FreeNChrist you have hijacked this grace thread, THANKS! :D I could respond to some of the legalism but hey, you're doing great!

Haha, it really is nice to have other believers in God's grace stand up to false doctrines of legalism and doctrines that deny the forgiveness we have in Jesus Christ. People like you and Ladylynn are awesome to be sharing this thread with, along with other believers in grace (honorable mentions: eternally-gratefull, seed_time_harvest, gb9, and shotgunner). Keep preaching the Gospel guys, surely it is opening someone's eyes and breaking chains of legalism.

Question for those who want to separate the walk from the faith to make it faith alone for salvation:

Is a homosexual who is engaged in a same sex relationship or marriage saved, if they believe in the Lord ???
let he who has no sin cast the first stone.

why do you people always focus on homosexuality or other huge sins, When we ALL have sins we struggle with. What makes you think you are more worthy than anyone else?

that is the danger of legalism. It is not that one person IS forgiven more (thus love more) it is that one person KNOWS he is forgiven more.

WE ALL DESERVE HELL< whether we practiced sexual sin or not!

It is not nonsense it comes straight from the Word of God, the Holy Spirit's guidance, and Strong's Greek Concordance and Thayer's Greek Lexicon.
I know exactly where it comes from.

Another refusal to answer the question.............

The answer is simple as we are told to let our yes be yes and our no be no, not avoid answering !!!

Please answer the question !!!
It's a stupid question.

Is a Christian caught up in homosexuality still a Christian? Yes. It's Christians who are saved, not homosexuals or heterosexuals.

Another refusal to answer the question.............
How can I answer. I am not God. I do not know the persons heart, and if he has been saved or not.

A oerson does not all of a sudden become a superchristian the moment they get saved, they have to learn to trust God in all areas of their life. not just salvation.

Your question is invalid. the only way it can be valid is if we insert ANY AND ALL SIN into the part where yuo put homosexual. Your being a judge, WHich is against the word of God.

The answer is simple as we are told to let our yes be yes and our no be no, not avoid answering !!!
Your trying to be God, judge jury and executioner.

According to your very question. you would have to teach perfectionalism. so why are you pointing out only one sin? the only reason people do this is to convince themselves. the pharisee used this tactic, what Did jesus call them out for? You think jesus would not call you out for the same tactic?

It is not a stupid question as all it takes is a simple yes or no, so please answer it truthfully.

I will start by answering it myself.................The answer is no because the bible clearly states it is an abomination, and a person can not continue in willful deliberate sin.

Yes, but that doesn't mean they are not to stop this sin. Just as you may lie on occasion or cuss up a storm in frustration, you ought to end that, but whether you eventually overcome it isn't when you finally become saved. The overcoming of sin is a fruit of God's grace and not Law, but if it takes you a life time to finally stop doing one particular sin it doesn't mean that the whole time you struggled with it you were condemned. After all, aren't we sinners saved by grace? Who have then become saints, by the grace of God?

I mean, Paul called Corinthians who slept with temple prostitutes saints... can you imagine yourself calling a homosexual man a saint, who is washed in the blood of Christ, and sealed unto the day of Redemption by the Holy Spirit? That seems hard, to look at someone who is currently sinning or plans to sin and tell them they are not condemned and God is faithful and they will be blameless on the day the Lord returns... Thats an abundant and huge whopping serving of GRACE.

if a homosexual struggling with sin is not a christian.

then no person struggling with any sin is saved. \

which means there is not a saved person living on this earth.

Now. should the person living in whatever sin be convicted? Yes Should they be confronted (biblically not legalistically, and YES THERE IS A HUGE DIFFERENCE) Yes And can the person be asked to leave fellowship if they do not repent of that sin? Yes.

But if that person is saved, is he any less saved than any other person who is still a sinner?

Again, thats the problem with legalism, You state your better than someone else and more deserving, When God makes it clear. there are non righteous, no not one, no one is deserving, we all deserve hell. not one more than any other..

It is by Gods grace and mercy we could ever hope to be saved, let alone be saved. Whoever does not teach this, does not teach the good news of Jesus.

What do you mean how can you answer ???

The Word of God clearly gives the answer to this, there is no hidden or unknown standing with that question.

Either a person can continue to live a homosexual lifestyle and still be saved, or they can't ???
It is either yes or no and the bible does clearly give us the answer.

This is not being God as God Himself told us they we will be able to determine the saved from the unsaved !!!

So what is your answer ???

Well thank you for answering but I did not say if they are struggling or if they intend to stop being that way.

It is to be taken exactly how I wrote it, are they saved if they if they remain in that lifestyle ?

The answer by anybody who is a Christian should be no, but some will refuse to answer that because it would disprove their separation of walk from the faith.

no the bible does not give the answer your giving.

Unless your perfect. according to your question, no one can get to heaven, because we ALL STRUGGLE WITH SIN. Are you perfect? You claim no. then you just condemned yourself. because according to your condition. No one who sins can get to heaven. Not just the homosexual. the heterosexual. the luster, the coveter, the false accuser. the one who does not love his neighbor (which we all fail on a daily basis) etc etc.

they can never be saved until they stop sin first. Even though they can NOT STOP SIN APART FROM THE POWER OF CHRIST>

Again if that is what you believe then you are entitled to that opinion, however there is over 25 scriptures that show salvation is not an immediate physical possession of ours yet.

It is a mental possession of assurance that we have now that we will receive by our faith and the Holy Spirit abiding in us. Therefore those works are a product of a true saving faith, not salvation !!!
I think you are talking about our bodies have not been glorified yet but the change took place in the spirit and sealed immediately.

All the work you did would not earn salvation.

Harmonize.

So your answer is yes, that two people engaged and stay engaged in a same sex marriage is saved ???

If that is the case then you just made what God called an abomination acceptable, and turned the the gospel message into accepting lewdness that in Jude says is wrong.

No it could not be no Unless that included any sin, not just one particular sin.

Many people who get saved stop many sins, but continue to struggle with certain sins until they get more mature, according to your question. Non of those people are saved.

It says people who lives like the world have not been saved, it does not say a person who struggles with one sin is not saved.

Paul called the corinthian church, who struggled with sexual sin and even practiced it, brothers and sisters in Christ, Did paul lie?
