The Jews count the 12 minor prophets as one book, so you lose 11 books there, but not really.

They also count I Samuel and II Samuel as one book, so you lose another book there, but not really.

They also count I Kings and II Kings as one book, so you lose another book there, but not really.

They also count I Chronicles and II Chronicles as one book, so you lose another book there, but not really.

They also count Nehemiah and Ezra as one book, so you lose another book there, but not really.

Add those all together and there are your 15 "missing books", but not really.

It's not really a "change" in the "amount", but rather just a different grouping together of the same books.

I did not realize you were on TOL. Enjoyed the post.
I used to post there for several years before coming here. But I no longer post there anymore; It was a pretty rough crowd there. But thank you. I am glad you enjoyed the post. It was a profound and interesting study for me.

Anyways, may God bless you, my friend.

I have not posted there in quite some time. I was very active there for a couple of years but all the bickering and pettiness just really turned me off from that site. I hardly even visit there anymore. I have been on CC longer than anywhere else.
