He who calls upon the name of the Lord shall be saved. He who comes to Me, I shall in no means turn him away. Whoever believeth on Him shall not perish but inherit eternal life. For those who are in Christ Jesus there remains no more condemnation for them... All sins and blasphemies will be forgiven men except for the blasphemy of the Holy Spirit he who blasphemes against the Holy Spirit is in danger of eternal condemnation. I'm confused does Jesus forgive all sins or all but one?

Where exactly does it say Jesus forgives all sin.
Acts 13:37-39 ~ But he, whom God raised again, saw no corruption. 38Be it known unto you therefore, men and brethren, that through this man is preached unto you the forgiveness of sins: 39And by him all that believe are justified from all things, from which ye could not be justified by the law of Moses.

Acts 26:18 ~ To open their eyes, and to turn them from darkness to light, and from the power of Satan unto God, that they may receive forgiveness of sins, and inheritance among them which are sanctified by faith that is in me.

Eph 1:7~In whom we have redemption through his blood, the forgiveness of sins, according to the riches of his grace.

Col 1:14 ~ In whom we have redemption through his blood, even the forgiveness of sins.

Eph 4:32 And be ye kind one to another, tenderhearted, forgiving one another, even as God for Christ's sake hath forgiven you.

1Jn 2:12 I write unto you, little children, because your sins are forgiven you for his name's sake.

Psalm 103:2-10 ~Bless the LORD, O my soul, and forget not all his benefits:
3Who forgiveth all thine iniquities; who healeth all thy diseases;
4Who redeemeth thy life from destruction; who crowneth thee with lovingkindness and tender mercies;
5Who satisfieth thy mouth with good things; so that thy youth is renewed like the eagle's.
6The LORD executeth righteousness and judgment for all that are oppressed.
7He made known his ways unto Moses, his acts unto the children of Israel.
8The LORD is merciful and gracious, slow to anger, and plenteous in mercy.
9He will not always chide: neither will he keep his anger for ever.
10He hath not dealt with us after our sins; nor rewarded us according to our iniquities.

Col 2:10,13 ~ And ye are complete in him, which is the head of all principality and power:
13And you, being dead in your sins and the uncircumcision of your flesh, hath he quickened together with him, having forgiven you all trespasses.

How can God impute His very own righteousness to us without having cleansed and forgiven us of all sin, trespasses and iniquities / Rom 4:6-8, Rom 5:17-21? How can we be considered complete in Him without having been cleansed and forgiven of all sin? When all sin was transferred to the body of Christ on the cross, all sin was paid for by the blood and death of Christ. When we believed upon Christ, who paid for all our sin, did He not forgive and cleanse us of all our sin that He bore and paid for on the cross? If He only forgave and cleansed some of our sin but not all sin, wouldn't that make His salvation come short and be incomplete?

So when we read, 'forgiveness of sins' that is the total sum of all sin. The blood of Christ covers all sin and all sin has been put away through the sacrifice of Christ. So many believers struggle with guilt because they do not understand that Christ has put away, forgiven and cleansed them of all sin through the finished work of Christ. Our identity is with the cross of Christ no matter how much we find ourselves in sin. This is not justification to live in sin but to be free from sin as as a stronghold and having dominion over us. Some who sin want to live in guilt to pay for their sin and will resort to various forms of penance. They are ignoring the cross and what Christ did to their sin and for them. Christ did not become your sin so that you would have to live in guilt, He became sin so that you could become and enjoy the righteousness of God that put away your sin forever.

That's correct, all sins are forgiven except for one. I don't really understand what blasphemy of the Holy Spirit is, and I'm content not to know.

You're a teenager and you want to learn. Try this. The unpardonable sin, as you refer to it, is blasphemy against the Holy Spirit and you are saying that it is an unforgivable sin. I want you to find in the two passages of scripture / Mt 12:30-35, Mk 3:22-30 where this issue is referred to, where Jesus calls blasphemy against the Holy Spirit sin or a sin. If you can not find it then you have to say that Christ was only referring to blasphemy against the Holy Spirit as being unforgivable. Blasphemy is when someone speaks and attributes evil to one who is doing good. In this case, those that blaspheme or speak evil of the Holy Spirit are saying that the work of the Holy Spirit is evil and those that do the work of the Holy Spirit have an unclean spirit. This kind of blasphemy is not sin but it is speaking evil of God's Holy Spirit.

