I commented on a thread that had being going for some time last night.
This morning (my time) I went looking for this thread but it appears to have vanished!
I looked in my profile to try to find my last posts to this thread - and they have also vanished!

My questions are this:
1. Has it really vanished or is their an alternative explanation?
2. If the moderators pulled the thread what criteria are employed in making the decision?
3. If the thread was really a problem would locking the thread not be an alternative option?

This is the first time I have encountered this issue - so just looking to understand what may have happened.

Well, since I cannot find any reference to it now I cannot remember the exact title.
I do know it was to do with the Trinity.

In BDF there is currently no thread active in the last several days with the word Trinity in its title.

Mods may have pulled it. Why they may have done so is up to them. They do lock threads at times, but I'm occasion they will remove one if they feel it's called for.
Many subjects in the BDF are repetitive, with everyone believi mg they need their own thread on the subject. Combine that with the divisive and critical attitudes typical in that forum, the subjects become volatile. Perhaps this is another case of that. We had something similar happen recently where a subject got so out of control the mods refused to topic to be discussed further, though I'm sure that's temporary.

you can click on your own profile, and see recent posts you've made.

click your name at the top of any page of the forum, and you should be brought to your profile page, where your friends recent activity is shown in a tab. the tab next to that is "my activity" and you should be able to scroll down to see the post you made in the thread last night; click "see more" and it will take you to that thread :)

Yes, it is still there, but I was not sure if you were sure about the thread in question still being around or if you had simply forgotten what it was called :D Hmmm, yes, it seems to have been deleted and in that case our post count goes down, too :p Did you do a search of "Trinity" to see the other threads available on the subject?

I did indeed do a search - plenty of threads dealing with the Trinity over time of course - just could not find the one that was active yesterday!

I am good.

The motivation for the thread was more to find out how the forum operates rather than stressing about thread in question.
I did not have a lot of skin in the game (so to speak).

Curious to know what happened though...

I sure hope you find it & post what happened with it. I'm a little interested in what happened to it, who was leading in the "arguments", etc.

Would be interesting to see if there's a series of similar thread subject shutdowns.:)

Last week I was responding to a thread, but when I hit send, the thread had disappeared. They do that sometimes. I think I've seen it happen about five times.

I do remember seeing a thread about Trinity, in the last day, but never bothered entering it. At least I can vouch it really was a thread.
