So longs this going to take... 5 years ? a decade maybe ?
do you mean how long will it take to kill or hurt you (or others)?

who can say?

regardless, here's what will happen in the long run if one doesn't REPENT (have a change of mind) and receive the gift of forgiveness of sins, and eternal life through Jesus Christ:

Revelation 21:8
But the cowardly, the unbelieving, the vile, the murderers, the sexually immoral, those who practice magic arts, the idolaters and all liars--their place will be in the fiery lake of burning sulfur. This is the second death."

here's what some guys who heard about the LAW and hell and Judgment, but also heard the Good News about Jesus did with their stuff:

Acts 19:19
A number who had practiced sorcery brought their scrolls together and burned them publicly. When they calculated the value of the scrolls, the total came to fifty thousand drachmas. (which was prolly worth "an arm and a leg" back then)

~

God is gracious to accept repentence, but it has to be real (and it's not just saying you are sorry...He kinda wants clear evidence you are really REALLY sorry:)...that part is kind painful...lots of fear and crying and stuff)...but the good news about Jesus is that He got whipped, punched, speared, spit upon, and nailed to a Cross where He died an agonzing death IN YOUR PLACE (so you don't have to face that kind of thing...it'll be worse because you won't rise from it like He did):

Luke 18
The Pharisee and the Tax Collector
9He also told this parable to some who trusted in themselves that they were righteous, and treated others with contempt: 10“Two men went up into the temple to pray, one a Pharisee and the other a tax collector. 11The Pharisee, standing by himself, prayeda thus: ‘God, I thank you that I am not like other men, extortioners, unjust, adulterers, or even like this tax collector. 12I fast twice a week; I give tithes of all that I get.’ 13But the tax collector, standing far off, would not even lift up his eyes to heaven, but beat his breast, saying, ‘God, be merciful to me, a sinner!’ 14I tell you, this man went down to his house justified, rather than the other. For everyone who exalts himself will be humbled, but the one who humbles himself will be exalted.”