Jesus Christ did not die and shed His blood for evil but He did die and shed His blood for sin. The evil that is associated with Satan and the kingdom of darkness was never offered redemption through the blood of Christ, so a person that is occupied with this evil and calls the work of the Holy Spirit an evil and unclean thing commits evil and not sin. Therefore it cannot be forgiven in this world or the next to come because God does not forgive evil. To blaspheme the Holy Spirit is evil and not sin and can never be forgiven. Those that participate in this kind of blasphemy are in danger of eternal ****ation. They are not automatically condemned but are in danger of it. What they need to do is allow the Holy Spirit to convict them of 'judgment' and not 'sin' (in this case), so that they can repent of the evil blasphemy they have committed against the Holy Spirit and against those that are doing the work of the Holy Spirit.

So blasphemy against the Holy Spirit is not an unpardonable sin but it is an unforgivable evil that must be overcome and repented of to escape eternal ****ation.

Matthew 12
31 “Therefore I say to you, every sin and blasphemy will be forgiven men, but the blasphemy against the Spirit will not be forgiven men.
32 Anyone who speaks a word against the Son of Man, it will be forgiven him; but whoever speaks against the Holy Spirit, it will not be forgiven him, either in this age or in the age to come.

That is the only unforgivable sin. It is clearly stated there. Anyway around that would be a private interpretation.

2 Peter
19 And so we have the prophetic word confirmed, which you do well to heed as a light that shines in a dark place, until the day dawns and the morning star rises in your hearts;
20 knowing this first, that no prophecy of Scripture is of any private interpretation,
21 for prophecy never came by the will of man, but holy men of God spoke as they were moved by the Holy Spirit.

Jesus Christ did not die and shed His blood for evil but He did die and shed His blood for sin
Jesus didn't die to redeem sin. He died to redeem mankind.

1 Timothy 1:15
This is a faithful saying and worthy of all acceptance, that Christ Jesus came into the world to save sinners, of whom I am chief.

So blasphemy against the Holy Spirit is not an unpardonable sin but it is an unforgivable evil that must be overcome and repented of to escape eternal ****ation.
You sir, are clearly contradicting Scripture.

I believe it is rejecting Jesus your personal Lord and Savior. I believe that non-Christians who die - when they die and do not receive the gift of God - eternal life. They are committing that sin when they die.

Jesus said ALL sins would be forgiven except that. So if ALL of their sins were forgiven they would not go to hell - they would go to heaven. So if they reject Jesus as Lord they are pretty much rejecting forgiveness of sins. (Not to mention a personal relationship with the Creator of heaven and Earth)..

But I think that is what the unforgivable sin is.. Rejecting Jesus as Lord. I could be wrong but I haven't seen any Scripture to go against that.

John 7:39
But this He spoke concerning the Spirit, whom those believing in Him would receive; for the Holy Spirit was not yet given, because Jesus was not yet glorified.

If you believe in Jesus, personal Lord and Savior. You are receiving the Holy Spirit. When you believe in Jesus you have the Holy Spirit living in you

1 Corinthians 3:16
Do you not know that you are the temple of God and that the Spirit of God dwells in you?

So rejecting this Holy Spirit (Blasphemy of the Holy Spirit), would be rejecting salvation. Why?.. Well...

John 16
12 “I still have many things to say to you, but you cannot bear them now.
13 However, when He, the Spirit of truth, has come, He will guide you into all truth; for He will not speak on His own authority, but whatever He hears He will speak; and He will tell you things to come.
14 He will glorify Me, for He will take of what is Mine and declare it to you.

Jesus uses the Holy Spirit to speak to us..

