I think I will return my expensive toilet that saves energy, flushes quietly, conforms to my ..... and begin using an outhouse. And maybe suggest this to Joyce.

It is difficult to be above reproach in this day and age. No matter who you are. I can only extend grace to her. And know that God is always by her side, and always at work with her teaching, exhorting her, but above all, LOVING her. Can we do less?

This site is to share with each other what WE believe (and may be subject to debate), but why bring up people and talk about their beliefs who are not even here to correct the facts?

I have to admit that I wish my toilet seat was a little warmer (oh, yes, they have them, don't they?) and that it changed shapes as various people sat on it. Would that cost more? But even if it cost $1,000, by the time people talked about it, it would become $23,000.00 And if enough people got on board with the idea, it would soon be a $100,000.00 toilet.

I am sure that in my past teaching, I have said some things that were in error (but never intentionally). I was only being true to what I thought the Lord had shown me, and He honored my faith in sharing. I always trusted that anything I said in error would be forgotten or not take root. I even prayed this.

Joyce, as I am, is a Christian sister who is in progress. And the Holy Spirit will take care of what she misunderstands and teaches even if incorrectly. And will continue leading every person who belongs to Christ into the truth.

I admire her faithfulness to what she believes. And can only ask myself, am I doing the same?

Do you personally know Joyce Meyer? Do you know beyond the shadow of a doubt that she is a wolf, or are you just judging by what you have heard others say and that you think she makes too much money?
LOL...I suppose we shouldnt believe anything written ever about anyone in history either by your definition.
Yes, I have heard her words of heresy COME STRAIGHT FROM HER MOUTH.

I do know beyond a shadow of a doubt. Why dont you? I posted a video for example. I guess I am not just going on what others say am i? The video is not my limits to her position. I have done due diligence.

I havent responded with anything about her money. Are you actually reading the threads or are you just jumping in to bite?

So you are going to turn this into a anti televangelist thread now? How many people in the world do these televangelists reach daily? Getting the Word out through television costs money to do. Do I agree with all of them? No not at all. Also my comment was directed at Yet so I guess I should have replied to his statement. He seems to think Christians can't be blessed by God and be wealthy.
You asked a question. I answered it.

And the original post is about who? Oh, a televangelist.

So you can twist my response into something you can try to argue, since you can't answer for it as is.
And this is a PUBLIC forum, so anyone has the right to respond to any of your posts. If you don't like that you should find a different medium to communicate with because you will hate it here.
Jesus got the word out, didn't cost him a lot of money. Same as Paul and many others. Paul often only asked for a place to sleep and then worked to earn his money. He didn't prostitute the gospel.
And if it required a lot of money to preach (which it doesn't) what does that have to do with these 'ministers' becoming filthy rich and milking poor people have to do with it?
They may be reaching a lot, but it's not the gospel they're issuing. My bible doesn't teach we are little gods. Joyce Meyers bible does, apparently.
Theres a long history of televangelists being proven as frauds.

You are correct in one thing you said. We should continue leading every person in truth!

Tell me, are we little gods as Joyce Meyer has said? Did Jesus get "reborn" ? She has been recorded of stating many unbiblical heresies.
I posted a video and her book goes into great detail. Was Jesus' payment on the cross or in hell? According to Joyce he paid in hell as well. I suggest you do some research. You are only siding with a wolve at this juncture. My statements are BACKED with proof. Your words unfortunately are those of someone who has not looked behind the sheep disguise .

I can only hope you arent spreading heresy! smh.....but you are defending evil.

I've listened to her a dozen times and in those times I have agreed with everything she said. Perhaps you are mistaken that is teaching heresy. Possibly it's just something that you don't understand or something that disagrees with your particular doctrine.

Unfortunately with writing its hard to bestow tonality. I think CS1 just made that point on another thread where you admitted to being facetious. Sarcasm is NOT from God. It may be time to step back and leave me alone? I told you I am not going to spar with you. I tried to let you know I am not exploding and I am not yelling. I dont know what else to say!!!
Im defending the truth.

I have the love of Christ in me to extend grace when I called you sister. The fact that you doubt that speaks to your lack of discernment. Ember, why did you come on this thread just to hammer me and be mean? Are you trying to hurt me? I dont even know you! I pray the Lord bless you and his grace to shine upon you. Amen

that kind of gives me the creeps that you would try and use something like that to make me sound evil

get a grip

poor Joyce with you on her tail...will I be in your next blog post?

