Since all have sinned and fallen short of God's glory, what country will you love?
Jesus loved us while we were sinners.
We are not called to love 'countries', we are called to proclaim the good news of redemption to a dying world.
You answered your own question. I don’t have to live a country.

I sure am glad Jesus didn't come and look at the world and be like "Man, this world is evil! I don't love this world anymore. I'm not dying for these murderers and fornicators- would you? Peace out, y'all."

I don't believe for a second that the anti-american sentiments that have been expressed on CC lately originate from God at all.

I can definitely understand being disappointed at times... there are some bad people around, and some bad laws on the books, but that shouldn't be the way you characterize the country. There are people in every state doing good. Several attempts to squash religious rights have been thwarted. You don't give up on God's providence for your nation when things become difficult.
This is any really relevant to anything.

I think you can learn strength from job. The story of job is that Satan destroyed what job loved. Maybe you are in the same mood now, but job looks up to God. All his hopes are in God. Without God, we are nothing.

The Bible teaches us to be as perfect as God,
God is patient with human evil, because God loves human beings, and we should be as our God.

You should Pray for what you love and what you don't love.Maintain an optimistic and positive attitude.

Think of all the stuff that goes on in this country. Abortion, transgender whatever, confiscatory taxation, corruption and theft at the highest levels of government. You could spend all day making a list. Evil is good and good is evil.

If China were doing half the things America does, conservatives would condemn that country. Seems like they look the other way when it’s being done in their own backyard.

Basically what I’m saying is that I’ve lost my love for America. I can’t be a Christian and just excuse this stuff.
The country isn't that evil. It's just a lot of the politics and more than quite a few of the people. The country itself is perfectly good.

We were warned about all this thousands of years ago.

I just don't get why we're all actin' so surprised.

Or why we're thinkin' we can do something to stop it.
Stop it? No. Procrastinate it? Perhaps.

Consider the account of Jonah and Nineveh. God told them they were about to be judged, and they repented from the least to the greatest. And God spared them for a time. Which apparently irked Jonah, who apparently hated the Ninevites or thought he was better than them.

You are obviously mistaken. God asked Jonah to declare the destruction of the city, but Jonah did not go. He was swallowed into the fish. However, when he came back, the people of the city repented. Do you know what compassion is

If Jonah hated the Nineveh so much, he would directly declare the destruction of the city, but he didn't do that, but deliberately let himself be swallowed by fish.Jonah seems to me to be a funny boy:D

He says this in the book of Jonah:

Jon 4:1 But it displeased Jonah exceedingly, and he was very angry.
Jon 4:2 And he prayed unto the LORD, and said, I pray thee, O LORD, was not this my saying, when I was yet in my country? Therefore I fled before unto Tarshish: for I knew that thou art a gracious God, and merciful, slow to anger, and of great kindness, and repentest thee of the evil.

Jonah did not want to preach there because he knew God would spare the Ninevites if they repented.

How did he know Nineveh would repent?
So why do you think Jonah didn't want to go at first?

I believe there had to be some hostile attitudes between Israel and Assyria. Jonah happens during the reign of Jeroboam II which is recorded to be from 783-741 B.C. Tiglath-Pileser III would be the king of Assyria. The Assyrians began their first conquering of Israel in the 740 B.C time frame and in 722 B.C. removed them from the map.

So ultimately God sparing Nineveh, he turned right around and used them to remove Israel and carry out his judgement on Israel.

Nineveh is a good example to consider, praise Jesus for revealing this and calling it to remembrance. At the preaching of Jonah, the people of Nineveh in that generation did acknowledge that they were evil, and their ways were evil, and they did acknowledge the Lord God's judgements, and they with much faith believed in the prophesy of Jonah so much so that from the king to the common beasts all girded in sackcloth and cried to the Lord God, and so in that generation they were spared by the gracious mercy of the Lord God who looked down and saw their works of repentance. In another generation which was evil and faithless, later on, the prophesy which Jonah spoke by the Word of God to Nineveh about their destruction did indeed come true. Behold A Sword Cometh and even the prophesy pronounced by the mouth of Jonah came to pass down to the letter and that great and ancient city Nineveh was put to the Sword and destroyed within 40 days.

