Not afraid of but aware of of the enemy by gathering the verses about him who wanted to become like the most high. Just imagine how close he must have been to the Father to even conceive such an impossible idea.

I know many young people delve into these matters all by themselves because the church often is actually afraid of him (satan) , thinking even mentioning his name will bring sudden destruction to their church.

So many young people are delving the depths of satan outside the bible unprotected and at last as prideful as satan himself and or just destroyed and depressed.

We as a parts of the body have to talk to all these youngsters boldly and truthfully.
I have kids myself. So I just gather distinct knowledge about harder questions. Really hoping to get everyone interessted in collecting the data on satan and put it here whenever you got the time. I know it will be eyeopening for many.

He went up and down in the stones of fire. Ezekiel 28 onward
A covering cherub ...Ezekiel 28:14-16.
Is satan a kingdom, realm and person at the same time? His ambassadors seems to be called devils.
Job gathers him with the council of the Sons of God. Job 1:6 onward + Job 2:1 onward.

He can morph. 2Cor. 11:14

to be continued...

Could you post the actual verses? Makes it easier to read.

Plus you should note that Satan status changes after he is thrown out of heaven per Revelation (chapter 12 I believe but always get numbers mixed up)

Satan tempts Jesus in the desert but Jesus defeats him by using Bible verses,

If you are going to do this study, could you include how God and His people consistently defeats Satan as well?

Thank you.
We always need to sharpen our spiritual weapons. Thats the whole point of this study. Gods people have always defeated satan. But only through his strenght. We have actually done nothing, right?

I provide chapters sometimes.
Chapter and verse other times.
The dividing in verses is a fairly recent device wich more often than not only give room for the
versemongers to divide and split and wreak havoc on the sole Word of God.

For it is written: Hear o Israel the LORD is One.

Yes. What he (satan) was and is now. His diffrent names,abilities and why he has knowledge that surpass every human being on this planet. Exept those who Abide in Christ.

We as christians are actually the one and only force (by the strenght of Jesus) that stands in the way. Or else there would be no flesh alive.:
[TABLE="width: 308"]
[TR]
[TD="class: v1Col"]22 And except those days should be shortened, there should no flesh be saved: but for the elect's sake those days shall be shortened.(Matt. 24:22)

The context of this quote is the last days and the power of Satan over this world. Thats why its a relevant passage. Not because it has a number.

Wich while I am here brings me to the number associated with satan or satans beast..nr 666.

Be not afraid little children John says. Not of anything. This study is a reminder of that. If you fear..praise God you tremble but praise Him again everytime you little by little overcome every fear. Cry out to Jesus everytime you fear. Its a walk, not magic. Little by little. But He is alemways there in each individuals stage.[/TD]

It's not all the verses but it's a start we could discuss and see what they teach us in this spiritual war....

Bible Verses About Satan

1 Peter 5:8 - Be sober, be vigilant; because your adversary the devil, as a roaring lion, walketh about, seeking whom he may devour:

1 John 3:8 - He that committeth sin is of the devil; for the devil sinneth from the beginning. For this purpose the Son of God was manifested, that he might destroy the works of the devil.

2 Corinthians 11:14 - And no marvel; for Satan himself is transformed into an angel of light.

John 8:44 - Ye are of [your] father the devil, and the lusts of your father ye will do. He was a murderer from the beginning, and abode not in the truth, because there is no truth in him. When he speaketh a lie, he speaketh of his own: for he is a liar, and the father of it.

2 Corinthians 11:3 - But I fear, lest by any means, as the serpent beguiled Eve through his subtilty, so your minds should be corrupted from the simplicity that is in Christ.

Revelation 12:9 - And the great dragon was cast out, that old serpent, called the Devil, and Satan, which deceiveth the whole world: he was cast out into the earth, and his angels were cast out with him.

John 10:10 - The thief cometh not, but for to steal, and to kill, and to destroy: I am come that they might have life, and that they might have [it] more abundantly.

Romans 16:20 - And the God of peace shall bruise Satan under your feet shortly. The grace of our Lord Jesus Christ [be] with you. Amen.

