I was just wondering if you could spot one before you witness them devouring a sheep?

What Bible verses would help?

Matthew 7
[h=3][/h][SUP]15 [/SUP]“Beware of false prophets, who come to you in sheep’s clothing, but inwardly they are ravenous wolves. [SUP]16 [/SUP]You will know them by their fruits. Do men gather grapes from thorn bushes or figs from thistles? [SUP]17 [/SUP]Even so, every good tree bears good fruit, but a bad tree bears bad fruit. [SUP]18 [/SUP]A good tree cannot bear bad fruit, nor can a bad tree bear good fruit. [SUP]19 [/SUP]Every tree that does not bear good fruit is cut down and thrown into the fire. [SUP]20 [/SUP]Therefore by their fruits you will know them.

what are the thorns should we see?

What are the thistles?

What kind of bad fruit?

What kind of good fruit?

That means if you truly are a good fruit living IN CHRIST JESUS you bring forth the truth of that, attributes visible and evident for all to see for themselves.Bad fruit would be the opposite,Bringing forth bad attributes and works evident and visible for all to see that person is not in christ. The thistles are those avoid in the very first place, because they are going to yield no good fruit, they are just going to choke off any good fruit from even developing in the first place, they are no good from the start and clearly evident to see.No seed even begins to grow from these it chokes them. They are those to avoid who are clearly not in spirit with christ. That which they bring forth is not of Christ. So they only bring forth bad works which is their fruit.

Their deeds or behavior towards others will show what type of person that they are. It is impossible for someone that has an evil heart to do good, even though they might perform good acts but eventually the truth comes out of that person. When a person does something for their family for free, that means that they have done it out of love; but if they are expecting to receive something from their actions, then they has no love for their family; but when they does something for someone that hates them, that is showing a greater love for a person.

Luke 10 26 “What is written in the Law?” he replied. “How do you read it?”
27 He answered, “‘Love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your strength and with all your mind’; and, ‘Love your neighbor as yourself.’ ”
28 “You have answered correctly,” Jesus replied. “Do this and you will live.”
29 But he wanted to justify himself, so he asked Jesus, “And who is my neighbor?”
30 In reply Jesus said: “A man was going down from Jerusalem to Jericho, when he was attacked by robbers. They stripped him of his clothes, beat him and went away, leaving him half dead. 31 A priest happened to be going down the same road, and when he saw the man, he passed by on the other side. 32 So too, a Levite, when he came to the place and saw him, passed by on the other side. 33 But a Samaritan, as he traveled, came where the man was; and when he saw him, he took pity on him.34 He went to him and bandaged his wounds, pouring on oil and wine. Then he put the man on his own donkey, brought him to an inn and took care of him. 35 The next day he took out two denarii and gave them to the innkeeper. ‘Look after him,’ he said, ‘and when I return, I will reimburse you for any extra expense you may have.’
36 “Which of these three do you think was a neighbor to the man who fell into the hands of robbers?”
37 The expert in the law replied, “The one who had mercy on him.”
Jesus told him, “Go and do likewise.”

Matt 6:1 “Be careful not to practice your righteousness in front of others to be seen by them. If you do, you will have no reward from your Father in heaven.

2 “So when you give to the needy, do not announce it with trumpets, as the hypocrites do in the synagogues and on the streets, to be honored by others. Truly I tell you, they have received their reward in full. 3 But when you give to the needy, do not let your left hand know what your right hand is doing, 4 so that your giving may be in secret. Then your Father, who sees what is done in secret, will reward you.

Matt 5: 46 If you love those who love you, what reward will you get? Are not even the tax collectors doing that? 47 And if you greet only your own people, what are you doing more than others? Do not even pagans do that?

Looks to me like thorns belong to bad fruit and figs belong to good fruit. Bad fruit are works of flesh and good fruit are fruits of the Spirit: "The works of the flesh are evident: sexual immorality, impurity, sensuality, idolatry, sorcery, enmity, strife, jealousy, fits of anger, rivalries, dissensions, divisions, envy, drunkenness, orgies, and things like these. I warn you, as I warned you before, that those who do such things will not inherit the kingdom of God. But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness, self-control; against such things there is no law. And those who belong to Christ Jesus have crucified the flesh with its passions and desires. (Gal 5:19-24)" Fruits to me are more specifically defined to be intentions, rather than one time works. Since no good tree ever bears bad fruit and no bad tree ever bears good fruit, we see it would not make sense if fruits were referring to works, because good trees sometimes do bad works once in a while: "Surely there is not a righteous man on earth who does good and never sins. (Eccl 7:20)" "the righteous falls seven times and rises again. (Prov 24:16)" Fruits can also be thought of as the "product" of something, or the goal of something. Since goal is very much like intention, that is how I came up with this idea, that every good tree only ever makes good intentions, whereas every bad tree only ever makes bad intentions.

A wolf in sheep's clothing is one who professes to know God but in works they deny Him (Tit 1:16).
They may say they're saved by grace, but they really determine righteousness by deeds of the law instead. Their focus is always on the law and they cannot see anyone as righteous without deeds of the law.

