I see it differently, my friend.

The Jews, just like the whole world in Noah’s days, were sinning. They were not looking to the law.

All people on earth have the ability to stop sinning. What they did not have is the ability to say, “I have made my heart clean, I am pure from my sin” (Proverbs 20:9).

Nothing before Christ’s sacrifice could “purify a peculiar people, zealous of good works” (Titus 2:14) so all people, including Daniel, Isaiah, etc., could never claim to be nothing but guilty of having sinned with their fathers.

Now that we have the perfect sacrifice in Christ, we should walk worthy of that perfect sacrifice (Hebrews 10:14; Ephesians 4:1).

Matthew 5:48
Be ye therefore perfect, even as your Father which is in heaven is perfect.

I disagree friend

if we could stop sinning, we would no longer need Christ, we would have arrived

If we have stopped sinning......what is the purpose of the Holy Spirit in our hearts?

Amen...

Lamentations 3:22-23
The steadfast love of the Lord never ceases; his mercies never come to an end; they are new every morning; great is your faithfulness.

Everyday we are given God`s mercy , why would He give it if we were sinless...

People can stop sinning; but they can’t take away their past sins.

That’s why Christ came; to take away our sins past (Romans 3:25; 2 Peter 1:9).

John 14:26
[26] But the Comforter, which is the Holy Ghost, whom the Father will send in my name, he shall teach you all things, and bring all things to your remembrance, whatsoever I have said unto you.

One of the things that Christ said, that the Holy Ghost should bring to your mind, is this:

Matthew 18:7-8
[7] Woe unto the world because of offences! for it must needs be that offences come; but woe to that man by whom the offence cometh! [8] Wherefore if thy hand or thy foot offend thee, cut them off, and cast them from thee: it is better for thee to enter into life halt or maimed, rather than having two hands or two feet to be cast into everlasting fire.

So yield your members as instruments of righteousness unto God (Romans 6:13).

@Magenta ...
Hi...
Have you ever watched The Book of Acts on YouTube...
I watched it and thought is was really good , great acting , and as far as I know , it stuck to the bible...
I say as far as I know because I watched it not long after I was born again , just wondering if you had seen it...
...xox...
Hello Rosemary :) Do you mean this rendition of the Book of Acts?

I don't think I have! Thank you for the recommendation :D

I did watch A.D. Kingdom and Empire on Netflix, last July...

It follows the apostles post resurrection in the book of Acts.

There is a similar but different one on youtube, also.

I have seen some that deviated so far from the texts that it is disturbing :censored:

1John 1:8

If we claim to be without sin,we deceive ourselves and the truth is not in us.
If we confess our sins,he is faithful and just and will and will forgive us our sins and purify us from all unrighteousness.
If we claim we have not sinned,we make him out to be a liar, and his word has no place in our lives.

Thats where I say it, Its called Paul, Apostle of Christ. Great move about when Paul was in prison and Luke was interviewing him to help him write the book of Acts.

My sins were taken away by Christ’s sacrifice; when I believed the gospel.

Now I cannot sin because I am born of God (1 John 3:9).

Your past sins were taken away.when you became born again ...I believe 1John..1:8....so will agree to disagree..I’m not arguing with you..so you can forget that.

Do you think it is biblical ?
Or do you think it was made to fill in the gaps of Paul and Luke's relationship , I don`t want false ideas in my head lol...Just trying to be cautious...

It can get confusing when there are so many of them! :giggle::geek::giggle:

I think those two are the same, actually. Just different names

The one I posted can go up to a resolution 720 :D
I know the resolution is worse in the one I posted , must be annoying for someone like you who loves their graphics :giggle::giggle::giggle:...
But the one I posted is longer , and I watched the one you posted for a little while , but the Paul did not look like the Paul in my one hahahaha...

Its a drama, I would say there is nothing anti biblical. But if your looking as if is everything there in the bible then no

But it should not hurt you spiritually, it should help..

NASBUpdate = 1995 edition.

I hope I live long enough for the NASBU Only cult to come into existence.

First thing I will tell them when they criticize a modern version is "We don't speak in that antiquated 1995 language anymore!" :p
I have the 1995, but never heard it called NASBU. I smell a conspiracy brewing.