James 4:7 - Submit yourselves therefore to God. Resist the devil, and he will flee from you.

Ephesians 4:27 - Neither give place to the devil.

2 Corinthians 4:4 - In whom the god of this world hath blinded the minds of them which believe not, lest the light of the glorious gospel of Christ, who is the image of God, should shine unto them.

Revelation 12:9-12 - And the great dragon was cast out, that old serpent, called the Devil, and Satan, which deceiveth the whole world: he was cast out into the earth, and his angels were cast out with him.

Ephesians 6:12 - For we wrestle not against flesh and blood, but against principalities, against powers, against the rulers of the darkness of this world, against spiritual wickedness in high [places].

Ephesians 6:11 - Put on the whole armour of God, that ye may be able to stand against the wiles of the devil.

Matthew 16:23 - But he turned, and said unto Peter, Get thee behind me, Satan: thou art an offence unto me: for thou savourest not the things that be of God, but those that be of men.

1 John 4:4
[SUP]4 [/SUP]You are from God, little children, and have overcome them; because greater is He who is in you than he who is in the world.

IF we walk with Jesus Christ as our Savior, He is Greater than anything in the World! Even Greater than Satan! Therefore we have nothing to fear from Satan. If fact Satan needs to get permission from God before he can even touch us.

1 John 3:8 - He that committeth sin is of the devil; for the devil sinneth from the beginning. For this purpose the Son of God was manifested, that he might destroy the works of the devil.

And every man has sinned. Meaning we was of the devil before we were saved. Now we are a new creation in Christ.

The very core of our souls were twisted in the garden of Eden. The scientists say we only use 3% of our DNA. They call the rest 97 junkdna. Like a desert of unused "opportunities".
They dearly want to lock up this pandoras box at the backdoor so to speak.
Jesus is the only allowed door in. He is called Life. He is likened with a tree (the Branch). A tree of life.

The other tree. The tree of good and evil. Is it still here among us.

The tree of life is guarded by two Cherubs.
Satan was a cherub.

The Covering Cherub.

Our iphones are truly a fruit of this tree. And we still can hardly handle it.

Baal is called the rider of the clouds in Ugaritic litterature. The Canaanites were deep into satanism it seems. As Jezebel..the Phoenixian/Canaanite Queen. Its all history repeating. The world is worshipping all the baalim and satan each and every second.

Yes! Be Vigilant in Jesus.

Yes!
Im running around like a newborn sheep in Gods meadows.
At last I can get some answers to what actually happened.

As for me; Every page and word of the Bible reminds me of Jesus and how he saved me. And every page and knowledge..be it the miljy parts or the mysteries pf God or the meat..it all is like new strokes making the canvas even clearer. Of course God has made some things hard on purpose. To make us stop and dig.

Every iota of the word makes the lens sharper. We are all on diffrent pages in the word just like the people of the world are on diffrent pages in their fantasyworlds.
Thats whats so great with this amazing site.

While working on threads where we feel called or comfortable we visit threads and people
we never knew. Insights we never knew.

God bless you Woman

We as humans have an advantage to understand how great God is,which the Bible testifies that He is an omnipresent Spirit,which the heaven and the heaven of heavens cannot contain Him,and where shall you go to escape Him,for if you make your bed in hell He is there,and if you ascend in to heaven He is there.There is nowhere to run from God,who sees all.

Creation testifies that there is a God,and of His attributes,who created all things,who is powerful,intelligent,wise,and loving,which they know that this higher power has to be one big God to be able to create all that He created.Nobody has an excuse for not believing this,but some people deny it.

We as humans have an advantage to understand who God is,for creation testifies there is a God,so people are without excuse,and the written word testifies of God,and His greatness.

Knowing all that why would anybody dare to go against God,for they should not even think about it.

Why did Lucifer rebel when God is an omnipresent Spirit,for how could Lucifer possible think he could be as great as God,and get away with rebelling against God.

I do not believe the angels had the advantage to understand how great God is,and because of this lack of knowing led to some of them rebelling.

God will sit on the throne in the glorified body of the man Christ Jesus,for it is the throne of both God and the Lamb.

