made up once? The wisdom and knowledge that I find in the Bible is beyond mans Knowledge, it had to have been inspired by God. The prophesies in the Bible that have already come to pass is amazing. Man could not have predicted those things on his own, it had to have been divine revelation. Look how Pslams 22 describes the Crucifixion of Jesus. Plus, there is plenty of historical evidence that backs up many of the Bibles claims, just do some research. Last but not least, we have to have a certain level of faith. You cannot please God without faith Heb 11:6.

5. Why does this god make us seem like horrible people just because we don’t do what he wants? You know what happens when we dont do what God wants? See your first question. "Pain on earth" is the result of sin, and sin is transgression of Gods commandments.

6. What’s so bad about hell? Living here I feel like I’ve already been through it. Hell is so bad because it is eternal separation from God :(
I gave my answers above.

1. If God loves us all so much why does he put us through all this pain on earth? The Lord uses the pain caused us by our sin to bring us to salvation. It's kindness. :) (Romans 2:4) After salvation, the Lord either disciplines us as sons (Hebrews 12: 4-11), or we experience trials to purify us as part of the process of being conformed to the image of His Son. (Romans 5:3-5, James 1:2-4, 1 Peter 4:12-19) and because we are called to the high honor of sharing the sufferings of Christ. :)

2. How could god love someone as worthless as me?
Paul called himself "foremost of all sinners" (1 Timothy 1:15) but in the same verse he says "It is a trustworthy statement, deserving full accpetance, that Christ Jesus came into the world to save sinners". Also see Mark 2:17, and Luke 19:10--the Son of man (Jesus) came to seek and save the lost.

3. What happened to people when they sinned before the whole story of the cross?
Their faith was counted as righteousness, just as ours is. (see Hebrews 11--the whole thing!) :)

4. How do you know all of this is true and its not just some story someone made up once?
Through faith. But, as wwjd_kilden pointed out to us, "Now faith is the substance of things hoped for, the evidence of things not seen. (Hebrews 11:1) Substance is something real, tangible, and evidence is proof! We see the Word not only historically true, but when the Lord opens our eyes to the scripture, that faith becomes based on something real.

5. Why does this god make us seem like horrible people just because we don’t do what he wants? Look around you, dear child. We are pretty horrible people, even though the common grace of the Holy Spirit's presence in the world does surely restrain us. The Bible says "The heart is deceitful above all things, and desperately wicked: who can know it?" What He wants for us is His own righteousness in us, to give us Life, and a way to withstand temptation. (1 Corinthians 5:21, 10:13)

6. What’s so bad about hell? Living here I feel like I’ve already been through it.
I understand you feel this way, but you have never experienced a place completely devoid of God's presence. I'm sure hell will be much, much worse than whatever trial you or I have experienced, dear one.

I'll be in prayer for you, child, that you may come to know "
the surpassing riches of His grace in kindness toward us in Christ Jesus." (Ephesians 2:7)
May the Lord bless you! ♥

1. If God loves us all so much why does he put us through all this pain on earth?
Mankind is the apex of His creation, He wants a free-willed being that will eventually CHOOSE Him as a "soul-mate". Otherwise, He might as well have just stopped with angels. Or bonobos. (which is closer to what we are nowadays if you look around) At your core, you also want a "soul-mate" that will CHOOSE you, because you are made in His image. And you will get one.

In order for us to have a complete "free-will", we must be subjected to all possibilities that have the potential to affect us.
Each person encounters whatever evil exposure is required of them in order for them to eventually abhor it. And all will, some only after a lake of fire experience that is not "eternal", the original words meant "beyond comprehension" even before they meant "ages". Your lake of fire is what you make for yourself from not loving others more than self.

He doesn't allow you to be exposed to anything you cannot overcome.
That's why I've never had money or good looks. :p

Here's an even deeper question though, what do you think about Him for allowing you to be subjected?

Let's say you're 7 and your perfect dad buys you a new bike. NICE.
But He knows the neighbor kid all too well, and knows he's gonna break your bike. He allows it to happen without saying a word, to see what your response is. If your response needs instruction, He teaches. If you don't learn, He repeats this in another scenario. Either way, in the end, you become a responsible adult and get a rockin' camaro when you turn 16.

1. If God loves us all so much why does he put us through all this pain on earth?

He allows trial here in order to teach us that we need Him and how to trust Him

2. How could god love someone as worthless as me?

You may feel worthless, but to Him, you are valuable enough to send His Son to die for you. God created man in order to share His love with someone who wanted that love and that would return that love to Him. He wants to walk with us just as Adam and Eve did before they fell. He sent His Son to restore that relationship with the Father. We could not do it ourselves because, in our hearts, we know how guilty we are. So, just like Adam and Eve, we try to hide from Him. Jesus made it possible for us to enter His presence without fear or guilt.

