Correct! :)

Great job, EarnestQ!

I bet there's some deep spiritual lesson in this story somewhere. Got any thoughts about it?
God using the jawbone of an ass proves He can use me too. :D

Same here, I'm strongly against them (choosing words carefully and few cos I get on a soapbox..) and their operations.

Amen Jesus, I stand in agreement with this prayer, for You Jesus, have given us authority over the power of the enemy, (Luke 10:19) in Jesus Name, Amen.
Dear all, I just wanna clarify something regarding the above ^.^ I Do Not advocate going and trampling on snakes and scorpions, literally. (Heck :() I believe this verse to be more in the terms of a spiritual context. As in overcoming evil with good type of thing. And Greater is He that is living in us than he who is in the world.
Oh dear, well best to clarify than to just leave it. I don't want people thinking I'm into that kind of stuff!!
While I agree God can protect anyone, anyway He chooses, I also don't believe in 'Testing' God Most High or going about like, nothing gonna harm me type of thing. Abiding under His shadow rather than walking about all arrogant like. Yet I think we should stand firm and not be complacent about evil and unclean spirits.
I'm still growing in Christ, and The Word so I hope you'd grant me some grace, also appreciate godly correction. Thankyou.
Anyways, there you go. God Bless.

Why did Jesus curse a fig tree?
I remember him being hungry and him seeing a fig tree thought he would get something from it but was disappointed when he saw it barren. I think because it didn't fulfil it's purpose for being created and as the bible said... any branch that doesn't bring forth fruit he shall cut them from him and they shall be cast away and bla bla..... too tired to type.. especially when i don't know the verse properly lol

Correct! :)

Jesus was hungry and the fig tree had leaves already which meant it should have figs but, there were no figs. So, Jesus cursed it.

Good job, becc!:)

Why did Jesus curse a fig tree?
Was Jesus using the fig tree as a parable , that it should have had some fruit ?
-

Fig tree fruit

Fruiting fig trees have a long juvenile period compared to other fruit trees.
Fig trees produce two crops every year, but only one of them may be edible.

In some tropical locations, fig trees may bear some fruit throughout the year,
with increased production in early summer and midwinter

The first crop, called the breba crop, occurs relatively early in the year on
the previous year's growth. These fruits are frequently small, acidic and
inferior in texture, but may be useful for preservation. The second crop occurs
later in the year on the current year's growth and these figs should be edible.

Was it a First crop, or a second crop ?

John 1:11 (KJV)
He came unto his own, and his own received him not.