God appeared to mankind in the flesh,but we do not view that is all there is to God,for we know that is only a visible manifestation of Him,and He is an omnipresent Spirit,and powerful.

For God to deal with the angels,He would of had to have some form of bodily manifestation to present to them,like the invisible God will have a bodily manifestation present to the saints for eternity.

Seeing God had a bodily manifestation presented to the angels,which might of been an angelic form,maybe Lucifer thought is that all there is to God,and got arrogant having the lack to understand God is an omnipresent Spirit.

If we had an account first hand to be with God,as the angels,we would know for sure He does exist without a doubt,and if we knew He was an omnipresent Spirit,that can assemble and break down the physical particles,why would we consider going against Him,for it would seem like we would never think about going against God.

The angels must of not had this knowledge when they rebelled,and only knew God as He sat on the throne,not having the knowledge to know God is an omnipresent Spirit,that is powerful like the dickens.

It has been my experience that staying close to the Shepherd is the way to be vigilant against the wiles of the enemy. Jesus has already defeated the devil and won the victory for us. Having the mind of Christ in matters such as our enemy is our best defense. Learning the Bible through the teaching and comfort of the Spirit is part of how it's done.

If we know the truth the enemy can't have an advantage over us. he can only defeat us when we are ignorant of the truth of our standing in Christ. As it's already been stated here on this thread., Jesus being our example used the Scriptures each and every time as an answer to the enemies accusations.

So imo knowing the enemy has not been much help to me. But knowing Jesus and how He has defeated the devil is what we do having done all to stand., so learning about Jesus and what He did is time well spent for more than one answer to how to walk as believers.

Knowing Jesus came to give us life and that more abundantly is the way to know that killing, stealing and destroying do not come from Jesus but from the enemy. The enemy seeks to distort who God is by bringing us to our own reasoning about the goodness of God by having us look some place different than Jesus.

Again bringing us back to Christ Jesus who is the perfect representation of God. Awesome truth that sets us free.

Hi Sheepman,

If you want to know who Satan is,

He is ISIS, he is Hitler, He is Mao, he is Stalin, he is the Roman Empire/RCC, he is Babylon,

He is war, he is murder, he is theft and lying, he is violence, he is abuse and brutality, and a bully,

He is a deceiver, confusion, darkness and spiritual blindness,

He is pain, suffering, guilt, shame, torment.

===========

Satan is a spirit.

100%.............0%

God is love....Satan is no love

God is peace......Satan is No peace

God is reason.....Satan is no reason

God is order.........Satan is chaos

God is truth..... Satan is no truth

God is spirit........ Satan is animal/material world/mind after the flesh

etc.

Right now we live in a world that is between these two extremes, blind to the spirit realm.

But when our spirit breaks free from the body, then we shall see the spirits.

=================

Have you noticed the accusations flying around the political arena ?

They did this, or they said that, or that's false facts,

Confused? Not sure who is telling the truth? Satan is hard at work!

But this is not new, just think how Hitler lied, or the lies of ISIS.

==============

How about the denominations and cults, which teaching is right, can't tell? This is confusion and darkness, our enemy.

Or just read one of the prophecy threads, ha ha, how can we be so far apart?

===============

Well, I don't want to make this too long, so I'll just stop here.

I know exactly what you mean. Like if you just absorb the Victory of Jesus you will be ready whatever comes around. And that must too feel like a defeat to satan. That he is relegated to be a mere topic. And thats the whole deal with this.

We are supposed to watch always. Not to sleep. And satans is roaring like a lion and deceiving many with subtility.

All the grains we can get out of the bible can be planted by christians by being a light in the world and explain things to people not already saved. Making Them aware. Sometimes shake em up from their sleep.

I was shaken awake when I realized the enemy was a reality.

Good news in the Bible and the teaching and preaching of who we are and what we have IN Christ Jesus is major to the defeat of the enemy in our life. Yes, satan is a real person and his demons are all around doing his will but we have Christ and His provisions. An ever present help in time of need. (!) He is our Good Shepherd who protects the life of the sheep. He is our only protection.

