Take a good look at what the Roman Catholic Church teaches and you will see the false teachings that God says to beware of.
There are other teachings to be aware of in the Cults like Islam.
Today even in Churches that claim to follow Jesus there are false teachers. The most recent ones being the megachurches that endorse Gay Marriage and encourage Gay marriages.
We are seeing today a fallowing away in the Church and the World the teaching of the Truths from God.
2 Thessalonians 2:1-12
[SUP]1 [/SUP] Now, brethren, concerning the coming of our Lord Jesus Christ and our gathering together to Him, we ask you,
[SUP]2 [/SUP] not to be soon shaken in mind or troubled, either by spirit or by word or by letter, as if from us, as though the day of Christ had come.
[SUP]3 [/SUP] Let no one deceive you by any means; for that Day will not come unless the falling away comes first, and the man of sin is revealed, the son of perdition,
[SUP]4 [/SUP] who opposes and exalts himself above all that is called God or that is worshiped, so that he sits as God in the temple of God, showing himself that he is God.

We are close to the End Times when God allows Satan to totally deceive the World unto following him as their God.

True about other religions etc. We were asking who ON THIS THREAD was denying Jesus. Maybe I missed it, and was only asking so I could check it out in context for myself. Thx. Also, I dont know that we're CLOSE to the end times as much as we're IN the end times, the NT refers to, but I think I know what you mean ... like the END of the end times? Could be, but God is sovereign and in control, He can come again today, tomorrow, or a hundred years away. Also, what 'megachurches' are endorsing homomarriage, and are they part of the true church of the Lord Jesus Christ?

"Salvation is receive by "Works". Mary was born without sin. Muslims are our Brothers in Christ. We are Justified by our OWN efforts and Works."
These are just a few of the false teachings of the corrupted Catholic Church.
The latest one is the Muslims being our Brothers in Christ. How can the Muslims be our Brothers when the reject Jesus as their Lord and Savior and Worship Satan?

John 20:22-23 Jesus gives the Apostles the power to forgive sins or not forgive them.
How could they do this if they were not hearing confessions of some sort. And the ones they are hearing are confessing sins.
Paul writes of the ministry of reconciliation in II Cor 5:18-20.
This is why I'm confused about this " no confessing" thing. If Jesus said to do it, Paul affirms to do it, then why are some on this thread saying NOT to do it?
How could they do this if they were not hearing confessions of some sort. And the ones they are hearing are confessing sins.

It's speaking of declaring one's sins forgiven when a declaration/confession of faith in Christ is heard. They are not literally forgiving sins. Only God can do that.
It's like if someone told you they accepted Christ as their savior through faith. You can then assure them that all of their sins are forgiven.

I think what this thread is about is the truth that in Christ we HAVE forgiveness. Are you in Christ?
- Acts 10:43 - "everyone who believes in Him receives forgiveness of sins"
- Eph. 1:7 - "in Him we have...the forgiveness of our trespasses"
- Eph. 4:32 - "God in Christ has forgiven you"
- Col. 1:14 - "we have...the forgiveness of sins"
- Col. 2:13 - "having forgiven all our transgressions
- I John 2:12 - "your sins are forgiven"
Grace is hyper, it’s totally over the top. It’s radical. It seems to good to be true…but it is true. And if that is not good news to you, then you have never understood the gospel of grace.

There isn't even any such thing as "hyper grace". What does that even mean, that we can have too much grace? That's ridiculous and frankly I see it as an insult to the price paid by Christ to give us grace that exceeds any sin. Where sin did abound, grace did super abound. How's that for hyper?
As far as a license to sin, we don't need one. People have been sinning without a license since Adam ate from the forbidden tree. It's not even an issue! Saved people have the desire, via a new nature, to not sin. Saved people aren't looking for a way to sin by permission. They want out of sin. Any one claiming to be a Christian that really wants to keep doing what they know God doesn't want them to do needs to get saved.
Yes, Christians sin every day, but the desire of their hearts is to be free of it. We all just need to keep established in who we are because of the new birth, and learn to follow the leading of the Holy Spirit while we put to death the desires of the flesh.

Actually the phrase " who walk not according to the flesh but according to the Spirit in Romans 8:1 was added by the translators. It is not found in the original manuscripts.
When the phrase is later used it is not speaking of walking in sinless perfection. It speaks of having a fleshly natural mind. While the fleshly natural mind can be sinful, the verse is telling us not to look on things only with our natural eyes. Looking at things with our natural eyes would include judging our righteousness based on our works rather than on the spiritual grace we have received.
Yes, we can sin and still be a Christian walking with Jesus. The scripture tells us that where sin abounded, grace did much more abound. That's what grace is for, the sinner. If we could live perfectly sinless lives we would have no need for grace and Jesus wouldn't have to have sacrificed himself for us. So no there is no hyper grace.
People who say things like hyper grace seem to have the idea that grace teaches that sin is ok. I've been a part of this grace movement since it started and that has never been the case. I've never seen anyone encourage people to sin involved in grace. As I said in my previous post saved people don't want to sin.
When Paul Said in Romans," How can we who are dead to sins continue therein?" it was in response to the foolish question " "What then shall we sin so that grace may abound?" Paul preached a grace message that caused people to ask that very question. Just like they do today about hyper grace. Pauls' answer wasn't a suggestion that we shouldn't sin because we are dead to sin. His answer was an emphatic, perish that thought, it's not even a question, it's an impossibility.
Paul was saying that sin which had us as it's servant is dead. We have been freed from the bondage of sin by grace. Where sin was on the throne of our lives, God's grace is now king. Since grace is king, and we are free from the bondage of sin, we are now free to serve God. You can see all that when you read it from the original languages.
