Although my answer was-technically-correct, I meant to write Rehoboam was king. Jeroboam was made king over the other 10 tribes.

At what age did God recruit The old test. priests for service ?
"From 25 to 50 years."
Interesting. I did not know that! Thanks!
When I asked the question, I thought it was age 30 when priests started,
I had to go look-up when the age 25 was mentioned: seems it lists both ages.
It gets confusing when everyone has [different Jobs] to do, for the [different area's].
-

From thirty years old and upward even until fifty years old

Numbers 4:3 , 35 the sons of Kohath
Numbers 4:23, 39 the sons of Gershon
Numbers 4:30, 43 the sons of Merari

Numbers 4:47 numbered of the Levites

46All those that were numbered of the Levites, whom Moses and Aaron and
the chief of Israel numbered, after their families, and after the house of their fathers,
47From thirty years old and upward even unto fifty years old, every one that came to do the
service of the ministry, and the service of the burden in the tabernacle of the congregation,

I Chronicles 23:3 (NKJV)
Now the Levites were numbered from the age of thirty years and above;
and the number of individual males was thirty-eight thousand.

-
twenty and five years old and upward
This is it that belongeth unto the Levites:

Numbers 8:24 (NKJV)
“This is what pertains to the Levites: From twenty-five years old and above
one may enter to perform service in the work of the tabernacle of meeting;

24This is it that belongeth unto the Levites: from twenty and five years old and upward
they shall go in to wait upon the service of the tabernacle of the congregation:
to…: Heb. to war the warfare of, etc.

25And from the age of fifty years they shall cease waiting upon the service thereof,
and shall serve no more:cease…: Heb. return from the warfare of the service

26But shall minister with their brethren in the tabernacle of the congregation, to keep the
charge, and shall do no service. Thus shalt thou do unto the Levites touching their charge.

How many children did King David have?
20 to 21

6 kiddos while in Hebron
4 to 5 kiddos from Bathsheba (not sure if counting the child that died)
10 kiddos from concubines

(I confess, I looked it up! :eek:)

[h=1]1 Chronicles 3 New King James Version (NKJV)[/h][h=3]The Family of David[/h]3 Now these were the sons of David who were born to him in Hebron: The firstborn was Amnon, by Ahinoam the Jezreelitess; the second, Daniel,[a] by Abigail the Carmelitess;
2 the third, Absalom the son of Maacah, the daughter of Talmai, king of Geshur; the fourth, Adonijah the son of Haggith;
3 the fifth, Shephatiah, by Abital; the sixth, Ithream, by his wife Eglah.

4 These six were born to him in Hebron. There he reigned seven years and six months, and in Jerusalem he reigned thirty-three years.
5 And these were born to him in Jerusalem: Shimea, Shobab, Nathan, and Solomon—four by Bathshua the daughter of Ammiel.
6 Also therewere Ibhar, Elishama, Eliphelet,
7 Nogah, Nepheg, Japhia,
8 Elishama, Eliada, and Eliphelet—nine in all.
9 These were all the sons of David, besides the sons of the concubines, and Tamar their sister.

After studying this, I think you were correct about 30. Jesus was 30 when He began His ministry.
