God breathes into man's nostrils and it is the BREATH OF LIFE, alas, a living soul.

Breath sure did a lot to make man go didn't it.

Spirit seems to be a bit more than just breath , just put in those no uncertain terms. ( By the way, I think my 'parables are not fables' thread enlightens too. 'Course, I'm biased. :D )


But , Yeah, Christ bros and sis, what about our Spirit, God says we were made in the image of Christ. That is not just a mirror image talked about is it? It's a image, but with images of a 'spirit' and a 'soul.'

Green, does that mean God, our Father, Our King, He has a spirit and soul like us ?

What does it tell you? (Hint: don't listen to you thinking, listen to Him spiriting thought to you :) )

So, hmm, God did what , in what form, when He moved over the depths of the deep before the universe was created?

God surveyed an empty, voidless planet Earth, and, He surveyed it in....

Spirit form. Right?

'And the spirit of God was moving over the face of the deep.' Genesis 1:2.

And God then said, 'Let there's be light....'

Doesn't breath (Spirit or 'ruach' ) sure do a lot of thinking and talking for being a nothingness ?

Is this a wrong comparison by me, that is, my comparing human spirit to God Spirit?

And, one last thing, and, I say , yes, Lord, praise you, Jesus for your Truth to us, amen! but, yes, scripture quotes we should 'worship Christ in Spirit and in Truth,' doesn't that make it pretty clear that our spirit is a lot more valuable than just.....

TO me, it says that our breath (our spirit) that God gives us for life existence of our years grows and grows and (spiritually, emotionally, mindfully, etc.) matures as we go from birth to different ages of belief and understanding of life before our death.

Our spirit is much more than just "breath". Translate the word ruach and pneuma "breath" in every verse those words are mentioned and see just how silly some verses sound.

Mat 5:3 Blessed are the poor in breath: for theirs is the kingdom of heaven.

Mat 12:43 When the unclean breath is gone out of a man, he walketh through dry places, seeking rest, and findeth none.

Luk 24:39 Behold my hands and my feet, that it is I myself: handle me, and see; for a breath hath not flesh and bones, as ye see me have.

Joh 4:24 God is a breath: and they that worship him must worship him in breath and in truth.

When we die and the lay us to rest, OUR SPIRIT, OUR BREATH OF LIFE, GOES TO BE WITH GOD, and, we , your who you are, your 'pneuma' , your who you are NOW and who you STILL WILL BECOME AS YOU CONTINUE Spirit)led serving the Lord in your life until death overtakes you .....


RETURN TO God, your maker. Hallelujah!

Can you say 'GREAT is the Lord .' He who holds our keys to death and life after our earthly death and is the lover of our soul and......our BREATH , and, back to Him will go our BREATH and, context in scripture says.....


We will be in it . Breath is LIFE !

Amen, well said, Kaly, our spirit is much more than 'breath,' it is LIFE :)

True, some things pass our understanding and God gives us peace to the things that most trouble our hearts. :)
