Ecclesiastes 12:13
"Now all has been heard; here is the conclusion of the matter: Fear God and keep his commandments, for this is the duty of all mankind".
My Bible tells me this in Isa 61:10
I will greatly rejoice in the LORD, my soul shall be joyful in my God; for he hath clothed me with the garments of salvation, he hath covered me with the robe of righteousness, as a bridegroom decketh himself with ornaments, and as a bride adorneth herself with her jewels.
The Hebrew word for covered there means "completely wrapped up".
That means my spirit has been imputed with Jesus's righteousness such that, no matter which angle God looks at me, he only sees the perfect obedience of Jesus.
Thus, no, God does not see any sin when he looks at me.

Yes, but we're talking about when a Christian habitually wilfully sins.
Hebrews 10:26 tells us that no sacrifice will cover those sins:
Hebrews 10:26
"Dear friends, if we deliberately continue sinning after we have received knowledge of the truth, there is no longer any sacrifice that will cover these sins"
As an aside, I don't know why I've come under so much flak simply for saying that Christians should keep God's commandments:
John 14:15
"If you love me, keep my commandments"

But when you say we need to do it - that implies to most people that you need to do the works to be saved . . .
And now you have: faith + works = salvation That is heresy
You are getting a huge reaction here from people who believe in eternal security (once saved, always saved). Anything to do with works being connected to salvation will get a reaction from many of them.
I do not believe in OSAS. I believe we are saved by grace through faith and we stay saved by grace through faith. Works are a beautiful product of God working in our lives. But it is not "automatic." We have the privilege of working hard, sweating, and laboring for God's kingdom and it takes effort, discipline, guts, and fighting! PTL!