The Holy Spirit is God, rejecting God - rejecting salvation. But when you "accept" Jesus as your Lord and Savior or acknowledge that.. You than will be filled with the Holy Spirit and don't worry you can't lose it.

Hebrews 13:5
Let your conduct be without covetousness; be content with such things as you have. For He Himself has said, “I will never leave you nor forsake you.”

Sorry if that was confusing at all.. I can explain it in a different way if it was..

Oh sorry, that has to do with the context of the passage, I was just referring to one part of the Scripture.

John 7
37 On the last day, that great day of the feast, Jesus stood and cried out, saying, “If anyone thirsts, let him come to Me and drink.
38 He who believes in Me, as the Scripture has said, out of his heart will flow rivers of living water.”
39 But this He spoke concerning the Spirit, whom those believing in Him would receive; for the Holy Spirit was not yet given, because Jesus was not yet glorified.

Jesus was still on Earth at that time so He was not glorified yet, He didn't die on the Cross yet. That is why it says that.

Is there an unpardonable sin?

Some Christians who love the lord believe there is no such thing as an unpardonable sin. They say that for God not to forgive a certain sin goes against the very nature of God. "who forgives all our sins"

Psalm 103:3

Psalm 103:3 (New King James Version)
3 Who forgives all your iniquities, Who heals all your diseases,

They say that to say there is an unpardonable sin is to deny the free, abundant grace God wants to give every person. But the word clearly says

QUOTE
" And i tell you, every sin and blasphemy will be forgiven men , but the blasphemy against the Spirit will not be forgiven. Anyone who speaks against the Son of Man will be forgiven, but anyone who speaks against the Holy Spirit will not be forgiven, either in this age or the age to come. " (Matthew 12:31:32)

From the above scripture we can understand three things.
1. All sin will be forgiven except one.
2. Blasphemy is equated with speaking against the Holy Spirit
3.Such Blasphemy is an eternal sin that has no forgiveness in this age or the age to come.

It is clear that this is a very serious sin.

First off, Lets discuss what the unpardonable sin IS NOT
the unpardonable, or unforgivable sin is not the "sin which leads to death." mentioned in 1 John 5:16 which says

QUOTE
1 John 5:16 (New King James Version)
16 If anyone sees his brother sinning a sin which does not lead to death, he will ask, and He will give him life for those who commit sin not leading to death. There is sin leading to death. I do not say that he should pray about that.

This sin spoken of here in the above verse; which is a sin that leads to death, would be a sin such as Alcoholism which totally destroys a persons liver and leads to death... While this person can come to the lord and be saved, they die because of the consequences of the sins. This could be drug addicts... even murderers in prison who have to pay for their crimes by death... Yet... they are born again of the Spirit and shall live eternal lives with Jesus.

So there are sins which lead to death, but this sin is not the unpardonable sin.

The unpardonable sin is not a s*xual sin

The Corinthian church was full of converted Adulterers, fornicators, homosexuals who once had lived in immorality, but now were washed and sanctified in the blood of Jesus (1 cor 6:11)

The unpardonable sin is not suicide or murder

Paul himself had been a murderer and if a person commits suicide, Gods word clearly says in Romans

QUOTE
Romans 8:38 (New King James Version)
38 For I am persuaded that neither death nor life, nor angels nor principalities nor powers, nor things present nor things to come, 39 nor height nor depth, nor any other created thing, shall be able to separate us from the love of God which is in Christ Jesus our Lord.

The unpardonable sin is not grieving or quenching the Holy Spirit by a believer

1 Thessalonians 5:19, Paul exhorts us not to quench the Spirit. Eph 4:30 tells us not to grieve the Holy Spirit, but as Christians, we sometimes do both and they are forgiven because they are under the blood of Jesus which washes us from all our sins

QUOTE
1 John 1:7 (New King James Version)
7 But if we walk in the light as He is in the light, we have fellowship with one another, and the blood of Jesus Christ His Son cleanses us from all sin.