I especially love reading Psalm 23 and Psalm 91

Psalm 91
He who [SUP][a][/SUP]dwells in the shelter of the Most High
Will remain secure and rest in the shadow of the Almighty [whose power no enemy can withstand].
[SUP]2 [/SUP]
I will say of the Lord, “He is my refuge and my fortress,
My God, in whom I trust [with great confidence, and on whom I rely]!”
[SUP]3 [/SUP]
For He will save you from the trap of the fowler,
And from the deadly pestilence.
[SUP]4 [/SUP]
He will cover you and completely protect you with His pinions,
And under His wings you will find refuge;
His faithfulness is a shield and a wall.

[SUP]5 [/SUP]
You will not be afraid of the terror of night,
Nor of the arrow that flies by day,
[SUP]6 [/SUP]
Nor of the pestilence that stalks in darkness,
Nor of the destruction (sudden death) that lays waste at noon.
[SUP]7 [/SUP]
A thousand may fall at your side
And ten thousand at your right hand,
But danger will not come near you.
[SUP]8 [/SUP]
You will only [be a spectator as you] look on with your eyes
And witness the [divine] repayment of the wicked [as you watch safely from the shelter of the Most High].
[SUP]9 [/SUP]
Because you have made the Lord, [who is] my refuge,
Even the Most High, your dwelling place,
[SUP]10 [/SUP]
No evil will befall you,
Nor will any plague come near your tent.

[SUP]11 [/SUP]
For He will command His angels in regard to you,
To protect and defend and guard you in all your ways [of obedience and service].
[SUP]12 [/SUP]
They will lift you up in their hands,
So that you do not [even] strike your foot against a stone.
[SUP]13 [/SUP]
You will tread upon the lion and cobra;
The young lion and the serpent you will trample underfoot.

[SUP]14 [/SUP]
“Because he set his love on Me, therefore I will save him;
I will set him [securely] on high, because he knows My name [he confidently trusts and relies on Me, knowing I will never abandon him, no, never].
[SUP]15 [/SUP]
“He will call upon Me, and I will answer him;
I will be with him in trouble;
I will rescue him and honor him.
[SUP]16 [/SUP]
“With a long life I will satisfy him
And I will let him see My salvation.”

Psalm 23

The Lord is my Shepherd [to feed, to guide and to shield me],
I shall not want.
[SUP]2 [/SUP]
He lets me lie down in green pastures;
He leads me beside the still and quiet waters.
[SUP]3 [/SUP]
He refreshes and restores my soul (life);
He leads me in the paths of righteousness
for His name’s sake.

[SUP]4 [/SUP]
Even though I walk through the [sunless] [SUP][a][/SUP]valley of the shadow of death,
I fear no evil, for You are with me;
Your rod [to protect] and Your staff [to guide], they comfort and console me.
[SUP]5 [/SUP]
You prepare a table before me in the presence of my enemies.
You have anointed and refreshed my head with [SUP][b][/SUP]oil;
My cup overflows.
[SUP]6 [/SUP]
Surely goodness and mercy and unfailing love shall follow me all the days of my life,
And I shall dwell forever [throughout all my days] in the house and in the presence of the Lord.

All you need to know about Satan is that all he has to work with is the lie....and that his lies are most often very subtle in nature. Our defense against him is the truth. That's why truth, all truth, is important. No matter how insignificant it may seem. It is the lies that bind us, and it is the truth that sets us free.

Those who are indwelled by the Holy Spirit shall be guarded against the deception of satan.. Those who are not indwelled by the Holy Spirit shall be given over to the deceptions of satan to be used for satans purpose.. Indeed God will send them strong delusions so that their deceiving shall be certain.. The only way for Humans to avoid being caught in the great deception is to be in the right relationship with God. That is to believe Jesus 100% and to trust in the Atonement Jesus secured for our salvation 100% .... God shall not abandon His adopted Children.. Never ,, Ever.. Embrace His truth and have joy in the Love of His truth.. Be humble not rebellious.. contrite not proud.. Accept His will and all things will be well for you..

