hmm, if Jesus was found worthy to open the sealed book in Rev.5:9-12 did he speak of any of it in the Olivet discourse(before it had been unsealed)?

I love a good puzzle, too............ but "answering with one?"

That is, I assume you answered me. Since you did not "REPLY WITH QUOTE", there's no way to be sure who you were answering. (Yet, another puzzle?)

It sounds as if Jesus is saying that only the 12 apostles are "worthy" to hear the truth.... that is why Jesus taught in parables, because everyone else might hear the truth, and want to be forgiven/saved.

This makes absolutely no sense to me. That is my "serious" puzzle.


My non-serious puzzle would be the age-old question...

"who put the ram in the ram-a-lam-a-ding-dong"....

enquiring minds, and all that....

I am of the opinion that lsrael has it right, everyone has to spend two years in the service. When they get out they’ll know why we cherish our flag.

Well the way I see it, in prophecy there are old trees like Nebuchadnezzar and then there was nuts like Nabal.

This is the jest of the whole idea. People have different ideas about what the Bible says and they come up with different answers. We are supposed to be speaking the same thing. So why aren’t we?

Prov.2:1-5, Matt.13:15 The parable of the sower that Jesus did reveal (Matt.13:18-23) really tells it all. To understand the Word of God, you have to read it and keep on reading it. You won't be given understanding any other way. It is given but you have to show him you want it.
Why parables? If he wrote it so it could be easily understood; it would be read, dismissed and forgotten. But here we are thousands of years later and still intrigued - brilliant!

If that's in answer to my question, it doesn't address the main problem I have with it. I am pretty sure I understand why Jesus taught in parables, that doesn't help me much. I don't understand his appearing to NOT want unbelievers to hear, and desire salvation.

This is the reason I wrote I like a good puzzle. The whole Bible is a puzzle that you can not understand it until it all put together then and only then can you make out the whole picture.
