I mean, if someone cannot agree that there are examples of sin in scripture that are in no way prescriptive for the believer's conduct, I do question the validity of their exegesis.

I'll still give it a fair shot, but wow.
Then let me offer you the same advice that
I try to follow...

Be not wise in thine own eyes: fear the LORD, and depart from evil.

there is no such thing as an expert of what is written in the bible but to answer your question the answer is simple, one must listen to the holy spirits voice
What does it sound like?

Still no Scriptures to support your view. Just your opinion, bent to your crooked will.
Matthew 19:4-6---Jesus takes them back to the beginning to illustrate why no divorce. God made them make and female , made them1 flesh , dont separate.
Titus2:6--the only way you can be qualified as an elder or in leadership is of you are the husband of one wife.

In the law they werent allowed to multiply wives or horses. The wives, "lest they tirn their hearts awayDeuteronomy 17:17

In Malachi 2, God pronounces judgment on the children of Israel for, "forsaking the wife (singular ) of their youth.

When Paul and Peter teach on marriage and roles in the Epistles, they always talk about her in the singular.

Read your Bible closer and like a child . You and tthose around you will be better for it in speach and practice.

This from the person who disagrees with the fact that the Bible is full of accounts of men sinning, but such accounts do not mean that God wants us to sin. Why would anyone listen to you after you disagree with that? You disagree simply to be disagreeable, and pretend to be wise in your own eyes while eschewing what Scripture actually says in favor of your own perversions.

it is as a still small whisper to your heart or a small voice in the wind to hear his voice you must be still and your mind and heart must be as still waters. his voice (sounds) different to different people but the outcome of his voice is always the same he reveals the deep and hidden secrets of the word of God's heart and kingdom he encourages us he teaches us he uses the word of God to show us the very heart of God himself he shows God's traits his nature his ways of seeing ways of thinking ways of being he speaks to those of a childs heart one that open and willing one that deeply loves and adores father and he gives strength with his voice alone when we are beaten and broken he comforts us with his voice alone when we are alone and in despair he gives us warmth in our hearts when our hearts are cold.

His voice is not just in the word it's everywhere and in every day things we only have to know how to listen

Jesus said my sheep will know my voice. Are you telling me that the voice of Jesus is different sounding to each one of His sheep?
And how would you know if this is true or not?

Well if you don't like it then you can always go tell God. That is usually what I do when I don't like it.

Where is that verse...Thou shalt not marry but 1 wife? Can you find that for me?

So, the man doesn't commit adultery?

Interesting how Jesus said that if a man lusts after a woman, he already committed adultery.

Ah but a man with multiple partners is ok. But if a woman has multiple partners, she's a whore. Right. Ok.
Hebrews13. marriage is honorable among all , and the bed undefiled, but fornicators and adulterers God will judge.

I dont think it matters who is the whore. Be sexual immoral and you have a personal problem with God! I personally have seen this scripture fulfilled in both genders over the years.

Yes he did say his sheep know his voice but never said his voice would be the same for everyone did he? And I know this is true because I know his voice very well he speaks to me in far more ways than one.

I don't recall Him saying it would be different for everyone either. Did He say that to you?

No, you are here now disagreeing with God's revealed written Word and telling all of us it means something it does not explicitly say. You have also disagreed with a very easy to grasp basic truth of Scripture: description does not equal prescription. Why do you misrepresent yourself? Please don't bother answering my rather rhetorical question. Your answers are untrustworthy to the extreme.

I agree. Either gender can miss the mark.

Both posts that I have made declare that. You can go back to Genesis and read all the way to Revelation. You will find scripture after scripture with instruction on how to treat and live with your"wife."
Not to mention the confusion it causes the children amd those around . The Bible say not to give the appearance of evil. Everything about polygamy appears twisted and perverse.

I have multiple times asked for the corresponding verse that prescribes
multiple wives for all men. Don't you think you should give that verse
before you go around asking others to do what you refuse to???

some of his messages are not so blunt some are unspoken some messages you only hear by by developing a very deep and personal bond with him. As for if he said this to me you could say that but it wasn't what you might be thinking it was a learning process something he taught showed and revealed to me as I spent time with him
