Faith without works is dead.....and this is a principle Christ teaches...
[SUP]20 [/SUP]And he said, That which cometh out of the man, that defileth the man.
[SUP]21 [/SUP]For from within, out of the heart of men, proceed evil thoughts, adulteries, fornications, murders,
[SUP]22 [/SUP]Thefts, covetousness, wickedness, deceit, lasciviousness, an evil eye, blasphemy, pride, foolishness:

we know what defiles so we know what not to do...God sees all ....heart and deeds....If the heart is pure the actions will be pure

If a man were to get saved and then died immediately after being reborn in the spirit, would he be saved if he had faith, but he didn't get a chance to do physical work?

you see how faith without works would be talking to men,who need to see the actions expressed through the body.

Romans 4:1-2

[SUP]
2[/SUP].) For if Abraham were justified by works, he hath whereof to glory; but not before God.

We are saved by grace through faith....some think we can be saved outside of Christ ...one must be born of water and of the spirit to enter the kingdom.....I know of no other way ...do you?.....that is the way Christ says you get in ....people keep making up their own rules and setting up their own entrance. The reason is, they are blind because the scripture says you must be born again to see the kingdom...

Abraham not being justified by works does not say he did no works and it does not say you don't have to do works....Faith without works is dead....

Interesting how those who deny the security of the believer aren't content with that in many cases, but also want to have salvation by works (water baptism or any other work.) If anyone is bothered by these unbelieving posts and needs an explanation, I will be happy to help you, but some of these satanic deceivers have been answered directly over & over & merit no further response directly.

Scripture says in no uncertain terms:
By grace you have been saved through faith, and that not of yourselves, not of works lest anyone should boast.

Good works is the way of boasting, but grace means that God gets the glory, not man.

Thou shalt call His name Jesus, for He will save His people from their sins.
There is not room in the universe for 2 Saviors; you are not eligible to save yourself, nor anyone else. You are eligible to say, "God be merciful to me a sinner."

I give them eternal life, and they shall never perish.

Now that you have been saved...

[SUP]11 [/SUP]Even so reckon ye also yourselves to be dead unto sin, but alive unto God in Christ Jesus.

[SUP]12 [/SUP]Let not sin therefore reign in your mortal body, that ye should obey the lusts thereof:
[SUP]13 [/SUP]neither present your members unto sin as instruments of unrighteousness; but present yourselves unto God, as alive from the dead, and your members as instruments of righteousness unto God.

[SUP]14 [/SUP]For sin shall not have dominion over you: for ye are not under law, but under grace.
[SUP]15 [/SUP]What then? shall we sin, because we are not under law, but under grace? God forbid.
[SUP]16 [/SUP]Know ye not, that to whom ye present yourselves as servants unto obedience, his servants ye are whom ye obey; whether of sin unto death, or of obedience unto righteousness?

[SUP]17 [/SUP]But thanks be to God, that, whereas ye were servants of sin, ye became obedient from the heart to that form of teaching whereunto ye were delivered;

[SUP]18 [/SUP]and being made free from sin, ye became servants of righteousness.

[SUP]19 [/SUP]I speak after the manner of men because of the infirmity of your flesh: for as ye presented your members as servants to uncleanness and to iniquity unto iniquity, even so now present your members as servants to righteousness unto sanctification.

Have you become obedient to the teaching of Christ......oops you think the only thing you have to obey is believe.....
are you presenting your members as servants to righteousness?...nah this sounds to much like works...and you don't do that
Does your bible say obedience unto righteousness?...and righteousness unto sanctification?

There is but one MUST I DO
to be saved:

Sirs, what must I do to be saved?
Believe on the Lord Jesus Christ, & you shall be saved. He is a Savior,
not a mere chance-giver.

Thou shalt call His name Jesus, for
He shall save His people from their sins.

Ps 34
YHWH redeems the soul of his servants;
And none of them who take refuge in him shall be condemned.

