"I stand by what I posted..."

"I don't need a lecture..."

Hmmm, well actually I think you do!
Agreed. He's the guy that calls out people for being divisive, while he gives "likes" and "agrees" to divisive, name calling and lying posts. :)

Hi @Chester :)

I don't think Lightskin is the subject of conversation now.
I think the context of the current discussion is that some people are conflating confronting sin (which we have a duty to do, and as you quite rightly did) with judging people on their sin.
See post #924 where Sackcloth-N-Ashes says:
I’m talking about someone who on here says he’s still fooling around, and not showing repentance for doing it.

I think he is still talking about Lightskin, but I might be wrong.

Nope. He thought he was talking man to man, and Bible with you. Apparently he was mistaken, and you're offended by the word.
Not offended by the word at all, the guy claimed I made a statement I didn't - when I posted a pic of the applicable posts instead of admitting he was in error he proceeded with a lecture.

He still hasn't admitted his error.

Yes, I think that's because there are some people who seem to be arguing that because Jesus saves us, that there is no need to keep God's commandments at all.

The people who are (apparently) arguing this are conflating 'keeping God's commandments' with 'salvation by works'.

Yes, but also in general.
Its no different than the liar who lives a life of continual lying.
The drunkard who lives a drunkard’s life.
The gambler who lives the gambler’s life.
The adulterer who lives the adulterer’s life.

And so on...

Christians sins, and never said anything to the contrary. But they don’t live a life of habitual sinning.

If I have it was probably in error or misunderstanding - you would need to find the posts that I liked or agreed to to substantiate your claims.

Again, define “keep”.

I appreciate you not mocking me but at the same time you and sack were mocking EG.
My mockery stands and won't be retracted. Any person talking crud about a person they have on ignore, name calling them, lying about them is a coward.

Yeah, I live 2 miles from that bridge. Less than that as the crow flies. September 13th is opening weekend of the NFL and I might be out of state seeing a game. Let me know when you’re out here and if I’m in town we can get together.
Sounds good bro. I am going to the RAIDERS/PANTHERS LORD willing. I'll give you my number sometime, if you like, and we can chat. I went down a bad road for a time, maybe we can encourage one another.

More importantly my bro, pray God brings you to full repentance. I will tell you the truth, and I do it in love; do not be deceived. Read the Scriptures I've given you.

He can say them all day long. But has he put those words to action?

The Christ gave a parable of where a father wanted his sons to go to work. The first, he didn’t, then got up and obeyed his father’s words. The other said he’d go, but never went.[Matthew 21:29-30]

At this juncture, he’s the latter, not the former.
You're right! Words are cheap and actions prove a man!

But I'll bet that Lightskin hasn't committed adultery yet since we started this conversation today (of course I could be wrong)

So to say he is the son who didn't do his father's command can't be proved yet!

If Lightskin goes home and quits committing adultery he's the son who got up and obeyed his father's words, right!?
I am betting on Lightskin that he will be a man and quit sinning! As I said in another place, this sort of thing will take guts, effort, and discipline: it isn't automatic! What about it Lightskin? I am with you brother and praying that God gives you a mighty victory today!

I've already substantiated them and don't need to a second time, it perhaps tells me who you are, bro. Is that who you are?

Hi Chester, hope you are well my bro!

I hope you haven't lost your salvation yet. (Just kidding bro, kill me later!)

Our brother @Lightskin also fessed up to drinking. Although I am not against consumption, Scripture is against being a drunkard. I am not sure where he is at on that, if it is drinking with the world, or what.

I must have missed the post where you pointed out all the posts that I liked or agreed with. So you haven't substantiated anything. Perhaps you could post them again?

"it perhaps tells me who you are, bro. Is that who you are?"

I haven't a clue what you are saying or implying here, I ain't a Calvinist that's for sure.
