I know it's hard to think of the 4 horses in the book of Revelation as being the 4 gospels, but the book is written in symbolic language, that means we have to look back to other places in the bible to understand the meaning. Here's an example.

4 Gospels not 4 horses look at the 4 living creatures. Jesus in the Gospels is shown as one of the faces in each book

Lion = Yeshua, He will come back as the Lion
Man = he is the son of man
Ox = He came as a servant
Eagle = God is compared to a Eagle in the Bible.

I totally agree on the 4 living creatures, and you may be right on the 4 horses, but I'm still leaning heavily toward them being the 4 gospels still. Remember though, the book of Revelation is the revealing of Jesus Christ and that is exactly what the 4 gospels do. Also keep in mind that the 7 seals are sealing a book. That could only be one book in my opinion... the Old Testament.

The Old Testament is the New Testament concealed.
The New Testament is the Old Testament revealed.

They both tell the same story, but it is hard to see Jesus and New Testament principles in the Old Testament... but they are there. That's why I think the four horses are the four gospels. Time will tell, everything God has shown me in the bible has taken time to fully understand it.

Shilo, how did you determine what the horses colors represent? i.e. Red - War

I love the last part of Zechariah, I believe it's talking about Daniel's 4th kingdom.
The Lord showed me a neat thing about the numbers 3 and 4 and how they are used in the bible. You may not go for this, must people don't lol, but it's pretty cool how the Lord speaks to us.

The number 3 points to the earthly kingdom - "3rd generation" - the Old Testament . Notice how Revelation talks about a "third part" of ...
1) Abraham
2) Isaac
3) Jacob

The number 4 points to the spiritual kingdom - "4th generation" - the New Testament. Revelation also talks about a "fourth part" of...
1) Matthew
2) Mark
3) Luke
4) John

Anyway, I think the 4 horns that scattered Judah was the army that God sent against Jerusalem in AD 70 and the 4 carpenters are the 4 carpenters that build the "real" house of God (the body of Christ)... the 4 gospels.
Genesis 1
yes, [SUP]9 [/SUP]Then God said, “Let the waters under the heavens be gathered into one place. Let the dry land be seen.” And it was so. [SUP]10 [/SUP]Then God called the dry land Earth. He called the gathering of the waters Seas. And God saw that it was good. [SUP]11 [/SUP]Then God said, “Let plants grow from the earth, plants that have seeds. Let fruit trees grow on the earth that bring their kind of fruit with their own seeds.” And it was so. [SUP]12 [/SUP]Plants grew out of the earth, giving their own kind of seeds. Trees grew with their fruit, and their kind of seeds. And God saw that it was good.
[SUP]13 [/SUP]There was evening and there was morning, the third day

Genesis 1 Then God said, “Let there be lights in the open space of the heavens to divide day from night. Let them tell the days and years and times of the year. [SUP]15 [/SUP]Let them be lights in the open space of the heavens to give light on the earth.” And it was so. [SUP]16 [/SUP]Then God made the two great lights, the brighter light to rule the day, and the smaller light to rule the night. He made the stars also. [SUP]17 [/SUP]God put them in the open space of the heavens to give light on the earth, [SUP]18 [/SUP]to rule the day and the night. He divided the light from the darkness. And God saw that it was good.
[SUP]19 [/SUP]There was evening and there was morning, the fourth day.

Part of this has to do with the name and symbol of El shaddai, but I have not done a deep study on this if you have notes I would like to see them.

Pray to the Lord to open your eyes through the Holy Spirit and read about the Horses. Take everything said about the horses and the colors with them you will see.

What I gave was the meaning of the horses you will still need the meaning of the rider(s).

Look for the 1st rider in the book of Daniel
Look for the 4th rider in Daniel and judges 6 story of gideon. You will see here the 4th riders or he had power to give life unto the image of the beast, that the image of the beast should both speak, and cause that as many as would not worship the image of the beast should be killed.
what is this image
it was, was not at the time of John and would be again. look for the image in Daniel and the Horse in Judges.
I believe this tells us it is the same rider on each horse growing in strength. Then his dream for the world or Image he has thought up with the help of satan takes shape.

This goes both ways to understand you need the old to take the veil off the new and the new to take the veil off the old.