Ps 52
But as for me, I am like a green olive-tree in the house of God:
I trust in the lovingkindness of God for ever and ever.
I will give thee thanks for ever, because thou hast done it;
1 Thes 5 end:
"And the God of peace himself sanctify you wholly; and may your spirit and soul and body be preserved entire, without blame at the coming of our Lord Jesus Christ. Faithful is He Who calls you, Who will also do it.

Col 3
If then ye were raised together with Christ, seek the things that are above, where Christ is, seated on the right hand of God. Set your mind on the things that are above, not on the things that are upon the earth. For ye died, and your life is hid with Christ in God. When Christ, who is our life, shall be manifested, then shall ye also with him be manifested in glory.

2 Thes 2:16
Now our Lord Jesus Christ himself, and God our Father who loved us and gave us eternal comfort and good hope through grace, comfort your hearts and establish them in every good work and word.
End of Rom 8:
And we know that to them that love God all things work together for good, even to them that are called according to his purpose. For whom
he foreknew,
he also foreordained to be conformed to the image of his Son, that he might be the firstborn among many brethren: and whom
he foreordained, them
he also called: and whom he called, them he also justified: and whom
he justified, them
he also glorified.

31 What then shall we say to these things? If God is for us, who is against us? 3He that spared not his own Son, but delivered him up for us all, how shall he not also with him freely give us all things? Who shall lay anything to the charge of God’s elect? It is God that justifieth; who is he that condemneth? It is Christ Jesus that died, yea rather, that was raised from the dead, who is at the right hand of God, who also maketh intercession for us. Who shall separate us from the love of Christ? shall tribulation, or anguish, or persecution, or famine, or nakedness, or peril, or sword? Even as it is written,
For thy sake we are killed all the day long;
We were accounted as sheep for the slaughter.

Nay, in all these things we are more than conquerors through him that loved us. For I am persuaded, that neither death, nor life, nor angels, nor principalities, nor things present, nor things to come, nor powers, nor height, nor depth, nor any other creature, shall be able to separate us from the love of God, which is in Christ Jesus our Lord.

< 1 Pet 1
Blessed be the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, who according to his great mercy begat us again unto a living hope by the resurrection of Jesus Christ from the dead, unto an inheritance incorruptible, and undefiled, and that fadeth not away, reserved in heaven for you, who by the power of God are guarded through faith unto a salvation ready to be revealed in the last time.

THE OVERCOMER
Revelation 3:5
The one who overcomes will be clothed thus in white garments, and I will never blot his name out of the book of life. I will confess his name before my Father… 1 John 5:4-5 For whatsoever is begotten of God overcometh the world: and this is the victory that has overcome the world, even our faith. And who is he who overcomes the world, but he that believeth that Jesus is the Son of God? For everyone who has been born of God overcomes the world. And this is the victory that has overcome the world—our faith.

And I saw the holy city, new Jerusalem, coming down out of heaven from God, made ready as a bride adorned for her husband. And I heard a great voice out of the throne saying, Behold, the tabernacle of God is with men, and he shall dwell with them, and they shall be his peoples, and God himself shall be with them, and be their God: and he shall wipe away every tear from their eyes; and death shall be no more; neither shall there be mourning, nor crying, nor pain, any more: the first things are passed away. And he that sitteth on the throne said, Behold, I make all things new. And he saith, Write: for these words are faithful and true. And he said unto me, They are come to pass. I am the Alpha and the Omega, the beginning and the end. I will give unto him that is athirst of the fountain of the water of life freely. He that overcometh shall inherit these things; and I will be his God, and he shall be my son. But for the fearful, and unbelieving, and abominable, and murderers, and fornicators, and sorcerers, and idolaters, and all liars, their part shall be in the lake that burneth with fire and brimstone; which is the second death.

In II Thess. 3:3 “But the Lord is faithful, who shall establish you, and guard you from the evil one.”

