God, let John the Apostle see the revelation of the Lord Jesus; the revelation is written in the Book of Revelation in the Bible. In the revelation, Lord Jesus addresses the Nicolaitans, among others, and Nicolaitans' works - which He hates. In the Book of Revelation, we can read what were the Nicolaitans' works and doctrines which Lord Jesus hates. This topic is extremely important, and we should understand it, and we should stick to the truth in regard to this topic and reject the works and doctrines of the Nicolaitans because some of their doctrines still prevail among Christianity.

I have never seen a solid definition of what a ""Nicolatian" is ..

The doctrine of Balaam was a tactic to defeat the people of God.. Simply put the way Balaam advised to defeat the people of God was to get them to go against the will of God.. For the Hebrews being lead by Moses it was to get them to take part in pagan celebrations and to fornicate/ commit adultery with the locals... He advised the king to get them to break the Law.. A modern version would be to get Christians to accept doctrines that are against the Gospel of the Atonement of the LORD Jesus Christ.. doctrines of demons..

There is also some that think the doctrine of the ""Nicolatian" is that they are attempting to "lord it over the laity" which the name "Nicolatins" means to "rule over the laity":

The word “Nicolaitan” (nikolaites) gives us a clear hint of reigning over people through religious doctrines and works.
