Did you not read my post where I said that I believe all born again believers CAN baptize, so I am agreeing with you there, and there is a priesthood. Of believers:

Revelation 1:6 And hath made us kings and priests unto God and his Father; to him be glory and dominion for ever and ever. Amen.
Which would mean we can Baptize ourselves if necessary. After all, we are doing just that when a pastor performs the act.

Acts 2
38 Then Peter said unto them, Repent, and be baptized every one of you in the name of Jesus Christ for the remission of sins, and ye shall receive the gift of the Holy Ghost.

People always leave out the most important part. Repenting.
You must first repent, then be Baptized. So its a catch 22
Because we are all sinners and no one fully repents.
And Christians think because they claim to believe,
claim to have repented, and are Baptized by a fellow
sinner, they can sin and get away with it while others
that do the same sins don't and go into eternal punishment.

The ways of the original Church are far from the churches
of today. Baptisms are a joke. If people would just
quit listening to people and read the Book and study
it, you would soon see the simple promise of Salvation.

We are all sinners and will all die in our sin. Everyone needs
the Savior and He promised to save everyone when He returns.

How can you say no one fully repents?

Didn't he at one time say he isn't in our faith? What then would he know about it really? But maybe to throw things out there that are intended to upset a Christian or have us try to correct someone for whom the words of God mean nothing.

A catch 22 is needing to do or have "A" done before "B", but "B" needs to be done before "A" can be done and vice-versa.

Thank you Crustyone, I know the concept I am not understanding how at all, how baptism and repentance are a catch 22 situation as Chuckyz2 is proposing.

I tried to find everything that the bible mentions about baptism and I have found only three things that are necessary to be baptized.

1. Repent of sins

Acts 2:38, 19:4 (38 Peter replied, “Repent and be baptized, every one of you, in the name of Jesus Christ for the forgiveness of your sins. And you will receive the gift of the Holy Spirit. 4 Paul said, “John’s baptism was a baptism of repentance. He told the people to believe in the one coming after him, that is, in Jesus.”)

Mark 1:4 ( And so John the Baptist appeared in the wilderness, preaching a baptism of repentance for the forgiveness of sins.)

Luke 3:3 (He went into all the country around the Jordan, preaching a baptism of repentance for the forgiveness of sins.)

2. Confess their sins

Matthew 3:6 (Confessing their sins, they were baptized by him in the Jordan River.)

Mark 4:5 (The whole Judean countryside and all the people of Jerusalem went out to him. Confessing their sins, they were baptized by him in the Jordan River.)

3. Need to believe

Acts 19:4 (Paul said, “John’s baptism was a baptism of repentance. He told the people to believe in the one coming after him, that is, in Jesus.”) All verses from the NIV.

UnderGrace, I think Chuckiez2 is just confused by what he is reading or reading too much into it.

I just reread Chuckiez2's post and I see where he gets it from, but he also thinks everyone will be saved when Jesus returns because he supposedly loves everyone, which of course is nonsense. Neither God nor Jesus will save those God hates.

God does not hate those that are not saved.

If you know me you would know that all I preach are the words in the Bible.
Because you refuse to except the simply stated and then turn and judge me for posting Bible quotes means you are a unreasonable person. Most likely not a Christian. I know many Christians of different faiths and they may or may not agree with the verses I preach, but none of them act mean like many here do. Lol.
Its like a sheep trap in here and it is odd that it is allowed.
Because I am not of your faith? That makes me unknowing? Lol
Kind of a self righteous statement. If you are so all knowing and wise, why do you refuse to engage me in friendly fair discussions using your knowledge and wisdom to show how the simply stated verses I post that conflict with your theology are wrong.

Thinks? I know. It is simply stated over 50 times in the Bible. Nothing to think about. I think instead of attacking me you should engage in adult like discussion about the verses I posted showing why they do not say what they say. Do you believe in Jesus? You act like a bitter atheist.

The Bible may confuse you, it is really easy for me. Its written simply so as a child could understand it.
Jesus said, if you love me, keep my commands. Is that hard to understand or confusing.
If you sin, the devil is your master. not to complicated.
Repent means to cease sinning. Then be baptized.
Let me know how that works out for you? lol

You need to repent before you get baptized.
that means sin no more.
Yet we are all sinners and will die sinners.
So how can one really with a good conscience
get dunked without lying.
The Bible says first repent, then be Baptized.
Its not complicated.

Actually no. the real definition is;

NOUN

  1. a dilemma or difficult circumstance from which there is no escape because of mutually conflicting or dependent conditions.

Repent does not mean sin no more!!

Let's start there since everything you write after that can only be fixed with correct understanding of repent.

"Metanoia" means to change one's mind

Essentially, it means to think about something later on and have a reversal of thought about it. Thus, repentance meant “to change the mind.” Specifically—to change the mind about Christ and believe that He died for all your sins personally.

It is not Gods will that any shall perish. Sounds more like love to me. And believe His will will be done. Or don't. Its your call. but you will eventually.
