I believe the bible is true,However I have never been able to reason out the story of Noahs ark.
For example if the flood of Noah truley covered the entire earth and killed every living thing except
the passengers of the ark. Where did all the races of men come from? Where did all the different animals come from? I cant get my head around it you mean to tell me that all the diverseity in the amazon jungle was on that ark along with the african congo and savannah, along with siam and indonesia, along with all the unique animals of the australlian outback and the magestic animals of north america and the pacific islands???? How can this explain all the different kinds of people on earth and there cultures.

I think I saw a documentary a while back where anthropologists actually found a huge amount of wooden remains around Mt Ararat where the ark stopped at.

I know its mind boggling considering the amount of animals we're thinking of here, but do your research as well. The measurements God told Noah to make the boat were HUGE, plus it took him over 100 years to build it - this was not some simple sailing ship.

As I like to say. The Ark (and a ton of other stuff in the book of Genesis) will always be a mystery to us. Put it on your mental list of things to ask God when you get to heaven. :D

Hi,

It does not take long to repopulate people and animals, anyhow for more detailed explanations from experts have a look here:

Answers in Genesis - Creation, Evolution, Christian Apologetics

hundreds of Articles etc on creation, Noahs flood, species, mankind.

Kiwi_OT is correct- it took over 100 years to build.

It wasn't just Noah and his wife that was in the ark. It was all their sons and their daughters and their families- thats a lot of people. If you read the Bible you'll notice that people lived a lot longer and had soooo many children. I'm sure they were a colony in themselves.

Also nothing is impossible for God.

I agree with all the previous posts.

With the "race" thing, you mean ethnicity?

As people traveled to different regions of the world, they adapted to their surroundings (habitat) causing them to appear different from those in other regions, though they were (are) the same. People closest to the equator had darker skin, as they traveled north or south of the equator, they became lighter.

Also, as they grew apart and new generations were birthed, their customs changed (which became their "culture").

You can probably get more information on this from the History channel or the Discovery channel.

The basic need for undserstandin or believing the Bible is faith. e have to believe that what God's word says is truth. If we don't then why are we here? Our human minds cannot begin to fathom the ways of God and how he accomplishes His purposes.

God gathered the animals for Noah.

To help you with your question, I refer you to Genesis 11:1-9
1 Now the whole world had one language and a common speech. 2 As men moved eastward, they found a plain in Shinar and settled there.

3 They said to each other, "Come, let's make bricks and bake them thoroughly." They used brick instead of stone, and tar for mortar. 4 Then they said, "Come, let us build ourselves a city, with a tower that reaches to the heavens, so that we may make a name for ourselves and not be scattered over the face of the whole earth."
5 But the LORD came down to see the city and the tower that the men were building. 6 The LORD said, "If as one people speaking the same language they have begun to do this, then nothing they plan to do will be impossible for them. 7 Come, let us go down and confuse their language so they will not understand each other." 8 So the LORD scattered them from there over all the earth, and they stopped building the city. 9 That is why it was called Babel —because there the LORD confused the language of the whole world. From there the LORD scattered them over the face of the whole earth.

God confused their languages and scattered the people over all the earth. People naturally went to where they could understand others. That started the different cultural groups.

God did it all, who are we to doubt His work?

In Christ,
John

Sometimes when I think about how things came to be, I get a little freaked out (in a good way). I mean really. Bits of matter come together to form a single grain of sand, how much more everything else? Its just awesome. God is awesome.

hey thanks for discussing my question. not for answering it because it cant be explained by us. This is a matter of faith like i said I believe it i just dont understand it because of the silence of the scripture on the matter. It was nice to hear a few of your thoughts please share more if you have an opinion or a unique perspictive. GOD BLESS...