3. What happened to people when they sinned before the whole story of the cross?

They went to a place refered to as the "Bossom of Abraham". They were given the opportunity to believe in Jesus Christ once He was crucified. I am sure that most, if not all, did.

4. How do you know all of this is true and its not just some story someone made up once?

Once you hear the truth about the Lord, pray. He will reveal Himself to you. I listened to all the people that the Lord sent my way and I argued with all of them. But I would continuously pray to be shown the truth. God honored that. One day, I talked to an unsaved friend, and I told him that I knew they were right, but God hadn't brought me to the point of accepting His salvation yet. It wasn't until a week later that God, very miraculously, revealed Himself to me and, all by myself, I actually believed in Him and confessed Him as Lord. I know beyond the shadow of doubt that He is real and that He has made me part of Gods family. If you want this testimony in detail, just ask. Thekey here is, don't just emotionally jump into this. Don't do it just because someone said you have to. Pray and ask God to reveal Himself and He will answer. Then you will know beyand the shadow of doubt.

5. Why does this god make us seem like horrible people just because we don’t do what he wants?

His intention was never to make us seem like horrible people. It was just the opposite. When Gos instituted the law, it was for the purpose of leading us to salvation. Man didn't know how sinful he was until the law showed him. The law was a teacher, not a task master. Our inability to follow it allowed us to see that we needed a savior. But the law was never even intended for the gentiles, but only the Jews. It is mans idea to tie us all to the law again. By submitting to even one of those laws, we are bound to follow all 413 of them. We are under grace, not the law. We now have the Holy Spirit in us to cause us to be Holy from the inside instead of adherance to the written law.

6. What’s so bad about hell? Living here I feel like I’ve already been through it.
None of us really knows how bad hell will be. The references are to 1. complete separation from God. 2. Weeping and gnashing of teeth. 3. The lake of fire. And a few others. To me, it's not worth the risk of finding out the hard way just how bad it will be.

1. If God loves us all so much why does he put us through all this pain on earth?
Depends. If you're a Christian following after the ways of Jesus expect persecutions to follow. The Devil does not like God/Jesus, so if you're mimicking Their actions he will attack you. If you're not a Christian following after the ways of Jesus, your pain is a direct result of your own choices and situation.

2. How could god love someone as worthless as me?
The old adage "Beauty is in the eye of the beholder" comes in affect. Just like with everything else, your worth is Not determined by you. But by the purchaser. God saw you and how "bad" you would be before you were born and he Still decided to Die for You! For God to give up his throne, become a man, be ridiculed and abused then literally nailed to a tree for you shows how much you are really worth.

3. What happened to people when they sinned before the whole story of the cross?
Is it safe to assume you mean how they got forgiveness? If so, then it was by Faith. They followed the ceremonial laws and statutes for forgiveness of sins (day of atonement, Pentecost, Feast of Tabernacles, days of unleavened bread)

4. How do you know all of this is true and its not just some story someone made up once?
Well history and science has proven the Bible to be true over and over. The bible has been written by 60 different writers over a period of 1500 years and yet, no contradictions and most of the writers never met. The Bible has also proven itself in that it has perfectly predicted the history of the world.

5. Why does this god make us seem like horrible people just because we don’t do what he wants?
Well let's see. God wants us to love one another. Be faithful. Be happy. Be healthy. Be full of life.
Man wants to fight. Be unfaithful. Be unhappy. Be unhealthy. Has no regard for life.

We are horrible people.

6. What’s so bad about hell? Living here I feel like I’ve already been through it.
Hell is the end of all sin (this is good)
Hell is the end of all sinners (this is bad)

Thank you everyone to all the answers to my questions, now i just have to believe them right? lol The hardest thing for me is i dont deserve god. i am nothing, im not worth it. i never will be. God doesnt want anything to do with me...one point i was crying in bed and i was praying and i just i feel like god hates me i feel like he could never love me so i prayed to the devil....yea i know im a horrible person..anyways and i prayed you know if you dont put me through hell then ill be your slave and do whatever you want...of course i felt like an idiot after because i mean hell is hell of cours your gonna be put through hell but maybe if i just made and agreement with the devil.. then at one point i believed god and the devil to be the same person just laughing at us because they have so many people brain washed...i dont know what to believe. i feel like god hates me. im not worth his time. or anyones...god or anyone could never love me. Sometimes i just wanna give up...i mean i hate this...this thing i see in the mirror every day...i hate myself so much....and i feel like all i do is screw up and get hurt, but then if i gave up...where would i go?
