Jesus was tempted at all points because He is a man and yet He is God. A kings son is royalty. Yes He hungered and He felt pain and this is not the only time He was tempted. While some wanted to stone Him others wanted to Make Him King. He could have called ten thousand angels to His defense in the garden When Peter stuck the guard. But, He didn't for you and me and thank God almighty He did not.

Yes, in John. My point was that he only does this in John. I quoted in an earlier post this evening from Luke, where the scripture seems to say Jesus is not God.

I’ll reproduce it here so you don’t have to go searching:
There is also a scripture that says God cannot be tempted, and another that says Jesus was tempted. This is just one of the many things that causes the debate. Many Christians believe that Jesus was fully God and fully man. I believe it is just something that is difficult to impossible to completely understand as human beings.

There are several places that Jesus calls himself, God. John 8:58 is one of them [SUP]57 [/SUP]So the Jews said to Him, “You are not yet fifty years old, and have You seen Abraham?” [SUP]58 [/SUP]Jesus said to them, “Truly, truly, I say to you, before Abraham was born, I am.” [SUP]59 [/SUP]Therefore they picked up stones to throw at Him, but Jesus hid Himself and went out of the temple.

Jesus is referring to Exodus 3:14 [SUP]13 [/SUP]Then Moses said to God, “Behold, I am going to the sons of Israel, and I will say to them, ‘The God of your fathers has sent me to you.’ Now they may say to me, ‘What is His name?’ What shall I say to them?” [SUP]14 [/SUP]God said to Moses, “I AM WHO I AM”; and He said, “Thus you shall say to the sons of Israel, ‘I AM has sent me to you.’”

And that is why they picked up stones to kill Him.

In other words all the places where Jesus says "I am", He is saying that He is God. I am not certain how that works, whether He is God because He is the Son of God or because He was actually God. There is a lot of debate about this among Christians.
Side note: John 8:57 is the first verse that made me think that Jesus' ministry might have been 20 years instead of 3. I have found more verses that support this, but they are not conclusive.

Yes, thank you for having some humility about our understanding. I was reading about a dual nature in Jesus, I was hesitant at first because of some connection to gnosticism, but I'm intrigued by the imagery of both the lamb and the lion. If someone could expand on this I'd be interested.

Show one of the Gospel that dispels this fact. In fact show any biblical passage that dispels it.
All we need now is chapter and verse. Without that, all we have is your opinion, which as you know is nothing to go by as your opinion is just that...your opinion. I was led to believe that atheists don't deal in opinion, they deal in facts and logic, so how about some?

Jesus came as the Lamb, but he is coming back as a lion. Accept the lamb while you can because the lion is coming.

Dawkins is our God? No one can take you seriously when you spout nonsense like this.

Churches? Atheists have churches? I've never heard this before. Can you provide a link? I am most curious.
I'll get you a link. There was one in New York. The people had a huge argument because some atheists wanted atheism to be a main feature and others wanted to include agnostics and people considering new age philosophies or a patchwork quilt religion of their own making. The hardcore atheists became upset and broke off.

The lamb of God and the lion of Judah. When Jesus came the first time he came as the lamb of God to be an offering for sin. When Jesus comes the second time he will be the lion of Judah, an all conquering and victorious king.

Keep your faith focused on the cross and ask Him to reveal His word and guess what He will. You will read something you don't understand or an issue of life will come up that you don't understand. Then three weeks later as your driving to work or what not it hits you and you stop at the intersection and run around your car praising God and people think your nuts.

The only thing atheists take seriously is themselves as all of life revolves around them and what they think!!!

Act presents itself as an historical retelling of events of the early church after the death of Jesus, but scholars have raised a lot of issues with the accuracy of its historicity.
What you meant was atheist scholars who speciality is pulling apart what they don't understand or want to avoid the truth of.

Actually, you are mistaken in this belief. Let me ask you, do you accept the Nebular Hypothesis?

Nebular hypothesis - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

If you do then you don't need God to account for the existence of stars or planets.
You are quite right seventhtrump. And as to be expected, our atheist know it all has decided that because he doesn't believe what you said then it is a mistake. Well I have news for him. I don't believe the goo to you via the zoo rubbish so it must be a mistake.

To add to his joke, he asks you do you believe this or that and takes his source as Wikipedia!!! I ask you, Wikipedia, the site dedicated to atheism and homosexuality judging by the posts they have banned.

I am going to say this again because I think it just about sums up atheists. When they stand before the judgment seat of Christ and they ask him "who are you" he replies "Your worst nightmare."

They have spent 70 years convincing themselves God does not exist and then they will spend eternity finding out they were wrong. Stupid gamblers.

Yes and Scholars found what they thought was ancient animal in Canada until they kept digging and found a tag that said it was an old farm implement.
And don't forget the Piltdown Man who the atheists hailed as the missing link for 50 years, then they admitted it was the skull of a pig.

The typical atheist response to real questions is mockery and obfuscation. Maybe someone here can answer honestly and or humbly.
Yes I agree which only goes to show they know very little except humbug.
