He himself bore our sins in his body on the tree, so that we might die to sins and live for righteousness; by his wounds you have been healed..
1 peter 2:24
For Christ died for sins once for all, the righteous for the unrighteous, to bring you to God...
1 peter (Forgot the verse...)

The cross of our Lord Jesus Christ, through which the world has been crucified to me, and I to the world.
Galatians 6:14

But he was pierced for our transgressions,he was crushed for our iniquities;the punishment that brought us peace was upon him,and by his wounds we are healed
Isaiah 53:5

Those versus may not pertain directly, And take heed I have taken them out of the full story I.E. Galatians Paul is talking more so about false Christians and what truly saves you. But I feel the versus are still going to be relevant to my question.

So Christ took all of our sins upon him and died for us. He was spotless, without blemish, without any sin. But, when he took these sins of the world upon him, did he have to also take them upon him again...???

What I am getting at is Once Christ took our sins upon him, Did they become his sins too? If so did he have to take each sin twice? Or is he being spotless kinda ratify this? Or am I completely mistaken in the scripture? (If so please guide me)

Thank you

I meant to say,

Once Christ took our sins did they become His own. Then since they are His also and He is in human Form. Does He also have to take His new found sins?

Good Q? you ask. But remember when Just took are sin He who knew NO sin became sin for us or He paid the price for our sin while being without sin or doing something that would make him just as guilty as each of us. It was a vicarious death ( on behalf of another). just remember that the Lord Jesus became what he was not He said I know you and I are guilty but Jesus took the punishment for it so you would not have to.

I believe GOD is a GOD of justice just as we have police and courts , whether someone says there forgive they can't just go and not have to pay for a speeding ticket or if you say forgive me for stealing you car now let go me go free, or raping or murdering ,no they must pay for there crime for justice to be with held . GOD is a GOD of Justice(rightiousness) but for GOD to set it right with himself for there be a way to not punish us for our crime, he already had planed what we did do these crimes for the only one who did no crime to exchange our crime of punishment onto him.Remember GOD is a GOD of justice(rightiuosness) so somebodys gotta pay for this. it a way for GOD to make it right with himself .

oh yeah I got carried away and forgot I think GOD took it easier on Jesus to not send him to hell forever cause he was inocent he didnt deserve to go to hell forever but he was punished to the most brutal punishment to take to the death for us.

So true... I completely forgot about the biggest part... Jesus did this out of love, He took our sins and forgave us... What stronger act of kindness?

Just brought to prospective in my opinion how much we should still owe Him... Thank you guys for responding :)

Yes, Christ did it out of love.
He bore our iniquity in His body on the cross yet remained the precious Lamb without blemish and spot. Glory to His name!
:)

Isaiah 53:6 - All we like sheep have gone astray; we have turned every one to his own way; and the LORD hath laid on him the iniquity of us all.
2 Cor 5:21 - For he hath made him to be sin for us, who knew no sin; that we might be made the righteousness of God in him.

Topics like this are weird for me... Its like you understand what God did, You can recite it out of memory 2,000 times... But that one time you feel the essence of what God did, out weighs every time you have recited the words...

Someone or something brings principal into reality... To know the word love and to experience love are two different things...

Thank you all of you

This is what most don't see about Jesus. He left the awesome glory to become a man. Then once a man, be killed for doing good and preaching the gospel and healing the sick. They even accused Him of His miracles as acts of Satan. As far as we know from whats in the bible He will remain in this form forever. Wow!!!

You might carry someone with a broken leg upon your shoulders without having one yourself.

end of partial quote

Romans 6:10
8 Now if we be dead with Christ, we believe that we shall also live with him:

9 Knowing that Christ being raised from the dead dieth no more; death hath no more dominion over him.

10 For in that he died, he died unto sin once: but in that he liveth, he liveth unto God.

11 Likewise reckon ye also yourselves to be dead indeed unto sin, but alive unto God through Jesus Christ our Lord.

1 Cor 15:45 And so it is written, The first man Adam was made a living soul; the last Adam was made a quickening spirit.
1 Cor 15:47 The first man is of the earth, earthy: the second man is the Lord from heaven.
Rom 5:18 Therefore as by the offence of one, judgment came upon all men to condemnation; even so by the righteousness of one, the free gift came upon all men unto justification of life.

2 Corinthians 5:21
New International Version (©2011)
God made him who had no sin to be sin for us, so that in him we might become the righteousness of God.
King James Bible (Cambridge Ed.)
For he hath made him to be sin for us, who knew no sin; that we might be made the righteousness of God in him.

It is all about God's love for us; humanity, His greatest creation. Jesus is the perfect sacrificial lamb as explained in the OT concerning the "first born lamb without spot or blemish for sin atonement of the nation and as a typology of the future event of the one perfect sacrifice that we know today as the Crucifixion".

Yes, Jesus died for all sins that were committed, had been committed, and will be committed. The shed blood of Jesus is an ever flowing stream of Blood reaching through all generations of humanity.

1. Jesus took upon himself all sins of all humanity and became that sin. He became homosexual, liar, cheater, adulterer/adulteress, murderer, thief, bad guy, bad girl, bad man, bad woman, every and any sin that could be committed, would be committed, and had been committed against God. Then the worst of the matter, He took the wrath of the Father in the spirit to satisfy the Farther's justice.

2. Jesus "died" once for all humanity's sin, not twice but we can crucify him again after accepting salvation.

3. Now we, who have accepted that precious gift of life from Jesus are now hidden in His Righteousness by faith

I enjoyed participating in this forum and these comments are my understanding and answer to the questions.
Great question.
