How will you feel when you die, your waiting by a big door or whatever. And next to you is a Muslim, a Mormon, A Buddhist, an Atheist and a Hindu. All of which are also nervously waitin to see who walks out of that door to greet you.

Then, as you believe, your god come out to welcome you in and the penny drops for the others realising they've chosen the wrong path.

Do you walk in with dignity? Or do you turn to the others and say 'UNLUCKY SUCKERS!!!!' and then joyously run into heaven? :)

Neither, I'd probably be too dense to realize I'm dead and still try to tell them about God and His love. Then when God comes by to tell me its time to go home, I'd probably be like a kid and ask for a few more hours.

If I'm anything like I am now, I'll be too busy looking at Jesus to care what label they have. For all I know, He met them just before they died, and they got to know Him too.

I would hope no one on here would ever say "unlucky suckers". I HATE the thought of anyone in Hell. But we have the choice of either doing what God tells us or not doing it. I wish everyone would end up in Heaven but God Himself says in Matt. 7:14 "The gate is narrow and the way is hard that leads to life(Heaven) and those who find it are few."
And
Matthew 7:21 says "Not everyone who says to Me Lord Lord will enter the kingdom of Heaven but the one who does the will of my Father who is in Heaven."

So, God gives us free will. We either accept it or not. I hope you will eventually accept it!!!!!!

It is never good to see another suffer. I do not think we will all be at a door, in a line....If the Muslim, the Bhuddist and the Mormon place Christ crucified, His blood shed, as the only Son of God, for me (us) then we have no problem...actually, I think the Mormon may actually 'nearly' make it...one way to ask is, what Bible do they believe in? both the 3 religions you mention have re - written the ancient Hebrew Scriptures to align with what fits their false beliefs. I do not want to believe those I love will go to hell, but they will. This is not unfair. It is just. I do not want anyone to go to hell!! Yet, it is clearly told that many will and we do have a choice. If that choice is rejected we are told how it will be. I do find this tough, I know so many I love who reject the Lord....and i also know those who have died who have not acknowledged Him. It makes me all the more driven to be a 'Fisher of Men' as Christ told us to be. <><

first, I am glad you used the 'penny in the air' thing.
we have family in the UK, and are used to it, but it's not used much in the 'States.
so thanks for that. :)

Jesus told a story about a rich man and a poor, sick guy named Lazarus.
In it the rich guy is pretty selfish toward Lazarus, dies, and goes to hades; and Lazarus dies and goes to Abraham's bosom (paradise).
The rich man, suffering, asks that Lazarus be sent with a drop of water for him, but there's a great chasm fixed so there will be no crossing over.
I've heard pastors say it's a parable, and others say Jesus never said it was a parable.

But I think what matters is that there are different judgements for those who belong to the Lord and those who do not.
And that we are told to spread the Gospel of Jesus Christ so that (all have heard and) there might be as few as possible on the wrong side of judgement.
Because life is eternal. For all.

Neither, because that's not likely to be an accurate scenario of what being dead is like. But, if you're simply trying to make a point then still neither. We are not to rejoice in others suffering or their being lost to hell.
Also, we will then be freed of the sinful body and its wrong motivations, so at that point i believe smugness, pride, arrogance, and such tendencies will not be a part of us, and those are the reactions of a wrong heart and would not be something we would feel any longer.

I don't think someone who knows the Lord Jesus would ever mock someone for picking the wrong path. Jesus is the only way, and that way is a way of love, forgiveness and repentance.

Calling someone names like that, would require repentance, because it is a terrible thing to mock anyone. Because we are at heaven's door, would we be given the time to repent? Besides, who would be looking at others, when Jesus Christ is before us? We would give up all for him.

As for those who do not know Jesus, we can always pray it is not too late, and maybe once again share with them. I know God is just, but maybe he has us standing at the door (if there is such a metaphorical place) just so we can give them one last chance to confess Jesus Christ as Lord, and believe in their hearts God raised him from the dead.

As for you, Straightener, where do you stand with the living God?

We will not be the same once in Heaven as we are here on earth. We all have questions we say we'll ask God when we get there. But we won't because once there we will know all just as we are known.

These are some of my favorite lyrics, I get goosebumps every time I Sorry, I don't know who sings it and I might have a couple lines out of order:

Surrounded by Your Glory, what will my heart feel?
Will I dance with you Jesus, or in awe of you be still?
Will I stand in your presence or to my knees will I fall,
Will I sing Hallelujah will I be able to speak at all?
I can only imagine..

It is the triune God at the door, and you are looking for a God who consists of only Jesus.