I was 'on' this thread long before you were blondie

you seem to think you can just shoot in all directions and if someone disagrees with you, well then, they seem to become as evil in your eyes as whoever your false prophet and wolf in sheep's clothing target of the moment actually is

there was no bad exchange between myself and CS1...because they are a mod, it makes it look as if something bad went down

you came on this thread like gangbusters and then when I or someone else calls you on it, you go all 'oh poor little me'

you know what? if you can't take it, maybe you should not dish it

not one single person in the entire universe ever got all there is to know about God correct..I appreciate quite a bit of what Joyce Meyers has to say but I don't ALWAYS agree(that does not make her a wolf in sheep's clothing)...but then, I'm not a against the gifts and I have read your posts wherein you are very anti the present day gifts of the Holy Spirit

so, you know, maybe you should realize that we are not all on the same page and stop generalizing..

well one more thing...this thread is actually about spreading rumors and lies and exaggerating...

there are worse things then having a fancy toilet...at any rate, she does not have any such toilet

I've been the target of false accusations and hung out to dry...it's poison and people need to stop

blondieindahouse, please don't say those things to Joidevvre. :( She has been a blessing and a great encourager to so many people here with beautiful messages of hope in Jesus and also her gifted art work that always includes the Word of God in it. Her beloved husband has recently gone on to the Lord but Joi faithfully continued to encourage other people (me included!!!) even through her grief.

Because most modern televangelists sell the gospel, not give it away. And worse yet they sell a false gospel.
Most doesn't mean all.

I'm glad this thread got put up, thank you very much Lancelot. I've listened to Joyce for many years and have been blessed by her ministry. I hate the gossip and false information put out there on anyone. I know what you mean sis ember when you said you have been misunderstood and put out to dry a few times too LOL I've gotten a taste of it myself many times and I think it makes us more keen on not ever wanting to do that to anyone AND doing our best to defend others when we see it happening.

It sure gives us a huge respect and appreciation for the truth and how easy the world can take something just plain and simple and blow it up into something that ruins lives especially for those people who are 'out there' on tv,radio or anywhere in the public eye. The enemy uses these tactics, and especially the MONEY issue $$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$ to actually BLOW PEOPLE OUT OF THE WATER AND OUT INTO SPACE. I see money gets people's attention just about EVERY TIME. Wow.

It is a verrrryyyyy touchy subject. And I agree with shotgunners post about it.

And just a note to ViotetReigns and Joidevivre., you 2 ladies are just the sweetest I just want to hug you both. Your posts are always so good and kind and uplifting to my heart. And ember, you are both bold and swift to address an issue and stick with it until it's clearly out in the open. Staying on topic is so important on here. I appreciate the way you stay and hash it out with people. You did it with me and didn't judge me and walk away and because of that, we are friends now. :D I so treasure your friendship here on CC. There is more too each of us then meets the eye on a thread. Blessings!!

There you go again, Ken. Half my family lives in and around KC, and the dirt cheap prices you keep quoting just don't exist... not even in Independence. Unless you buy junk. Even at Menard's, you can't buy a decent toilet and a dresser for less than $200, combined. I paid about $260 for a mid-range toilet at Home Depot. The last modest wooden, red oak dresser I bought was $600... $150 more for the matching mirror. And that was around 8 years ago.

Well that is where you are wrong because I just installed a new toilet in my house 6 months ago, and for the whole toilet it only cost $75 dollars at Do-It-Best hardware.

Also I just bought a new dresser for $50 two years ago so those prices do exist if one would just look around instead of having to gone to big name chains. Even then you can still find cheaper prices less then $600-$2,000 dollars.

Heck there is even a place in Kansas City, Missouri called Gaines Furniture where you can by a whole bedroom set for less then $2,000.

The focus shouldnt be on a toilet she bought or anything else she bought right? That is only a result of her identity
KennethC I think this whole thread is absolutely ridiculous. We need to be focusing on Joyce Meyers straying from the truth of Christ' gospel.
Yes I understand that and I am with you when it comes to things she teaches and I will not go as far as calling her a false teacher yet, but will say she is misunderstanding in some areas in which she needs to be corrected on.

I have seen her say some good things that are biblically sound but I have seen her also say things that do not align with scripture. She falls along in line with others such as Joseph Prince who I also have seen one minute say good things but the next say things that does not align with God's word.

The thing about the money however is that some think people like me have an issue with her or others having money and being rich. That has nothing to do with it as being rich is not a sin, however how they manage and what they do with the money can be sinful and thus also does influence what they teach.

The bible is very clear that the greed for money has drawn some from the truth to teach lies !!!

Kenneth, I should have said that only the first two paragraphs I posted were directed toward you. The rest was for anyone in judgment of another.

I still disagree that you or anyone else is allowed to publically criticize someone else. That's not what scripture teaches. If you think someone is in the wrong, you are to go to them and plead your case. You are not to publically condemn anyone about something that you think you know.
Well first you need to distinguish between condemning and righteous judgment of calling another out on their false teachings.

Because for some reason you think I am condemning a person which never has been said or done by me. I am instead calling out and exposing what they or others teach that does not align with the Word of God. That in no way is condemning a person by doing that, and Jesus called out the Pharisees in front of others as well did John the Baptist call out openly King Herod on his sin.

We are called to expose the works of darkness (Ephesians 5:11) not keep them hidden from others. If we sit back and do not tell others of the falsehoods another teaches we will be held accountable for letting others fall under the false teachings instead of warning them.

God bless
