It took me years to escape the delusions of Calvinism/Arminianism. It is not something that can happen over night. They key is simply to be honest with ourselves no matter what. Be honest and yield to the truth no matter what that truth may be. That is all God asks. f we utilise the light we have God will grant us more light. If we harden our hearts to the truth then we risk reprobation.

Yes so true. Blain, I have brain damage and very little if any education due to lifelong sickness starting very early when i was poisoned with mercury. Spiritual truth does not depend on us understanding with the mind, it is delivered to our spirit and then the mind is enlightened even an old mind like mine lol. The important thing is to be humble and seek the truth and a heart that longs for holiness. Then one will see God and all that He teaches and imparts.

There are a few verses that seem to refute holiness doctrine, but when they are taken in context, they can be easily explained as actually supporting it. It is easy to take these few verses and put them together then to think that one has the truth on the matter, but to do that means that one must ignore many many other verses, like the whole of the rest of 1 John that support it, and without them being taken out of context. If one is not seeking the truth, then those few verses will be enough to shut ones mind off from the truth. I pray that you will not be one of those but that you will open up your heart and mind and ask the Lord to reveal Himself and the truth to you. God bless.

There is only one reality and that reality is not subject to our opinions. Our opinions must be subject to reality hence the need to be poor in spirit and humble. We have to all be willing to yield to whatever truth we may find, no matter what it costs us.

This is why Jesus taught that in order to live we have to die. We have to forsake this life and yield our hearts to the ultimate life. If we love this world with its associated toys, wisdom, philosophy, opinions etc. we will be destroyed along with it.

Jesus is the way, the truth and the life. We have to abide in Him and that means DOING and BELIEVING that which He taught, His doctrine.
perhaps you mean or realize this, i don't know. "our opinions" are useless, and are not supposed to be subject
to
anything we can see, taste, hear, or feel.

"let everything, every thought, dream, idea, imagination" be subject to JESUS - until there is no disobedience , and then being quick to correct any disobedience... (all in NT, may look up later)...

the whole life, every aspect and part thereof, is to be willingly and joyously brought subject to JESUS -

then freedom from catholicism, from calvinism, and from any and all other '-isms', begins....

footnote for anyone posined with mercry (anyone, any age, who got ANY IMMUNIZATION any time ever)...

take as many as practical oral digestive enzymes that have nothing unnatural and nothing toxic and nothing you're allergic to in them.
sometimes just 2 tablets 3 times a day with or without meals.

some people have been tested by their doctr after one or 2 weeks and tested FREE AND CLEAR of problems they had had for 26 years, every year, without intermission.

double-check, again, the label/ ingredients to be sure nothing inappropriate is inside, that could cause other problems,
and
take only one or two at first, then wait an hour, to be sure there's no untoward effects.

also, as able, if able, take a spoonful of acv organic applecidervinegar, unfiltered, from a glass bottle, with a spoonful of honey for flavor and nutrition if available and possible, mixed in a glass of distilled water, coffee, or tea,
one, two, or more times per day. this is the oldest 'healthy help' besides water(6 to 8 glasses a day distilled are needed by most people) in hundreds of years.

shalom to all who love truth in jesus by father's grace in him.

Thank you dear Jeff for your advice. I was not poisoned by vaccination but by 'teething powders' which were 50% mercury. This was when I was 5 months old and nearly died like many other babies in hospital and was permanently damaged. later I played with a jar full of it that my father gave me. I avoid all chemicals in my environment and eat a gluten dairy soy caffeine sugar free and organic processed food free diet and drink distilled water. The Lord is good. Thanks I will try the DE's and ACV.

Yes I know we have enough of these threads already but I really want to get to the core of this whole being sinless debate going around the forums.

I have one scripture to present to you and I want your honest opinion as to what it means, if you wish to present scripture to counter I ask that you first answer my scripture and then I will do my best to answer yours.

1 John 1:8 If we say that we have no sin, we are deceiving ourselves and the truth is not in us.
8. If we say that we have no sin, we deceive ourselves, and the truth is not in us. 9. If we confess our sins, he is faithful and righteous to forgive us our sins, and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness. 10. If we say that we have not sinned, we make him a liar, and his word is not in us. (1 John 1:8-10)

So if we confess our sins, we come clean for sins, but if we do not confess our sins we can not come clean for the sins, like the situation is for the christian's of today.

You have not never confess your sins, and that's why you keep sinning, because you are not hones to Lord, for your sins.

Like the old Israel in the Bible you are which have harden they hearts, to not understand what is wrong, and right.

Do not sin anymore, because the price of sins are dead, and eternal separation from God.

Don't deceive your selves.

Some say that we don't have to sin but the reality is that we do sin so to say that you do not have to sin and then turn around and sin is confusing to me.

The reality is, that many believers do not understand just what Christ did for us on the cross by saving us from sin, and they do sin yes, but have to come again to Christ to have this truth revealed to them so that they can be delivered from the law of sin and death.

Can you give me a run down of what it means to you so that those that are confused might better understand?

