So, do we just write off John 1:1 ? The Word is known to be Jesus... "the Word was with God", illustrating the separation
of the Trinity, "the Word was God"... showing the divinity, or the "God-ness" of the Trinity... from the beginning....

John 1:1

Do you have eyes but fail to see, and ears but fail to hear?

The Word became flesh and made his dwelling among us. We have seen his glory,
the glory of the one and only Son, who came from the Father, full of grace and truth.

I find it strange that we have differing opinions on God's name but not on Jesus name, the majority of people all say Jesus even though the Hebrew language doesn't have any J sounds, and it didn't come into the English language until the 16th century. 'The Bible tells us that "There is no other name which to be saved with' shows the importance surely.
All replies welcome
You already know that the name given to Mary and Joseph by the angel from God was Jesus.
Those who.teach we must pronounce it in Hebrew do not know Hebrew.
The Hebrew language was lost and the current one was invented in the 1800s.
Plants and animals don't evolve, but languages do. Judges 12 puts an exclamation point on that fact.

"And the Gileadites took the passages of Jordan before the Ephraimites: and it was so, that when those Ephraimites which were escaped said, Let me go over; that the men of Gilead said unto him, Art thou an Ephraimite? If he said, Nay;6 Then said they unto him, Say now Shibboleth: and he said Sibboleth: for he could not frame to pronounce it right. Then they took him, and slew him at the passages of Jordan: and there fell at that time of the Ephraimites forty and two thousand."

The pronunciation was one tribe's test to determine if their enemy was trying to enter the land.
Do you think God has this strict rule to determine if you will go to heaven or not?
The Hebrew roots movement seems to think so, but I don't. The Hebrew Roots sects would have us believe that you must not pronounce Jesus' name in common Greek, but rather in Hebrew, which the Bible shows is absolutely wrong.
I caution you and others to beware of the Hebrew Roots sects that would try to persuade you to keep the law to be saved or to maintain salvation.
That is the main doctrine of many of them.

Here's a little bit about the truth of Grace in Jesus. Someone shared the same message with me and this makes far more sense. Let me know what you think Mawake.

Heaven?

Jesus is quoting the 22nd Psalm.
By making the Holy Spirit into a person, it implies that God is forever limited to three individuals. It denies the very purpose for which God created mankind!
There is NO trinity

Correct Jesus became flesh, and yes he came from The FATHER because he's his SON

Just a head's up:

Denying the Deity of Jesus Christ is the number one theology-based reason for getting oneself banned.
I believe God is the Father, his Son is Jesus, that is biblical, there is no mention of a trinity in the Bible.
If I get banned from this forum for believing what the Bible says, then there is something morally wrong here.
I told you I believe they are separate, and that Jesus is called the Son of God more than 50 times in the Bible not God the Son.
You keep pushing and pushing me with your beliefs, I stick to the Bible.
Not all Christians believe in a trinity.
Matthew 24:36, when Jesus told His disciples that no one knows the day or hour of His return but the Father only, did He really know but made up an excuse to not tell them?
John 14:28, Jesus said His Father was greater than He was. Does this mean He was greater than Himself?
John 20:17, Jesus said He would ascend to the Father after His resurrection. Did He ascend to Himself?

These and many other biblical passages demonstrate to a rational Bible reader that the Trinity teaching is not only unbiblical, but also utterly illogical

Open your eyes to the FACT that Jesus is identified as the WORD (GOD) Who became flesh.

I see you don't care to be a member here.

Peculiar how you wish to limit what God can and cannot do...

Seems you also deny that Jesus fulfilled God's plan for humanity. Strange indeed!

So to be a CHRISTIAN member here, I am expected to believe in a trinity?

Nobody said that. But you cannot push your heresies and not expect to get in trouble. Especially since, now you know.

Atheism is not mentioned in the Bible either... nor agnosticism, nor secular humanism, or even coffee ☕

Radio, television, the internet... we could compile a pretty long list of things not mentioned in the Bible.

Clearly it does not mean they do not exist.

Is I was an atheist I wouldn't be on a Christian chat forum, you are switching subjects, I have committed no heresies, believing Jesus is the Son of God is a heresie?

Ok.... so, this thread should be closed, correct? You asked people for their opinions, and all you have done is deny and argue with them.
What exactly are you hoping to accomplish by taking it further?
This is beginning to feel very troll-like...

Wrong: quite a few atheists, agnostics, and secular humanists have joined here. You miss the forest for the trees.

I am not switching subjects. You are contradicting yourself and accuse others of pushing heresies while
pushing your own, and you know very well what it is since I identified it quite clearly for you.

Your bait and switch will not work.

I asked people for their views on Jesus name, not God's name, two different names here. What I was getting from certain individuals was their viewpoints on their beliefs on a trinity which was off topic .

It is not off topic when Jesus is God in the flesh. There is no other Name under heaven
by which you may be saved, and if you do not know Who He is you will die in your sins.

Have I not already said that he is God's Son?

As one just as we are, meaning being on the same wavelength in thoughts
But the verse does not say that they are similar. The verse (John 17:11) says that they have the same name.

Can you explain how the Father and the Son have the same name?

Here is another question for you.

Who's portrait is painted below.

Revelation 1:13-15
And in the middle of the lampstands I saw one like a son of man, clothed in a robe reaching to the feet, and wrapped around the chest with a golden sash. His head and His hair were white like white wool, like snow; and His eyes were like a flame of fire. His feet were like burnished bronze when it has been heated to a glow in a furnace, and His voice was like the sound of many waters.

The portrait above is a portrait of Jesus.

Now a painting found in the Old Testament of YHWH.

Ezekiel 1:2628
Now above the expanse that was over their heads there was something resembling a throne, like lapis lazuli in appearance; and on that which resembled a throne, high up, was a figure with the appearance of a man. Then I noticed from the appearance of His waist and upward something like gleaming metal that looked like fire all around within it, and from the appearance of His waist and downward I saw something like fire; and there was a radiance around Him. Like the appearance of the rainbow in the clouds on a rainy day, so was the appearance of the surrounding radiance. Such was the appearance of the likeness of the glory of the YHWH.

These two portraits are identical (Ezekiel and Revelation), hence Jesus is YHWH.
