who ever has a chance to forget??
I guess it would be a bliss to just forget 'em, but then again you see their stinking posts and you're reminded...if anything then at least about Paul's struggle against similar spirits. Ugh.

Ya. He really is really mixed up. He can't decide if we are saved by grace or by works. I think he is talking out of his hind end half the time.

Yeah...it is called Salvation Lite<----his coined phrase for the pseudo gospel he believes and teaches.....!

Please take note that 1 John 5:16-18 talks about sins that lead unto death and sins that do not lead unto death. I believe the sins that lead unto death are sins such as lying, murder, hate, adultery, theft, idolatry, and drunkenness, etc. which will lead to the Second Death, i.e. the Lake of Fire.

This is not a one time event but a continued relationship and walk with the Lord.

How can it be a continued relationship if we do not sin?
What about David...David was/is saved and the bible makes that clear!

However, that said, Samson and Solomon were saved and they lived out very sinful lives. But these are examples of God's grace and mercy of how one can be saved by the skin of their teeth. QUOTE]

I am talking to the devil now .
And you have no authority over him. I suggest you must be possessed and never had the Holy Spirit then.

Or perhaps if you think I am the devil, then you have the theology all wrong. People cannot be devils, only possessed or following his intents. So which is it?

The other problem with calling me a devil, which may be a valid accusation if I was evil, had a hardened heart, was a hypocrite who was steeped in sin and rebellious against the Lord, but I am known of these things.

So what is the point of the accusation, it is like a child in a playground shouting because they are angry and everyone walks by feeling sorry for them. By the way what you are doing is not a sin against the holy spirit, because you do not even know how to say what you intend properly.

Dear Sirk:

God is not going to condemn someone for disobeying a command that does not have any specific penalties attached. But yet there are many other Commands in His Word that do have penalties attached if we disobey them, though.

For example: Jesus says if you do not forgive, you will not be forgiven. It means exactly what it says.
The Our Father where you get "Jesus says if you do not forgive, you will not be forgiven" is a "Disciples Prayer" given to Old Testament Jewish disciples before the crufixion, resurrection and Church Age.

A Chrisitan is not forgiven on the basis of forgiving others; he is forgiven, and cleansed, when he judges his own sin and confesses it to Jesus (1Cor.11:30-33; 1John 1:9)

If our forgiveness is conditional on forgiving others, then the atonement of Jesus Christ (not yet accomplished when the prayer was given) is insufficient, for "forgiveness and remission" of sins are clearly said to be part of the finished work of Jesus Christ in the believer (Col.1:14, Acts 13:38-40).

A Jew under Jesus's earthly ministry obtained forgiveness on a conditional basis. Matt.6:12 is teaching salvation from sin and forgiveness on the basis of works. It doesn't have a thing to do with the Blood-Atonement of our Lord.

It's not wrong to tell people to stop sinning or to stop in doing evil. What do you think repentance is all about? What is the difference between a believer and unbeliever by the way that they live? Do you think there are some really good law abiding familes who try to live good lives without Jesus? You betcha. So what really makes them better than say the believer who thinks they can sin and still be saved? Not much if they both sin and do not have a changed life whereby they have crucified the affections and lusts. For what you don't understand is that God's people are holy. Not some mumbo jumbo we are holy but yet we cannot prove it garbage. God's people are actually supposed to live holy and perfect lives (According to God's Word). For why are you fighting against that which is good? Would it not be better to believe God's Word so as to stop in sinning? What would that mean for your life if you had stopped sinning?
However, that said, Samson and Solomon were saved and they lived out very sinful lives. But these are examples of God's grace and mercy of how one can be saved by the skin of their teeth. QUOTE]

I suppose you think David was lost as well?

sin is serious business. my Savior had to die for it. i hate it in myself. :(

but can't we also remember this?

For this reason I bow my knees before the Father,
from whom every family in heaven and on earth derives its name,
that He would grant you, according to the riches of His glory, to be strengthened with power through His Spirit in the inner man,
so that Christ may dwell in your hearts through faith; and that you, being rooted and grounded in love,
may be able to comprehend with all the saints what is the breadth and length and height and depth,
and to know the love of Christ which surpasses knowledge, that you may be filled up to all the fullness of God. (Eph 3:14-19)

oh, the deep, deep love of Jesus. He keeps me on course.

Do you occasionally fail and sin? Yes or No

The bible teaches that there is only one who was sinless...Jesus

Yes the Love of God can keep us on track and at the same time OVER LOOK and COVER a multitude of SIN....

Someone who teaches that they are sinless and more righteous than one who confesses that they occasionally fail and sin is a false teacher and comparable to a Pharisee.....

John said....IF we say that we HAVE NO SIN...we are deceived and the truth is not in us......People who say they have no sin or do not ever sin are deceived and the truth is not in them...period.....

Just because many will stand against those who propagate lies and falsehoods does not mean that it is not out of pure motives and or a love for GOD and HIS WORD......!

He seems to be stuck on thinking that we are advocating sinning with abandon.
I believe there are many here who believe they should do what is good and right according to certain moral laws, but yet they make an allowance for some sin to take place in their life because they say they will never be able to stop sinning. I do think others are not looking at all the bad in their life and they trivialize sin. Anyways, we know that a little bit of sin is just as bad and destructive as a lot of sin. Adam just committed one sin and it put the entire world into sin and death. God does not want us to sin at all. For Jesus was manifested to destroy the works of the devil (i.e. sin). To say that one is going to sin at some point in the future, and or that they will forever sin is basically condoning sin or they are making an allowance for sin to take place in their life (Which is contrary to God and His Kingdom). For he that commits sin is of the devil. But God is Holy and He will not be able to condone a person's thinking that they will just forever sin in this life (Whether it be one sin, a little bit of sin on occasion, or a lot of sin). Sin is still wrong; And Jesus said the Son of man will send his angels to remove all who work iniquity in his kingdom. Iniquity is sin. So even if it is a sin a person does on occasion (Whereby they think it is covered by the blood of the Lamb), they are not going to make it. For what do you think the wedding garment represents in the Parable in the Banquet?

when someone joins this forum or another...or even subscribes to a mailing list, their IP address is also available...it is unique to that persons' computer...I would have assumed they would simply block that address...anyone can block an address if they have a blog with subscribers etc...but there are ways around it...hackers do it all the time

you can also identify servers and block those

it's just a series of numbers something like: 1234.5678.91011.123