Consider Nineveh, consider Jonah, consider this oh wicked society of America who is full of whoredoms and abominations from your leaders to your common folk, for I swear by the name of the Lord Jesus Christ if you do not acknowledge the wickedness of your generations and that the Lord God has begun his Four Sore Judgements upon you, and if you do not repent of the backwardness of your ways, then Behold A Sword Cometh. Moreover, the generation of Nineveh will hold these Four Shameful Generations in derision because they had faith in Jesus and repented and were spared, but you oh America you justify your whoredoms and all your wicked ways just like Jerusalem in the day she was taken and put to the Sword.

Oh, Decade of Decisions, oh Decade of Decisions, Four Shameful Generations, Four Sore Judgements of God. Behold A Sword Cometh!

The threat of final judgement comes in a form of correction.
Throughout the old testament God explains this to the nation of Israel.
I believe the torch was past to america from Israel untill the time of the gentiles are filled.
In this time of grace God will once again focus on Israel as he calls out to his people to keep the light burning.
Before our very eyes prophecy of his promise to Israel has come to past as many are yet to be fulfilled.
God has put all the nations in dispair searching for the truth not just america.
Believe it or not the fields are ready for harvest but the laymen are few.
God is working in a great and mighty way, according to his word and purpose.
Will this end be the great tribulation and the soon return of christ? Only God knows.
We also knowing the end from the beginning according to God's word need to take action, to step out in our faith .
What good is our faith if it does not produce fruit? If it is not seen? Not heard? Not known?
We the church stand in the way of the man of sin to take over the unregenerated.
God is and will make fools of those who think they control the earth.

You are all twisted up.

First of all, GOD presented Satan, Job. God allowed Job to go through this because He foreknew what Job would do. And we learned from Satan that Job [All of us Believers] have the Hedge of God's Protection upon our lives. You are forgetting that God would not have offered up Job if Job would have failed. The LESSON we should take from Job, God allows things to happen and in the End we gain MORE than we ever had before.

Getting the nation to repent is for sure an honorable pursuit and one that in the past would have been worth the effort to buy us more time to save more souls.

But we know from scripture that at some point, repentance becomes moot and what was prophesied WILL come to pass.

So the question now becomes, is repentance possible at this point?

Imho, I don't believe so. People are no longer thinking in terms of unifying and coming together for the better good, for God's good. We have made those with whom we disagree into enemies, with the majority of our efforts now focused on defeating our 'enemies' instead of unifying brothers. The scales have been more than tipped, they have been toppled. And so balance is no longer achievable.

"It shall be as in the days of Noah". Given warning of the coming flood, Noah didn't form an investigational committee to explore ways to bring the world into repentance. He instead prepared the way to survive an unrepentant world's judgment.

That is where I believe we are at now. The time for repentance is past. The time to prepare for tribulation judgment has come.

There's also the question of how we would bring repentance. Too many Christians think they can do it by joining forces with a worldly group who, except for the sin of abortion, embraces sins that are just as grievous as those they want to stop. You cannot stop sin by engaging in different sins.

How did he know Nineveh would repent?

he knew because God was sending him there.
this was a very strange mission, from Jonah's perspective. Jewish prophets prophesied to Jews. they said things about other nations but they didn't go to them and address them.

Ninevah is the capital of Assyria. modern-day Kurdistan. a brutal & oppressive enemy of Israel. Gentiles. despised by Jews.

so the moment God tells Jonah to go preach to them, Jonah understands what God is doing - because Jonah gives his own reasoning for why he fled. not because Jonah was afraid of Assyria. because Jonah knows that God is kind and gracious and full of mercy. now why would Jonah say he disobeyed God because he knows God is good and full of lovingkindness?
because Jonah understands that God sending him to Assyria means God is offering salvation to the gentiles through grace.
Jonah is a picture of unrepentant pharisetical Israel full of pride in their ethnicity hating all non-Jews rejecting Christ and refusing to be a light to the world. Jonah runs away because he understands that God will save Assyria, and Jonah does not want Assyria to be saved.

God treats Jonah compassionately and patiently, and teaches him love for his enemies. the crimson worm that destroyed the shade - removing his comfort brought light to his eyes. Jonah then knows what Isaiah later also does, when God says blessed be Egypt My people, Assyria My handiwork, Israel My inheritance. in the same way when Christ appears a second time, they will mourn as one mourns for their firstborn son, seeing that it is I AM whom they pierced.

So here is your quote from your OP...

"Basically what I’m saying is that I’ve lost my love for America. I can’t be a Christian and just excuse this stuff."

That's all I was responding to.

Yes, I tend to agree. People are waking up and resisting government... but they aren't really turning to God. I think the best that can be realistically hoped for would be secession and the rebuilding of a new nation while the USA collapses.
