What is more important? To literally say you believe in Christ with your lips, or to show you follow Christ from your heart?
They're both important, and go hand in hand. if you shall confess with your mouth the Lord Jesus, and shall believe in your heart that God has raised him from the dead, you shall be saved.
Confessing with your mouth is an important part of salvation. And if we believe Jesus is the only way (He is), then out of love for muslims and everyone else, we should tell them before it's too late. Also of course show we follow Christ by His love in our heart.

Often we face opposition for confessing Christ, and through all this we should pray for those who hate us, and be loving towards them. Not easy, but we don't have to do it in our own strength

I wanna know what you guys think about this subject. Some Muslims said it is written in the Quran that they should slaughter those who mock their religion. They also don't treat women as they're equal! I mean i could go on and say every bad thing that I notice from their religion tho I couldn't really jump in to conclusion since i don't know the whole story behind it! So I'm asking you guys, do you think Islam is evil?

oh ya! they also claim that Allah is the god of the old testament and that the new testament is corrupted yet that contradicts the bible since God said that he would preserve his word! what do you guys think about this one?
I believe that this question is not a very healthy one to ask. It is also unclear what you put into it, and what you would put into the answer which you would get from others.

There are many religions and ideologies in the world, including Christian ones (which have been made by Christians, often through perverting the teachings of Christ and the Apostles). The thing which all these religions and ideologies have in common is that they are human ideas and systems. Islam is one of those, and in light of what the Bible teaches about mankind, it is evil. It is, however, important to make it clear that all human ideologies are imperfect, and so contain evil elements to a certain degree. Also, it is important to state that "Islam" may be seen as an umbrella, covering many different groups and interpretations. Judging "Islam" as an undivided entity may not be very reasonable.

There are many problematic elements in Islam and beneath the Islamic umbrella. It would be wise, however, to separate between the spiritual/theological part, and the worldly/political part of it. Theologically, Islam is evil because it opposes God's work of salvation through the Son, Jesus Christ, while politically, it contains many elements which are limiting or even combating basic elements of democracy and freedom of the individual.

It is, however, important to state that Islam, like many other religions and ideologies, also has many good qualities and values when it comes to society. Islam contains many of the same moral codes which are found in the Bible, and so, it is not surprizing that it has attained a position of being the moral provider in many societies (in the Islamic world). That is, however, not good enough to rate the religion as good in the eyes of God. There are also many good qualities in communism, but then, there are the bad sides - and we see the same in Islam, and also in the politicized versions of Christianity.

As Christians, we should be very careful with following what Jesus told us of what and where His kingdom is, and he speaks to us quite plainly in John 18, that it is not of this world (and the he himself is not of this world). This may be the biggest difference between Christianity and Islam when it comes to the societal part; that Islam believes in a political realization of the religion, while Jesus rejects this idea completely. In light of this, the doings of Christian Europe for the past 1700 years are not shining examples of Christ's teaching and will. Pointing out everyone else as evil may therefore not be the most fruitful perspective for a Christian. All humans are sinners in the eyes of God, and as Christians we all have to pick up our crosses and follow Jesus each day.

That said, it is important to debate these issues, because they may help us in achieving two goals; the primary being salvation (for Muslims), and the secondary being a better world with more peace and understanding (since problematic elements of political Islam may be unveiled. (About the last part, on the Bible, it is wellknown that Muslims say this, but it is a word-against-word stand-off since Muslims will never accept the vast material which Christians (and Jews) see as validating the Bible. If a Muslim was to accept the Bible as truthful and trustworthy, he would have to reject Islam, as the Bible testifies against it.)

GOD does the revealing to hearts, Didnt God blind the israelites so that the gentiles(us) recieved the promise. We believe God can do anything anytime yet man thinks that cause they havent got the revelation of Jesus then they must be evil. i love that scripture when Jesus says to those who thought they were sheep found themselves to be goats, why??? no love plenty of judgement

Muslims complain when Christians criticize their religion, but the Quran is critical of both Christianity and Judaism. In case those of you who are Muslim don't know it, here in America and many other countries in the world we are free to express our opinions whether you like it or not. If this is against the wishes of God, I am sure He is big enough to handle that without any assistance from you. Anyone of any faith who commits violence against another human being in the name of their God or religion is simply showing how weak their God or religion is. If God is God and Lord of all, he certainly doesn't need us weak human beings to protect His honor. Those of you who can't take having your faith criticized by others need to face facts and realize that God has allowed all human beings the freedom to choose how they want to believe. Who are you to take away the freedom God has so obviously granted?
There are a few points of irony in your post.

1) In America, it's okay to be and say whatever you want...unless you're a Muslim.
2) More than any religious or non-religious people, I've heard Christians whine about mistreatment. Mostly American Christians.
3) Christians, more than anyone else, constantly justify their actions with "defending the faith" or "defending god". Isn't god big enough to handle that without any assistance from you?
4) Christians have been committing violence themselves, you know. You shouldn't act like Muslims are the only ones that do.
5) Again, Christians get the most offended when you criticize their religion, in my experiences.

The difference is in the teachings. Christ never taught that violence was acceptable. Love your enemies. Islam teaches to smite the infidels. A clear difference and contrast.