2 Thessalonians 2: KJV

1 Now we beseech you, brethren, by the coming of our Lord Jesus Christ, and by our gathering together unto him,

2 That ye be not soon shaken in mind, or be troubled, neither by spirit, nor by word, nor by letter as from us, as that the day of Christ is at hand.
3 Let no man deceive you by any means: for that day shall not come, except there come a falling away first, and that man of sin be revealed, the son of perdition;
4 Who opposeth and exalteth himself above all that is called God, or that is worshipped; so that he as God sitteth in the temple of God, shewing himself that he is God.
5 Remember ye not, that, when I was yet with you, I told you these things?
6 And now ye know what withholdeth that he might be revealed in his time.
7 For the mystery of iniquity doth already work: only he who now letteth will let, until he be taken out of the way.
8 And then shall that Wicked be revealed, whom the Lord shall consume with the spirit of his mouth, and shall destroy with the brightness of his coming:
9 Even him, whose coming is after the working of Satan with all power and signs and lying wonders,
10 And with all deceivableness of unrighteousness in them that perish; because they received not the love of the truth, that they might be saved.
11 And for this cause God shall send them strong delusion, that they should believe a lie:
12 That they all might be damned who believed not the truth, but had pleasure in unrighteousness.
13 ¶But we are bound to give thanks alway to God for you, brethren beloved of the Lord, because God hath from the beginning chosen you to salvation through sanctification of the Spirit and belief of the truth:
14 Whereunto he called you by our gospel, to the obtaining of the glory of our Lord Jesus Christ.

You will tread upon the lion and cobra;
The young lion and the serpent you will trample underfoot.

[SUP]14 [/SUP]
“Because he set his love on Me, therefore I will save him;
I will set him [securely] on high, because he knows My name [he confidently trusts and relies on Me, knowing I will never abandon him, no, never].
[SUP]15 [/SUP]
“He will call upon Me, and I will answer him;
I will be with him in trouble;

He lets me lie down in green pastures;
He leads me beside the still and quiet waters.
[SUP]3 [/SUP]
He refreshes and restores my soul (life);
He leads me in the paths of righteousness
for His name’s sake.

[SUP]4 [/SUP]
Even though I walk through the [sunless] [SUP][a][/SUP]valley of the shadow of death,
I fear no evil, for You are with me;
Your rod [to protect] and Your staff [to guide], they comfort and console me.
[SUP]5 [/SUP]
You prepare a table before me in the presence of my enemies.
You have anointed and refreshed my head with [SUP][b][/SUP]oil;
My cup overflows.
[SUP]6 [/SUP]
Surely goodness and mercy and unfailing love shall follow me all the days of my life,
And I shall dwell forever [throughout all my days] in the house and in the presence of the Lord.

Psalm 91 have sort of been my shroud since Januari this year when I finally stopped trying to make it all by myself and fell down on my knees completely open to receive his mercy. It still feels like yesterday and im just eating the word. Trying to see were we actually are. What this world is made of and foremost to be open to His mercy and gifts everyday and let Jesus build up a dicernment in love for the brothers and sisters. Love. The key word. Divine Love. Not mens love. But by the Holy Spirit.

Thanks for the psalms. Thats the point. Shrouded in his words we can point out in due time the enemy for the seekers. So that they dont end up in profane psychology (psyke means soul in greek..so psychologist are soulshepherds..but are they leading the souls to Jesus?) I have been in churches that send away their young to psychologists. My best friend since childhood is now on heavy medication after loosing his mind by the pressure when working as a prisonwarden with heavy criminals.

Thats just one of my personal interests in who satan is..his subtilities.
I cant save my friend. Jesus can. I might point out things..sow seeds of both cold facts and seeds of eternal hope and joy. This land is completely taken over by seducing spirits and profanity. I mean..even the christian newspapers and other so called christian institution who still is calling themselves biblebelieving..they just work hand in glove with the secular institutions.

There is no real trust in Jesus.

Its a theather.

God bless :)

The enemy only has as much authority over us as we give him. If we give him no authority or recognition, he has no authority or power in us. It's a matter of what we spend our time focusing on. If we're focused on our Savior and His Kingdom, there is no time or use looking at the enemy. Too many times I've seen that the people who are under attack from the enemy are the same ones that spend time acknowledging him and his tactics.