We are warned not to associate with such people.

1Cor 5:11-13
I have written unto you not to keep company, if any man that is called a brother be a fornicator, or covetous, or an idolator, or a railer, or a drunkard, or an extortioner; with such an one no not to eat.For what have I to do to judge them also that are without? do not ye judge them that are within?

But them that are without God judgeth. Therefore put away from among yourselves that wicked person.

These wolves in sheep's clothing are spiritual fornicators. They are spiritual drunkards, drunk with the wine of fornication, (Rev 17:1,2). They fornicate with Hagar, who is symbolic of the OT doctrine of righteousness by works of the law (Gal 4:24).

We cannot mix grace with works of the law, Rom 11:6.
if by grace, then is it no more of works: otherwise grace is no more grace. But if it be of works, then it is no more grace: otherwise work is no more work.

Yet these wolves preach a lukewarm mix of grace with works of the law.

Like I mentioned elsewhere, one mark is that they have all the religious trappings but deny the bible as completely God's Word...theological liberals for example.

This,is the part that I want to get better, your saying grace then when we in are flesh are weak and do that of the flesh does that mean grace of Christ is absent from that person.None perfect, and I truly believe and then I have those constantly passing judgment on me.This is leading to self condemnation for me.

Therefore I want you to know that no one who is speaking by the Spirit of God says, "Jesus be cursed," and no one can say, "Jesus is Lord," except by the Holy Spirit.

1 Cor. 12:3

if his Grace is not sufficient to the day then the cross is a curse! Praise God, it is!

A general comparison of different types of fruit listed in the bible.

Good fruit:

Psalms 92:13 Those that be planted in the house ofthe LORD shall flourish in the courts of our God.
Psalms 92:14 They shall still bring forth fruit in old age; they shall be fat and flourishing;
Psalms 92:15 To shew that the LORD is upright: he is my rock, and there is no unrighteousness in him.

Bad fruit:

Proverbs 1:29 For that they hated knowledge, and did not choose the fear of the LORD:
Proverbs 1:30 They would none ofmy counsel: they despised all my reproof.
Proverbs 1:31 Therefore shall they eat of the fruit of their own way, and be filled with their own devices.

The fruit of our own ways:

Hosea 10:12 Sow to yourselves in righteousness, reap in mercy; break up your fallow ground: for it is time to seek the LORD, till he come and rain righteousness upon you.
Hosea 10:13 Ye have plowed wickedness, ye have reaped iniquity; ye have eaten the fruit of lies: because thou didst trust in thy way, in the multitude of thy mighty men.

Fruit and discernment:

Matthew 7:16 Ye shall know them by their fruits. Do men gather grapes of thorns, or figs of thistles?
Matthew 7:17 Even so every good tree bringeth forth good fruit; but a corrupt tree bringeth forth evil fruit.
Matthew 7:18 A good tree cannot bring forth evil fruit, neither can a corrupt tree bring forth good fruit.
Matthew 7:19 Every tree that bringeth not forth good fruit is hewn down, and cast into the fire.
Matthew 7:20 Wherefore by their fruits ye shall know them.

Whoever speaks on their own does so to gain personal glory, but he who seeks the glory of the one who sent him is a man of truth; there is nothing false about him.
John7:18

For myself, I believe if a person is seeking glory for God in what they say, write or do, there is no better example of true Christianity. They are someone I am always drawn to listen to

There is no condemnation in Christ.

There is now no condemnation to those in Christ Jesus. Romans 8:1

Who shall bring charges against God’s chosen ones [when] God [himself] is the one who justifies [his chosen ones]? Who is the one condemning [when] Christ is the one who died [to deliver us from condemnation]? Yet more than that, who was raised [from the dead], and is at the right hand of God pleading for our sakes. Romans 8:33-34

Condemnation is not of GOD. Condemnation is of the devil.

And I heard a loud voice in heaven saying, “Now the salvation and the power and the kingdom of our God and the authority of his Christ have come, because the accuser of our brothers has been thrown down, the one who accuses them before our God day and night. Revelation 12:10

Those who condemn you are either not of Christ, or ignorantly speaking words that aren't of Christ. Don't ever listen to anyone who condemns you, or tries to bring you under condemnation.

If you are under the law, why did Jesus die on the cross?

It is only when you know the law cannot condemn you,(you fail to perfectly obey it) that you can start to live more as God wants you to.

For sin shall not be your master, for you are not under law but under grace
Rom6:14

BTW
The law is within you, that is the new covenant, for you it is not written on tablets of stone, or with ink on paper. You conscience when you do things that are wrong proves it.
When you become a Christian the Holy Spirit enters your life and writes the good and Holy laws of God He wants you to keep on your heart and mind, meaning you want in your heart to obey. You have to looking to your Saviour(as we all do) when we fail and slip up, cling to him, knowing he died for your sins, trust him to change you, you cannot change the inner you, you are sanctified/circumcised by the Spirit, not the written code. I hope the following may be of some help and endorse what I have written.

