I love this combination of verses that run parallel to the same thought in the first verse
Mark 8:35 For whosoever will save his life shall lose it;
but whosoever shall lose his life for my sake and the gospel's, the same shall save it.
2Ti 1:12 For the which cause I also suffer these things: nevertheless I am not ashamed:
for I know whom I have believed, and am persuaded that he is able to keep that which I have committed unto him against that day.
Phm 3:8 Yea doubtless, and I count all things but loss for the excellency of the knowledge of Christ Jesus my Lord:
for whom I have suffered the loss of all things, and do count them but dung, that I may win Christ,

Luke 9:26 For whosoever shall be ashamed of me and of my words, of him shall the Son of man be ashamed,
when he shall come in his own glory, and in his Father's, and of the holy angels.

1Cr 9:27 But I keep under my body, and bring it into subjection:
lest that by any means, when I have preached to others, I myself should be a castaway.

for in doing this thou shalt both save thyself, and them that hear thee.
