If God has recieved you as his son through our Lord Jesus Christ, then why is it that most of your are hostile towards oneanother.

Are you forgetting the one great commandment which Jesus spoke of?

Matthew 22

36Master, which is the great commandment in the law? 37Jesus said unto him, Thou shalt love the Lord thy God with all thy heart, and with all thy soul, and with all thy mind. 38This is the first and great commandment. 39And the second is like unto it, Thou shalt love thy neighbour as thyself.

1
Corinth
10Now I beseech you, brethren, by the name of our Lord Jesus Christ, that ye all speak the same thing, and that there be no divisions among you; but that ye be perfectly joined together in the same mind and in the same judgment.

we might not share the same views but there is one thing we all have in common and thats the unity we have in our Lord Jesus Christ, it's okay to disagree, but it is not okay to fight, even among the heathen they know fighting leads to no good thing, as a discple of Christ should'nt you know better?

1 Peter 3
8Finally, all of you, live in harmony with one another; be sympathetic, love as brothers, be compassionate and humble. 9Do not repay evil with evil or insult with insult, but with blessing, because to this you were called so that you may inherit a blessing. 10

eyes of the Lord are on the righteous(1 Peter 3:12), do you think Jesus enjoys what he sees when there is qurrels amongst his church?

1 Corinth 1:10
herefore if there is any encouragement in Christ, if there is any consolation of love, if there is any fellowship of the Spirit, if any affection and compassion, 2make my joy complete by being of the same mind, maintaining the same love, united in spirit, intent on one purpose. 3Do nothing from selfishness or empty conceit, but with humility of mind regard one another as more important than yourselves; 4do not merely look out for your own personal interests, but also for the interests of others. 5H

So much of it is stupid, don't get me wrong there are "christians" who have twisted the bible to fit their desires and those "churches" are a problem. But one example in my own life that I was saddened over was when I was about 20 I started attending a church and wanted to become a member, but in order to do so I would have had to be baptized again by immersion, I had be baptized by pouring (our church didn't have a tank), which I refused. Baptism is an outward sign of an inward choice, immersion or pouring makes no difference, but they had taken a non issue and made one a cornerstone of their beliefs and the other rejected. The stuff we fight over is disgusting, we make mountains out of molehills, which leaves us alone and unprotected when satans minions come twisting God's word on core issues.

We need less personal attacks more Scripture, more agreeing of things we have in common, less finding our differences and blasting one another. We need a stronger belief in Scripture, less bad mouthing of the Bible, more finality and less continual endless debating. The longer a debate last the more people tend to leave the topic and sling mud at each other.

Exactly, so many threads end up in the same endless mud slinging between people who obviously don't love each other, its sad.

That is what is wrong with the world now many people fight because they try to keep there carnal desires.....but we must learn to leave the carnal desires and feed our spirit with the bread of God

If we can't have examples.
Let's make an example.
We can stand for the truth.

I am concerned that sisters and brothers here are troubled by the unloving behaviour here, and there certainly a lot of it, as I see it.

I think we will need to be prepared for it, because many people do not 'fight' like we do. Some exponents of behaviour we find offensive would even read this and they don't think it applies to them.

I don't at all mean accept it, but be ready for what you might have to deal with. And then step in with a message when you see something you want to comment on, with all the gentleness and love you have within you.

Love will find a way, but don't bleed away to paleness.

Lots or love and best wishes to you all.

One problem is that instead of using our differences for the advantage of the Kingdom, we say "you're NOT the Church because you don't do as we do".

The RCC claims to be the oldest "church", therefore, being THE TRUE "Church". However, mankind put limits on the Holy Spirit. Sorta like making God in man's image. HOW can a PERFECT Being, Jesus, come from an IMPERFECT womb? Easy, with God, ALL THINGS are possible!

If two or more gather in Jesus' name, He is there! NOT in the name of a "saint" or somebody who lived in Biblical times, but Jesus. Religions go "outside the box" when they shouldn't.

Okay.

Look, if anyone would like a break, come out of the Bible discussion forum for a while. All the hard-headed discussion seems to go on in there, and there's lovely posts in prayer requests, testimonies, family forum and miscellaneous, (I don't know about 'teens', 'young adults' or' singles', I never go there.)

It would help you also to stay away from people posting who don't flow on from the previous person, persons who label another in any way, long-winded posts and ones that never express love or encouragement. It's actually plain and obvious. By their fruits you will know them.

Much love, Steve.

Not only that but the disciples told Jesus they seen a man casting out devils in Jesus' name, but would not follow the disciples, and Jesus said he that is not against us is for us,so even though the man did not follow the disciples the man was still on Jesus' side.

So how do certain denominations say we are the truth and if you do not join us you are wrong, when Jesus said if they are not against us they are for us.
