In reality, what many Christians ascribe to demons is simply the flesh! Gal 5v16-26.

Hence, if we follow Paul's example, we will have victory over the works of the flesh! 1Cor 9v24-27.

And no, a Christian cannot be possessed by a demon, and indeed there is no such example in the New Testament! Luke 10v19 (and many like Scriptures)...
Demons do not ask anyone if they are a Christian or not, what they look for is people who accept some sin they promote as OK for them. People who live in repentance of sin, if they truly do not want sin in their live, cannot be possessed by a demon, but there are some people who say they are Christian who do not live in repentance.

1) Acts 5:
3Then Peter said, “Ananias, how is it that Satan has filled your heart to lie to the Holy Spirit and withhold some of the proceeds from the land? 4Did it not belong to you before it was sold? And after it was sold, was it not at your disposal? How could you conceive such a deed in your heart? You have not lied to men, but to God!”
Acts 5:
15As a result, people brought the sick into the streets and laid them on cots and mats, so that at least Peter’s shadow might fall on some of them as he passed by. 16Crowds also gathered from the towns around Jerusalem, bringing the sick and those tormented by unclean spirits, and all of them were healed.

2) Mark 16:
And these signs will accompany those who believe: In My name they will drive out demons; they will speak in new tongues;

3) 1 Timothy 1:
19holding on to faith and a good conscience, which some have rejected and thereby shipwrecked their faith. 20Among them are Hymenaeus and Alexander, whom I have handed over to Satan to be taught not to blaspheme.

4) Most people are infested with demons. They do not leave just because a person gets born again. They have to be driven out.
1) Ananias and Sapphira: In Acts 5v1-12, we see that Ananias and Sapphira were executed for lying to the Holy Spirit. In v3 Peter said, “Ananias, why has Satan filled your heart that you should lie to the Holy Spirit.” Ananias allowed Satan to fill his heart with a lie, he was not possessed, nor was he exorcised, he was executed by God for his deceit and lying. Some have said that Ananias and Sapphira were demon possessed, because the word in Acts 4v31, for “filled,” “ekplerosin,” is the same word that is used for the filling of the Spirit in Acts 4v31. However, Peter did not say that Ananias was possessed by Satan, he said that Ananias had allowed Satan to fill his heart with lies. Peter had the revelation from God of this deceit and lying, and showed that God's answer to it was execution, not exorcism. If Ananias had been demon possessed, he would not have been responsible for his actions; but he was responsible for his acceptance of Satan's corrupting lies, and so he died for it.

2) Absolutely nothing in the context that a Christian can be possessed by a demon!

3) And again, it does not say that Hymenaeus and Alexander were both possessed by demons, but handed over to Satan to be taught not to blaspheme, and if you look at 2Tim 2v16-18 you'll see what the problem was:

"But shun profane and idle babblings, for they will increase to more ungodliness. And their message will spread like cancer. Hymenaeus and Philetus are of this sort, who have strayed concerning the truth, saying that the resurrection is already past; and they overthrow the faith of some."

They were teaching wrong doctrine on the Second Coming of Christ, which caused the overthrow of the faith of some believers!

Secret pre-tribulation Advent and Rapture teachers take note, if you teach this destructive heresy and cause the overthrow of a Christian's faith, do you think that God will treat you any differently than Hymenaeus and Philetus?

4) You obviously have studied little on the subjects of demons from the Scriptures and don't understand the great protection that a Christian has around them!

You can find a study Here that you will find helpful...

40 or 50 years ago deliverance was a normal part of Christian ministry. I believe that the epistles say little because it was normal back then also. Ignorance is not bliss. God's people are still destroyed because of their lack of knowledge.

I grew up in a home where the occult was normal. That was on my mother's side, dad was an atheist. I'm living proof that Satan cannot stop God from saving anyone! And yes, fear is Satan's primary attack. He may not stop people being saved but he can and does hinder spiritual growth.
yes Paul even states that people were not ignorant of the devil's schemes

the devil is very busy doing what the devil does and convincing 'Christians' he cannot affect them

he does far more harm and is very successful at what he does, than most would believe

You obviously have no real life experience with people who are demonised. Did you look at the video? Only a spiritually blind person would not see Christians totally under the control of a demon. I know something about the occult and control. I was delivered from an occult spirit after I was saved.

Christians have protection, but they must fulfill the conditions. How many people do you know who put on the whole armour of God every day without fail? How many do you know who humble themselves under God and resist every attack of the enemy? How many Christians do you know who have never once become complacent and stopped being vigilant? I can tell you how many I know. None. That includes myself.

I've been born again for 50 years. I've seen stuff that would make your hair curl. I've seen many lives transformed when demons have been cast out of them - Christians all. I don't try to deliver unbelievers. There are reasons why not.

The Christian life is not automatic. It's war. Too many Christians are spiritual POW's. It is ignorance such as yours that leaves many struggling with problems that could be resolved in a moment.

Demon possession and speaking of sin in our lifes or the influence of demon ways o our thinking are completely different subjects, and you are trying to make the two separate subjects into one. Your post does not apply to demon possession.
