Pure religion and undefiled before God and the Father is this,
To visit the fatherless and widows in their affliction, and
to keep himself unspotted from the world. James 1:27

Go volunteer at nursing home or get involved in
a Big Brother or mentoring program.

So my thinking is that the gospel should not be one of the items on our "interest" lists. I have and have had many interests, many of which have come and gone (and come back and gone again) over time. The gospel is something that should permeate everything in our life. It's not something you do for a certain period of time during certain days - it's something you live in, all day everyday.

Maybe an analogy would help. I consider myself a patriotic American (perhaps you could relate if you're a patriotic Swiss or European). This isn't something that's an interest item that happens on Thursday night from 1600-1700. It's just part of who I am. In the same way, living the gospel is living life as a citizen of the Kingdom of God. It's finding our entire identity in the Messiah and living under his rulership in his kingdom. It should be central to our identity, not a somewhat central item on our list of hobbies/things-we-do.

If you have some interests that you're passionate about, whatever they are, do them as a member of the Kingdom of God. You don't have to read the bible cover-to-cover for certain lengths of time during the week to live the gospel. You don't have to pray for any particular length of time to live the gospel. The Kingdom of God is loving God, loving your neighbor, forgiveness, charity, etc.. These are things that are done all the time in everything we do.
You said your a citizen of the Kingdom of God and yes Christians are such but one can not have two masters and your words say patriotic American do you also vote and such. Christians are Ambassadors of God's Government living under mans Government but not connected to mans Government in any way. It is not easy being a Christian but there are lots of perks with the job.

The day you first asked God into your life is the day your salvation began. He will continue his saving work for you until the day he comes back which is the day salvation is complete. Take responsibility and respond to it... His grace never stops, and when you recognize that, your faith will be renewed. Accept his gift of grace like a child receiving a present he doesn't deserve. Once you respond, you will start to believe in him more. Make the bible your staple.

Go to a Holy Ghost filled tongue talking devil killing church and praise God with them and you will be just fine. Get out that sleeping church, that's dull and formatted and get in a Holy Ghost church. you will know if it's a Holy Ghost church cause you can't sleep.
