Ok what you have is called ' deductive reasoning ' . You cannot arrive at what you believe with what the bible actually says . ' inductive reasoning.
This is the order . 13¶In whom ye also trusted, after that ye heard the word of truth, the gospel of your salvation: in whom also after that ye believed, ye were sealed with that holy Spirit of promise,
14Which is the earnest of our inheritance until the redemption of the purchased possession, unto the praise of his glory. Eph 1 .
This is what the bible says.
Amen, faith comes first, then the anointing and sealing

Yes

but paul could have still resisted in unbelief. Remember, he thought as a pharisee he was ok, he had to be convinced he was a true sinner,
I believe Paul had a change of heart as soon as he heard Jesus , paul said " “So he, trembling and astonished, said, ‘Lord, what do You want me to do?’ , he had accepted Jesus there and then...

Also when he reached the place he was taken , Paul was praying , and God had given him a vision of Ananias coming to him and putting his hands on Paul...Paul heard the voice of Jesus , knew He was alive , yet the other men only saw the light...

If I do not think I have sinned any sins, I will never believe in him

thats why the pharisees rejected him

We don't have to do anything more once we are saved, but we should.
This is a very false, misleading, and unbiblical statement. Here is what the Bible says:

EPHESIANS 2: THE REDEEMED HAVE BEEN CREATED FOR GOOD WORKS
8 For by grace are ye saved through faith; and that not of yourselves: it is the gift of God: 9 Not of works, lest any man should boast. 10 For we are his workmanship, created in Christ Jesus unto good works, which God hath before ordained that we should walk in them.

TITUS 2: THE REDEEMED MUST BE ZEALOUS IN GOOD WORKS
11 For the grace of God that bringeth salvation hath appeared to all men,
12 Teaching us that, denying ungodliness and worldly lusts, we should live soberly, righteously, and godly, in this present world;
13 Looking for that blessed hope, and the glorious appearing of the great God and our Saviour Jesus Christ;
14 Who gave himself for us, that he might redeem us from all iniquity, and purify unto himself a peculiar people, zealous of good works.

JAMES 2: THE ABSENCE OF GOOD WORKS PROVES THAT ONE IS NOT SAVED
14 What doth it profit, my brethren, though a man say he hath faith, and have not works? can faith save him?
15 If a brother or sister be naked, and destitute of daily food,
16 And one of you say unto them, Depart in peace, be ye warmed and filled; notwithstanding ye give them not those things which are needful to the body; what doth it profit?
17 Even so faith, if it hath not works, is dead, being alone.
18 Yea, a man may say, Thou hast faith, and I have works: shew me thy faith without thy works, and I will shew thee my faith by my works.
19 Thou believest that there is one God; thou doest well: the devils also believe, and tremble.
20 But wilt thou know, O vain man, that faith without works is dead?
21 Was not Abraham our father justified by works, when he had offered Isaac his son upon the altar?
22 Seest thou how faith wrought with his works, and by works was faith made perfect?
[Note: "perfect" here means complete]
23 And the scripture was fulfilled which saith, Abraham believed God, and it was imputed unto him for righteousness: and he was called the Friend of God.
24 Ye see then how that by works a man is justified, and not by faith only.
25 Likewise also was not Rahab the harlot justified by works, when she had received the messengers, and had sent them out another way?
26 For as the body without the spirit is dead, so faith without works is dead also.

James is not contradicting Paul, but supporting what Paul has said above. Verse 24 speaks of justification as seen by men (see verse 18).

There are three phases to salvation according to Scripture:

JUSTIFICATION: by grace through faith results in redemption. Eternal life (salvation) is given as a gift of God, and has many facets. Repentance towards God and faith toward our Lord Jesus Christ (Acts 20:21) are two sides of the same coin. There is no remission of sins without repentance (Acts 3:19).

SANCTIFICATION: by the power of the Holy Spirit includes good works, and is part of the transformation of the sinner into the likeness of Christ, who "went about doing good works". Sanctification includes obedience to God and Christ, the first step being Christian baptism (which accompanies salvation). Baptism does not save or regenerate anyone. It is evidence of regeneration. So to claim "we don't have to do anything more" is a false gospel.