I don't get how any nephilim/giants could have survived the flood. The flood was supposed to wipe them out. When we come to David and the philistines some of these giant genes still exist.

this is cool i just did a reply connected to this. all animals and races of men were on the ark. Preachers do not teach of this because it is contraversial,GOD said 2 of each unclean flesh and 7 clean animals, he wanted 7 clean animals for noah to sacrifies and future sacrificial examples of christ you can not sacrifice unclean animals to GOD it will be rejected. The two unclean animals each also ment the other races that were created during the 6th day creation when GOD said lets make man in our image. GOD was talking to us in angelic Form we have to be born of women to get evelasting life even JESUS Said this to redeem us from satans deseption in the time before we were man, we chose as a mission to be in flesh(thats why the word says we are not of this world but strangers and pigrims passing through). GOD on the 6th day made fisherman, gatherers, farmers all depictions of the different races that we can still see in our time now. In noahs ark he took two of each unclean flesh including humans and Noah and his wife his three sons and there wife knew the truth and from Adams realitity of the Garden, passed down all the way to Noah this truth can from the tree of life that is why the Bible says only eight living souls were on the boat they were the only ones alive who knew Truth, the beginning with Adam and kept it, thats why the drunkerd( GOd BLESS HIM) Noah was a Just man in GODs eye because he knew the truth of the beginning.

it was a second influx of the falling angels after the flood and the seed line of the geeber stayed in existance, because GOD promised the earth to never fllood it again to destroy (the rainbow) GOD used the children of Israel to be his weapons to wipe the raphiam (geber same thing) out as they entered the promise land they didnt follow orders all the way but GOD finally got them David showed them lol . you can google BUlingers appendixes of the companion bible

Yes I believe there was an second influx also.
If you look at Sodom and Gomorrah I believe this was their sin.
Why and how did they know to have sex with the angels God sent to help Lot?
Then you look at these scriptures in Jude also:

6And the angels which kept not their first estate, but left their own habitation, he hath reserved in everlasting chains under darkness unto the judgment of the great day.
7Even as Sodom and Gomorrha, and the cities about them in like manner, giving themselves over to fornication, and going after strange flesh, are set forth for an example, suffering the vengeance of eternal fire.
8Likewise also these filthy dreamers defile the flesh, despise dominion, and speak evil of dignities.

well if somthing is sadducing you. and if your lust arent controlled, which is definatly the replica of sodom and gomorra. Its easy pickens for for a sexed up angel ( not to make it sound so crazy). But I think the JUDE scripture is telling the character of just the fallen angels. verse six tells the reality that they were in heaven with GOD and chose to sadduce women instead of doing the plan of GOD. That result is in Judes prophecy that they are chained in darkness as of today but they will be released a short season when the antichrist is hear and sadduce women again causing mayhem for the world. But when JESUS CHRIST (the DAY of JUDGEMENT or vengence) comes back he is going to emediatly cast them in the lake of FIRE. EVEN means in old english exactly like wise or equal to. they just like soddom and gamorra in verse 7 the fallen angels are going to burn is fire(hell) as judgment for their lust and entering strange flesh. it is a just verdict for these angels from GOD in verse 8 he is saying they defile the flesh and and despise GODs athority and speaks blashamy in their heart against him they hate GOD tru followers of satan

i think there's another theory, that one of Noah's wives had angel genes in her.

yea i never thought about that, i had to read your quote again right quick, I dont know i think angels look like men. I dont think they have wings exept for very special ones but i think GOD made them in his image, most likely with no wings the people in SOdom and Gamorra probably thought they were regular men until they got there eyes checked (lust of the eyes) lol. they were doomed then

I believe they were recognized as angels as you can read as soon as Lot saw them he bowed his face before the ground. Yes the angels were called men also and no I don't believe they had wings.
I don't know if angels came to San Francisco if they would know to have sex with them the first night.
They somehow knew.

You can see here both Sodom and Gomorrha and the fallen angels all went after strange flesh.

It wasn't just Noah and his wife that was in the ark. It was all their sons and their daughters and their families- thats a lot of people.
There were only 8 humans saved in the Ark.

Noah & Wife = 2

3 sons & wives = 6

(Shem, Ham, Japheth)
