While Jesus was dying on the cross, which disciple did He leave in charge of His mother, Mary?
Correct! :)

I've often wondered, why John. Jesus had other siblings yet, He placed His mother in John's care.

I wonder if Mary was shamed throughout her life as a woman that had s-x before marriage, and Jesus was shamed as that child conceived out of wedlock. If so, then only John could really love and care for Mary the way that Jesus would want her cared for.

More like "non existent" lol!
I was about to say that but then I thought, we don't know for certain whether ot existed in that time or not, we weren't present. And even if they didn't have our definition of "truck", they must have some kind of mechanism like that.

Mary didn't do that whatever and jesus wasn't born out of wedlock.
Isaiah 7:14 Therefore the Lord himself will give you a sign. Behold, the virgin shall conceive and bear a son, and shall call his name Immanuel. Emphasis on virgin.
Same in matthew. Matthew 1:23 “Behold, the virgin shall conceive and bear a son, and they shall call his name Immanuel" (which means, God with us).
Matthew 1: 19-21.

LOL! You are correct, becc! Mary did NOT do that. But, the people in the town of Nazareth, did not know that Mary was a virgin and Jesus was the Messiah.

Mary had been with Elizabeth for 3 months, so Jesus would have been born probably 6 months after Joseph and Mary actually got married - which means that people of the town would think that Mary and Joseph had s-x before marriage which was grounds for stoning the woman to death.

There was someone here a while back who argued that Jesus rode horses to get around  I believe Jesus and His followers walked everywhere :) Except for that one time, when Jesus rode a donkey/foal... and that was for a specific purpose :) Bible trivia question: what was that purpose?

Joseph is called Mary's husband at the time she informed him of her conception via the Holy Spirit of God :) So while they had not yet finalized the arrangement nor consummated their relationship, they were as good as married according to their cultural norms and practices.

Oh, yes, and excluding, too, of course, the times they spent in their fishing boat :D
