Ah.. now I have seen it! Ah.. yeah guess it isn't laminin that determines the skin colour!
Anyhoo -- Melanin: from

Melanin: A skin pigment (substance that gives the skin its color). Dark-skinned people have more melanin than light- skinned people. Melanin also acts as a sunscreen and protects the skin from ultraviolet light.
Melanin is produced by cells called melanocytes. It provides some protection again skin damage from the sun, and the melanocytes increase their production of melanin in response to sun exposure.
Freckles, which occur in people of all races, are small, concentrated areas of increased melanin production.
Ya so aside from the extraordinary functioning of the lanolin cells..
Melanin is also very interesting..
Because if you start with Genesis and give people mid-brown type skin colour.. all the variations of skin colour can be accounted for. Eg.. the mid-brown is enough of a medium colour to have many shades of skin colour across the spectrum.
This also fits with God judging people at the tower of babel.. and spreading them out.. people go to warmer and colder places.. exposure to sun or lack of exposure to sun over 1000s of years.. creates imbalances in the melanin levels in the skin..
and so we see what look like different colours which are really just the same colour with different amounts of melanin in the skin.
Anyway
