Heb 13:9) and administer this doctrine to believers who have been seduced away from the faith by seducing spirits. The primary purpose of these disembodied spirits is to seek out ways to destroy and to cause a split and division and to take away any capacity that a person might have to be able to receive from God. Example: Mt 13:19, & 1 Thes 2:18, & 1 Pt 5:8
I would add

They are simply lying spirits that never had a body , not being made of the rudiments of this world (no DNA) .

Demon activity is the foundation of necromancy (falsely seeking after that not seen )as false gods in the likeness of men

As lying spirits they give the illusion one can talk to a loved one who has passed away .Rachel was guilty of hiding the image idol that gave face to the legion. Whenever it comes up it comes up it comes as a legion (many) needed and an idol image(teraphim) must be used to give the illusion a person is speaking to a deceased love one. In doing so create their own faith source (unseen) coming from the imagination of their heart as their reward for receiving the lying spirit (legion) .

We worship by seeking after of Father in heaven not seen. Not those who have passed form this life under the sun. The verse in Colossians 2 would apply to those who do seek after necromancy as a false foundation of faith.

Colossians 2:18 Let no man beguile you of your reward in a voluntary humility and “worshipping of angels”, intruding into those things which he hath not seen, vainly puffed up by his fleshly mind,

...i can just google the word demon at the internet or just look from the dictionary, it's there! but not in the book of the holy bible.
The reason you will not find "demon" at least in the King James Bible is because the translators called them "devils". But the word for Satan -- the Devil -- is diabolos, whereas the word for devils/demons is the Greek daimon (hence demon).

However, you are correct in that not all evil angels are demons, and only some of them -- the ones who take possession of people or creatures -- are demons.

Also, you are correct in that Christians must not spend a lot of time focused on demons, or the works of the Devil. We are to recognize their existence, that they cannot overpower or possess Christians.

What's the difference between an evil angel and a demon?

While that is generally true, it is helpful to know your enemy, and understand his tactics.

We are to recognize their existence, that they cannot overpower or possess Christians.
Where did you get that idea?

I'm putting out info to this last line of his.

Yes a Christian can become possessed by a demon.

Think of it like this...

If a Christian begins to drink alcohol and becomes addicted does God prevent him or her from suffering the consequences?
If he or she pursues Drugs?
If he or she breaks the 10 commandments?
So if a Christian goes and practices the occult, paranormal ghost hunters ought to pay attention to this, without God's permission and in his will he will suffer the consequences until God sees that he or she has learned their lesson. This includes demonic attachments and up to demonic possession.
