Ephesians 2
8For by grace are ye saved through faith; and that not of yourselves: it is the gift of God:
9 Not of works, lest any man should boast.
10 For we are his workmanship, created in Christ Jesus unto good works, which God hath before ordained that we should walk in them.
Some accentuate verses 8 and 9 alone. Some draw attention to the fact that we are saved unto good works in verse 10.
I like pointing out that in either case we start off as being his workmanship created so that God alone receives the glory.
10 For we are his workmanship, created in Christ Jesus... and... we are new creatures.
2 Cor 5:17 Therefore if any man be in Christ, he is a new creature: old things are passed away; behold, all things are become new.
