I am wondering, since the earth turns if it makes sense for lights to move. I am not trying to be a smartie pants.....just wondering.

In reply to the lights in the sky not really, but i have noticed how the sky has changed since last year. The sun is so much brighter now than i have ever seen it, the clouds are changing in weird ways. The weather is getting very strange as well.

Blain, I agree with you. The Sun is much brighter each year. Often it
appears to be blinding and that is not looking directly at it. Yes, things
are changing. I noticed when I went on my deck one night, the stars were
so close to one another.....it was so different than ever before.

I did not see the moving star. But I did see a new and brighter one. I commented to my husband about it.
However, it could be a satellite. So, I really can't be certain what I was seeing, I just know it was new and brighter.

I really LOVE watching the night sky. I get real goosebumps if I see a shooting or fall star. But even if I don't, I love to look at a star filled sky, I think it's just amazing and beautiful. Shooting and falling stars thrill me, I live in the desert and have seen some pretty amazing meteor showers (17 in about 45 minutes). I don't know enough about the sky to know if a new star appears, though, but I do think the sun is getting brighter. Or perhaps it is my eyes getting weaker/more sensitive, don't know.

Twilight Zone intro. - YouTube

You unlock this door with the key of imagination. Beyond it is another dimension - a dimension of sound, a dimension of sight, a dimension of mind. You're moving into a land of both shadow and substance, of things and ideas. You've just crossed over into the Twilight Zone

I'm not positive, perhaps it's another planet? Venus maybe? I know sometimes planets can appear in the night sky, and be brighter than stars, and they will appear to move. Most likely something like this is what you're seeing.

Not a sattelite, is it? We can usually see sattelites from space, and they look like little more than moving stars.

the thing is so. when i looked up and saw that light, it moved really fast. how can that be a satellite? also there was a star?! which really is big and has a light which i never recognized in past in that form. just look daily at time 11pm to 1am what is going on in the sky. maybe you will see that too

we have asteriod showers scheduled every year as we pass by certain regions of space. we have planes, sattellites, and planets many people mistake as stars. However the difference with planets are that they MOVE if you watch the night sky in relation to other stars. The moon and other stars appear to move as well in a circular motion around the North star that remains fixed due to the rotation of the Earth. It is like the Sun appears to move from the East to the West.

In addition, if you are looking at the sky it would appear that the sun is becoming "brighter" because we are approaching summer months and the earth tilt is currently TOWARDS the sun and we have longer days and shorter nights.

from the description of the light being spotted near "New moon" (which you would not be able to see because the moon would be in alignment with the sun but most likely around waxing or waning crescent moon) I would hazard to suggest that you are seeing Mercury which is closer to the sun and can only be seen at dawn or dusk.