Simply put, the unpardonable sin cannot be committed by any believer

Now, in context of the scripture, lets take a look at exactly WHAT IS THE UNPARDONABLE SIN

QUOTE
Matthew 12:22 (New King James Version)
22 Then one was brought to Him who was demon-possessed, blind and mute; and He healed him, so that the blind and[a] mute man both spoke and saw. 23 And all the multitudes were amazed and said,Could this be the Son of David? 24 Now when the Pharisees heard it they said, This fellow does not cast out demons except by Beelzebub,[a] the ruler of the demons.

The Pharisees said He was doing His mighty work by the power of satan, rather than God.

The religious leaders of the day had reached such a low state of spirtual decay that they called evil good and good evil. They refused to accept that Jesus was the promised Messiah. Their sin then , was the repeated rejection of Jesus as the Christ until they no longer were able to accept Him for who He was.

Now, the Word of God clearly teaches us that it is the Holy Spirit who brings truth to men. The Holy Spirit is the God ordained vehicle by which every man comes to know Jesus. The Holy Spirit is God's instrument of revelation of God to man, and, the Holy Spirit alone enables man to know the truth when they see it.

So.... the Pharisees rejected God's only vehicle , the only means God uses to direct them to the truth of who Jesus was. Doing this, cut them off from God's grace.

To continually reject the Holy Spirit is to blaspheme the Holy Spirit and to leave that person outside of God's grace. To continually reject the Holy Spirit is to reject the message which the Holy Spirit brings... The Gospel of Jesus Christ which is able to save us.
To reject the message is to reject repentance. To reject repentance is to reject salvation. If we reject God's salvation enough times, we can reach a state where we are beyond being reachable by the Gospel message... we've sealed our fate...

But God is longsuffering and desires that none would perish. It is accounted unto all man once to die. We have this one life to live and this one life in which we can turn to Jesus or reject Him.

So.. to Blaspheme the Holy Spirit cannot be done by a believer. To blaspheme the Holy Spirit is to reject the vehicle of salvation.. it is to reject the saving Grace which Jesus died upon the cross to give to all mankind.

To blaspheme the Holy Spirit is the only sin which leaves one outside of Gods grace.

its rejecting Jesus

DeeperStill.
This was a quote from another thread. I think that is pretty accurate.

Blasphemy against the Holy Spirit has nothing to do with sin or rejecting the work of the Holy Spirit for salvation. Rejecting the work of the Holy Spirit for salvation is unbelief and I can be persuaded to believe, but if I call that work evil, unclean and from the devil, that is blasphemy against the Holy Spirit. A ministry that has been raised up of God and is doing the work of God through the leading of the Holy Spirit and that work is spoken of as being evil and unclean and from the devil, that is blasphemy against the Holy Spirit. That is not sin, it's worse than sin because it is evil. When a believer or a ministry lays their life down and loves the undesirable and that love is criticized and judged as not being from God, they better be careful what they are saying because the fruit of the Holy Spirit is love.

I agree it is nothing to do with unbelief, alone. Unbelief is forgiveable, as every christian who was an unbeilever and became a believer can testify. Of course, the fact that those who blaspheme the Spirit are unsaved persons (as a christian would never do that), is implicit, but not the main reason why it is the unforgiveable sin. In that sense, yes, the ones who Jesus spoke to, were hardened sinners with no chance to repent. They were children of the devil, not children of God (Judaism at the time consisted of both types of people), and so would never turn to Christ and be saved. They sealed their fate by blaspheming the saving work of the Holy Spirit in their own hearts, but also to prevent others from coming to know the truth. It was unforgiveable because they a) could not and would not repent, b) would not be forgiven , as blaspheming the Spirit has eternal consequences, unlike blaspheming Christ or the Father. PS. indirectly, this belief proves the Trinity, and not Modalism/Oneness.

Blasphemy the Holy Spirit it purposely and knowingly attributing something you know to be of God to Satan, and it is not the only unforgivable sin. According to scripture unforgiveness, unbelief, unrepentance, and Apostasy are all unforgivable.