GLORIFICATION: by the power of God and Christ is for the ultimate perfection of the saints, so that they are exact replicas of Christ. Glorification is at the Resurrection/Rapture of the saints.

4¶But God, who is rich in mercy, for his great love wherewith he loved us,
5Even when we were dead in sins, hath quickened us together with Christ, (by grace ye are saved;)
6And hath raised us up together, and made us sit together in heavenly places in Christ Jesus:
7That in the ages to come he might shew the exceeding riches of his grace in his kindness toward us through Christ Jesus.
8For by grace are ye saved through faith; and that not of yourselves: it is the gift of God:
9Not of works, lest any man should boast.
10For we are his workmanship, created in Christ Jesus unto good works, which God hath before ordained that we should walk in them.

I think its sad that we read such wonderful things in Ephesians and then the focus becomes skewered due to one verse . Pride gets in the way of grace.
Verse 10 is a encouraging verse . its wonderful that on top of being called saints , blessed us with all spiritual blessings in heavenly places in Christ: ( Eph 1 v3 ) We are Chosen in Him to be Holy and blameless ( Eph 1v4 ) Predestined to the future adoption ( Eph 1v5 ) ( Rom 8.23 )
7¶In whom we have redemption through his blood, the forgiveness of sins, according to the riches of his grace;
8Wherein he hath abounded toward us in all wisdom and prudence;
9Having made known unto us the mystery of his will, according to his good pleasure which he hath purposed in himself:
10That in the dispensation of the fulness of times he might gather together in one all things in Christ, both which are in heaven, and which are on earth; even in him:
11In whom also we have obtained an inheritance, being predestinated according to the purpose of him who worketh all things after the counsel of his own will:
12That we should be to the praise of his glory, who first trusted in Christ.
13¶In whom ye also trusted, after that ye heard the word of truth, the gospel of your salvation: in whom also after that ye believed, ye were sealed with that holy Spirit of promise,
( eph 2. 6 ) seated in the heavenlies

We get through all of that and suddenly were going to jump all over " ah but saved for works " Gotta have the works to show the above be true . No works ,the above is void.
No the fact that we have ALSO been saved unto good works is amazing and such further blessings.

How did you miss that in Titus 2 ?
11 For the grace of God that bringeth salvation hath appeared to all men,
12 Teaching us that, denying ungodliness and worldly lusts, we should live soberly, righteously, and godly, in this present world;

Notice its the GRACE of God that teaches us how to live.

you say //JAMES 2: THE ABSENCE OF GOOD WORKS PROVES THAT ONE IS NOT SAVED// FALSE !! you obviously have not spent much time around the cults . Jehovah witnesses, mormons ect would put most believers to shame when it comes to works . There are plenty of people within churches all across the globe who are ' working ' there selves silly and they are not saved . Jesus said,you will know them by their fruit . What fruit ? false teaching. You will know them by what they say and believe.

Does the last part of verse 19 apply to gentiles in 2020 ? Did you notice the difference in Acts 16 .30 and Acts 8 .26-40

Glorification is at the Resurrection/Rapture of the saints.
you say /// so that they are exact replicas of Christ/// Exact replicas ??

Acts 26:20 But shewed first unto them of Damascus, and at Jerusalem, and throughout all the coasts of Judaea, and then to the Gentiles, that they should repent and turn to God, and do works meet for repentance.

Acts 19:4
hen said Paul, John verily baptized with the baptism of repentance, saying unto the people, that they should believe on him which should come after him, that is, on Christ Jesus.

Contrition for sin does not mean one stops doing that sin either.

The meaning of "metanoia" is clear it is to turn away from one mindset towards another.

The context determines what one is turning from and towards.

This is not just biblical word it is found in secular Greek writings as well and the etymology and the meaning is clear.
Well, all I know is .....

What Calv is built on is deductive reasoning . It goes like this . ' well we know man is totally depraved so we need to figure out
We've got whole denominations who base their entire theology on the book of Acts . Mainly Acts 2 . The book has 28 chapters with nothing normative in each chapter . Go figure .
This is quite normative....