In II Tim. 1:12 he sounds a note of rejoicing: “For I know Him whom I have believed, and I am persuaded that He is able to guard that which I have committed unto Him against that day.”
< 2 Tim 4:18
The Lord will deliver me from every evil work, and will save me unto his heavenly kingdom;

2 Tim 1:8-9
… God; who saved us, and called us with a holy calling, not according to our works, but according to his own purpose and grace, which was given us in Christ Jesus before times eternal,

2 thes 2:16-17 Now our Lord Jesus Christ himself, and God our Father who loved us and gave us eternal comfort and good hope through grace, comfort your hearts and establish them in every good work and word.
Rm 6:23b
the free gift of God is eternal life in Christ Jesus our Lord.
John 10:27-29
My sheep hear my voice, and I know them, and they follow me. I give them eternal life, and they will never perish, and no one will snatch them out of my hand. My Father, who has given them to me, is greater than all, and no one is able to snatch them out of the Father's hand.

And I am sure of this, that he who began a good work in you will bring it to completion at the day of Jesus Christ.
Ephesians 2:8
For by grace you have been saved through faith. And this is not your own doing; it is the gift of God,
1 John 5:10-13
Whoever believes in the Son of God has the testimony in himself. Whoever does not believe God has made him a liar, because he has not believed in the testimony that God has borne concerning his Son. And this is the testimony, that God gave us eternal life, and this life is in his Son. Whoever has the Son has life; whoever does not have the Son of God does not have life. I write these things to you who believe in the name of the Son of God that you may know that you have eternal life.
Romans 11:6
But if it is by grace, it is no longer on the basis of works; otherwise grace would no longer be grace.

Therefore let us also, seeing we are compassed about with so great a cloud of witnesses, lay aside every weight, and the sin which doth so easily beset us, and let us run with patience the race that is set before us, looking unto Jesus the author and perfecter of our faith, who for the joy that was set before him endured the cross,

1 Behold, what manner of love the Father hath bestowed upon us, that we should be called the sons of God: therefore the world knoweth us not, because it knew him not.

2 Beloved, now are we the sons of God, and it doth not yet appear what we shall be: but we know that, when he shall appear, we shall be like him; for we shall see him as he is.

3 And every man that hath this hope in him purifieth himself, even as he is pure.

4 Whosoever committeth sin transgresseth also the law: for sin is the transgression of the law.

5 And ye know that he was manifested to take away our sins; and in him is no sin.

6 Whosoever abideth in him sinneth not: whosoever sinneth hath not seen him, neither known him.

7 Little children, let no man deceive you: he that doeth righteousness is righteous, even as he is righteous.

8 He that committeth sin is of the devil; for the devil sinneth from the beginning. For this purpose the Son of God was manifested, that he might destroy the works of the devil.

9 Whosoever is born of God doth not commit sin; for his seed remaineth in him: and he cannot sin, because he is born of God.

10 In this the children of God are manifest, and the children of the devil: whosoever doeth not righteousness is not of God, neither he that loveth not his brother.

the only security there is , is in Christ and he said repent and be baptised...you must be born again and abide in him...You cannot continue in sin and abide in Christ

sure it does but it also says faith without works is dead

Good works is the way of boasting, but grace means that God gets the glory, not man.
Every saved person is created unto good works....so their boast is in Christ and what he has done...you refuse to do what you have been saved to do so you bring shame to the name of Christ it is obvious you will have nothing to boast about

Thou shalt call His name Jesus, for He will save His people from their sins.
the disobedient are not His people
There is not room in the universe for 2 Saviors; you are not eligible to save yourself, nor anyone else. You are eligible to say, "God be merciful to me a sinner."
God has been merciful ..you just enjoy being a sinner.....

And you have to keep reading. John 3:19-21 talks about the "Condemnation" which says men loved darkness rather than the Light unless their deeds are reproved (c.f. with 1 John 1:5-9 and Romans 8:1).

The KJV says "believeth not" in verse 36. However, verses 19-21, which speaks of the "Condemnation" easily refutes OSAS.

If one believes one is saved.

If one does not believe they are condemned.

IF one believes and then stops believing, God is faithful.

Peter just became fearful and began to sink after walking on the water......If one stops believing ,it means he does not believe and therefore he falls back to your second line.....If one does not believe they are condemned. God remains faithful . It is the person who has fallen back like a dog to vomit. If he chooses to repent the Father is there faithful