Can you give me a run down of what it means to you so that those that are confused might better understand?
I came to the Lord for forgiveness of sins, but soon (after a honeymoon period) discovered that there was something inside me that resisted obedience in some matters. Oh no, I would never dream of stealing or swearing or getting drunk after that, but I had problems showing love to those who were my enemies and responding with gentleness and patience when someone cut me off on the road or something like that. That anger that swiftly rose up revealed to me that it did not take much to show that I was still the same deep down although with effort I had changed outwardly.

The effort to be obedient in these matters led me to despair as there was something that fought inside of me (Romans 7) against what I knew was right but my temper would not comply with it. I reasoned that we could not be perfect in this life, and slowly I hardened inside. Sin leads to death. I became lukewarm and lost all of my passion for Christ. In fact I thought that He had given me too much to deal with and secretly despised others who had easy carefree lives.

One day I began to hear teaching that Christ provided the answer that I had been seeking when I asked preachers how to be the believer that I was failing to be. I had been trying to be obedient with my flesh still alive. I had to learn that being crucified with Christ was not automatic. It had to be a covenant between me and the Lord but I was unable so far because I had not understood what the cross meant in its fullness. I had to be dethroned if only His will was to be done in my life. I had to jump when He said move whereas before, I would work out whatt he consequences of jumping entailed.

I had to give up all rights to myself and what had held me back previously, was plain and simple lack of trust in my Saviour. I was afraid of what He would have me do. But on one day I stepped out, from the top of a mountain and sure enough He was there to catch me as I surrendered myself entirely to Him.

Oh happy day I was revived and entered into His rest. The law of sin and death was cancelled and the law of life came into force, not by my efforts but by His power alone and I walked as Christ walked when on this earth in complete and utter obedience. Even the hard things were pure joy. It is all down to what or who we love the most. He is not satisifed with anything less than the love we had when we first came to Him and that love was restored to me and stayed this time.

Why Calvinists are wrong:

God does not create evil or do anything that is a mistake. God does not create people just so that they can burn. God created mankind with a free will to choose Him or to not to choose Him. The moment one claims that God forced people to go to Hell against their free will choice is to make God out to be evil (pure and simple). However, God is good and He is not evil. He is not willing that any should perish but that all come to repentance (2 Peter 3:19 KJV).

Why some Arminians are wrong:

Some Arminians are so die hard to defend "free will" that God plays no part in drawing someone to them and or giving them repentance. This is just not the case. Yes, we have the free will to choose God (Deuteronomy 30:19 KJV) but no man can come to the Father unless he draws them (John 6:44 KJV), and no man can repent for it is God that grants someone repentance (2 Timothy 2:25 KJV). Then how do we choose God of our own "free will" if it is God that draws us and grants us repentance? Because God is Eternal and is outside of linear time and knows the future "free will" choices of everyone. God knows those who will accept Him and who will reject Him. For in the Lord's love He gives the damned no excuse for their rebellion against Him because He offered freely the gift of salvation for all people. His loving arms were extended to them but they slapped them away. This way the person who rejects Jesus cannot say to the Lord at the Judgment, "You see, I was already damned because my sins were never paid for." However, this person's sins were paid for because Jesus is the Lamb of God which taketh away the sins of the entire world. They just refused to repent and accept Jesus (i.e. God's love gift) and have condemned themselves to die in their sins (For they refused the sacrifice for their life personally). So they are without excuse.

For the Elect are those who accept the Lord's free love gift of Jesus Christ of their own "free will" choice whereby they are forgiven of their sins against God. God merely knowing their future "free will" choice towards Him had drawn them to Him and granted them repentance. For God Elects us based on His foreknowledge (See verse 2 in: 1 Peter 1:1, 2). God does not make some people to go to Heaven and some people to go to Hell. God does not force anyone into being a certain way. For if God forced us to love Him, it would not longer be true love. It would be a forced love. So it is by free will choice. A free will choice that God is aware of since the beginning of linear time. For God has declared the End from the Beginning (Isaiah 46:10 KJV).

For we exist on a linear time line (within the present). God is Eternal and He exists outside of linear time (Which would place God's existence in living in the past, present, and future).

esau, cain, and some others were 'honest' after their sin, but were not allowed repentance even

though they sought repentance with tears....

I'd rather go this route. ..

Galatians 2:20 I am crucified with Christ: nevertheless I live; yet not I, but Christ liveth in me: and the life which I now live in the flesh I live by the faith of the Son of God, who loved me, and gave himself for me.

I'm sorry but did you just say I never confessed my sins and that's why I continue sinning? I repent daily for my sins and i constantly ask him for strength to be more like him and less like me. You really think you know my heart so well to say I have not repented?

Who are you to say who has repented of their sins or not?

Eight me's and I's from Paul in one sentence. That is a higher rate than my writing. :)

Oh I see you backtracked and removed some of your post before I could reply. Not good conduct.

It's the birthright Esau sought with tears but found no place for repentance.