Not really, if you actually read the Qu'ran in context. Seriously, all of you who have quoted the Qu'ran...have you actually read it, or are you just getting the verses from people who claim they've read it and know what it says? Because I've read the Qu'ran...and it's no worse than the bible.

salammmmmmmm
iam a Muslum girl . all i can say to u ,read Qur'an and decide for youself . what Islam about.
by the way our greeting in Islam is Assalum Alykum = peace be upon u all .
one more thing, i do believe that Islam and true Muslims in the safe side always bcz we belive in all books ,prophets and messangers that preceeds Islam
unlike other religions .We love Moses ,Juses and Mohammad and we don't differnciate between them . i respect others' religions & beliefs
May God = Allah guide us all his right path

if you believe in moses and jesus ,you are not speaking the truth, because muslems dont
follow the 10 comm. and muslems can not see and understand that god put the jews in
canaan, muslems are rebelling against the god that they are praying to,how blind can one get?
you know what will happen every time one rebels against god.
jesus said i am the son of god, but the muslems reject that ,they say no it all corropted.
all trough his teachings he said i come from the father, the muslems say , no he is just a
prophet, but he is a nice man. jesus is a jew , what will he think of a religion that is continuously
persecuting the jews , and very hateful. did not god say, dont hate your brother and come to me
first forgive your brother than you come to me. the koran has simply hijacked the bible for their own,
purpose.but god will take care of that , it is near very near.

Mark 12:29-31

29And Jesus answered him, The first of all the commandments is, Hear, O Israel; The Lord our God is one Lord:

30And thou shalt love the Lord thy God with all thy heart, and with all thy soul, and with all thy mind, and with all thy strength: this is the first commandment. 31And the second is like, namely this, Thou shalt love thy neighbour as thyself. There is none other commandment greater than these.

To be in Christ is to be one in Spirit.

Galatians 3:25-29

25But after that faith is come, we are no longer under a schoolmaster.

26For ye are all the children of God by faith in Christ Jesus.
27For as many of you as have been baptized into Christ have put on Christ.
28There is neither Jew nor Greek, there is neither bond nor free, there is neither male nor female: for ye are all one in Christ Jesus. 29And if ye be Christ's, then are ye Abraham's seed, and heirs according to the promise.

Do you judge this by the law of sin, our school master that was put away with, or by the law of faith?

Honestly, what is the difference between a Christian who follows the above mentioned and the Muslim who does?

ONLY ONE BELIEVE IS GOOD , WE SHOULD KNOW THAT BY NOW.
EVERYTHING THAT DOES NOT COME FROM GOD IS THE OPPOSITE OF GOOD.
DID NOT JESUS SAY , I AM THE WAY, NO MAN CAN COME TO THE FATHER BUT BY ME.
BECAUSE ONE CAN ONLY COME TO GOD BY HIS WORD, AND JESUS IS THE WORD,JOHN1:1.
ONE CAN NOT COME TO GOD BY THE WORD OF MOHAMAD, OR BY THE WORD OF BHUDA. OR
KRISHNA. ONLY JESUS COMES FROM GOD(THE WORD OF GOD .ANYTHING ELSE IS EVIL.
THERE IS ONLY GOOD AND EVIL NONE IN BETWEEN.

There are some good verses in the Quran that make sense. Let there be no coercion (force) in religion, the Quran says. Don't force God on anyone; leave accepting God up to human free will. On the other hand, it says, do not take the Jews and the Christians as your friends, they are friends to each other, but not to you. Islam has a hostile attitude toward Jews especially. It says to kill Jews whenever possible. It has as similar hatred against Christians. Not all Muslims kill or hate Christians, but too many do. Even one Christian or Jew who is killed by a follower of Islam and of Muhammad is one Christian and one Jew too many. Nor should Jews and Christians kill Muslims. But those who commit jihad are bringing judgment on themselves. We cannot just let Osama Bin Laden continue to kill innocent people. Someone must stop him. If he doesn't stop killing, someone someday may kill him. And it would not be a sad day when a killer is killed. How long can they kill innocent people and go unpunished? It is wrong to kill anyone anyway. But it is not wrong to keep them from killing by enforcing the law of self-preservation. It is not wrong to defend oneself against murder. It is not wrong to go to war against people who go to war against your people. Anyway, today the Muslims are at war with other Muslims. See the revolutions in the Arab world. They are rejecting fundamenatlist Islam and opting for a more moderate form of Islam, one that is not so hostile to non-Muslims and one that does not speak against democracy and capitalism.

while we seek to find fault in others for whatever reason we have taken our eyes off Jesus, He looks at all with love unconditional, He is soveriegn, Im sure God knows what He is doing, HE has the master plan, we have the command given, Love God with all, Love thy neighbour (not just those who agree with your own views) as yourself anything after that doesnt register with God,

The problem is not the verse friend, but in it's understanding. Confession is indeed made with the mouth, not in literally saying "Jesus is Lord" but in what you say towards your neighbor.

Luke 18:9-14

9And he spake this parable unto certain which trusted in themselves that they were righteous, and despised others:

10Two men went up into the temple to pray; the one a Pharisee, and the other a publican.
11The Pharisee stood and prayed thus with himself, God, I thank thee, that I am not as other men are, extortioners, unjust, adulterers, or even as this publican.
12I fast twice in the week, I give tithes of all that I possess.
13And the publican, standing afar off, would not lift up so much as his eyes unto heaven, but smote upon his breast, saying, God be merciful to me a sinner. 14I tell you, this man went down to his house justified rather than the other: for every one that exalteth himself shall be abased; and he that humbleth himself shall be exalted.

Did this Pharisee say this aloud in the temple? No. He might have said a lovely prayer (as most Christians do today) aloud in the congregation. But the Bible said he prayed WITHIN HIMSELF. This was what his heart was saying to God. Alot of Christians act this very same way. One who goes to church on Saturday will literally confess Christ with his mouth and yet condemn the Christian who goes to church on Sunday. True confession is not in saying Christ is Lord, but in realizing that we ALL deserve the same fate! SO I confess Christ by giving mercy to the Muslim as I am no better than him! I sell all for Christ and count it as a loss!