You yourselves are our letter, written on our hearts, known and read by everyone. [SUP]3 [/SUP]You show that you are a letter from Christ, the result of our ministry, written not with ink but with the Spirit of the living God, not on tablets of stone but on tablets of human hearts.
2Cor3:2&3
and circumcision is circumcision of the heart, by the Spirit, not by the written code. Such a person’s praise is not from other people, but from God.
Rom2:29

People, who so often stress the law must be upheld to be saved, often miss out on the core of Christianity, and the higher points of the law, love, mercy, and compassion. They either become crushed if they are sincere, or put on a false act
God Bless

For sin shall not be your master, for you are not under law but under grace
Rom6:14

Genesis 4:6 And the LORD said unto Cain, Why art thou wroth? and why is thy countenance fallen?
Genesis 4:7 If thou doest well, shalt thou not be accepted? and if thou doest not well, sin lieth at the door. And unto thee shall be his desire, and thou shalt rule over him.

(AMP) Genesis 4:7: If you do well, will you not be accepted? And if you do not do well, sin crouches at your door; its desire is for you, but you must master it.

Cain had God right there with him telling him that he must rule over sin. Cain was upset about his offering not being accepted, and that was more important to him than obedience.

He could have asked God to help him to overcome, but he didn't. And we all know the end result.

James Goes into this too.

James 1:15 Then when lust hath conceived, it bringeth forth sin: and sin, when it is finished, bringeth forth death.

Some translations use the word, "desire," rather than "lust."

James 1:15 Your desire grows inside you until it results in sin. Then the sin grows bigger and bigger and finally ends in death. (ERV)

[h=3]John 3:5-6[/h]Authorized (King James) Version (AKJV)

[SUP]5 [/SUP]Jesus answered, Verily, verily, I say unto thee, Except a man be born of water and of the Spirit, he cannot enter into the kingdom of God.
[SUP]6 [/SUP]That which is born of the flesh is flesh; and that which is born of the Spirit is spirit.

You believe you are born of God's Spirit by God a free gift to you. And we are to thus learn from God as our teacher to what is truth and what is not. We thus discern between flesh and God's Spirit living in us. Forsaking the self flesh daily and if we do sin we thank God the Father for taking it away at the cross with Son as our advocate, being forgiven, we thus ask God how to avoid these self inflicted flesh actions in the future and God teaches each of us.
So by belief letti you are born again a free gift from God to you and all that believe
Romans 5:15
But not as the offence, so also is the free gift. For if through the offence of one many be dead, much more the grace of God, and the gift by grace, which is by one man, Jesus Christ, hath abounded unto many.
Romans 5:16 And not as it was by one that sinned, so is the gift: for the judgment was by one to condemnation, but the free gift is of many offences unto justification.
Romans 5:18 Therefore as by the offence of one judgment came upon all men to condemnation; even so by the righteousness of one the free gift came upon all men unto justification of life.

Romans 5:8 But God commendeth his love toward us, in that, while we were yet sinners, Christ died for us.
Romans 8:34 Who is he that condemneth? It is Christ that died, yea rather, that is risen again, who is even at the right hand of God, who also maketh intercession for us.

Seethe constant intercession for us

Hebrews 4:16 Let us therefore come boldly unto the throne of grace, that we may obtain mercy, and find grace to help in time of need.

Not for forgiveness from God for thankfulness that God through Christ did this:
Colossians 1:22 in the body of his flesh through death, to present you holy and unblameable and unreproveable in his sight:

Now if we do offend anyone else, then yes it is only right to ask then for forgiveness. This is a thankful response to God for while we were yet failures Christ died for us
We are the creation not the creators so what makes better sense here? To respond to God in what God has done and will do through us by believing God at God's word?
Or creating our own God as many have done or are trying to do as if God is a vending Machine? By going to Church, helping out there neighbor, doing an doing good in order to reap REWARDS
Matthew 6:16 Moreover when ye fast, be not, as the hypocrites, of a sad countenance: for they disfigure their faces, that they may appear unto men to fast. Verily I say unto you, They have their reward.
Matthew 23:13 But woe unto you, scribes and Pharisees, hypocrites! for ye shut up the kingdom of heaven against men: for ye neither go in yourselves, neither suffer ye them that are entering to go in.
Matthew 23:14 Woe unto you, scribes and Pharisees, hypocrites! for ye devour widows’ houses, and for a pretence make long prayer: therefore ye shall receive the greater damnation.
Matthew 23:15 Woe unto you, scribes and Pharisees, hypocrites! for ye compass sea and land to make one proselyte, and when he is made, ye make him twofold more the child of hell than yourselves.

God plain and simply just love us, why can't we respond to this and quit trying to initiate, when God said if you seek God above all things your needs shall be supplied.
Fruit of the Spirit:
Galatians 5:22 But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, longsuffering, gentleness, goodness, faith,
