Paul said,

For as many as are of the works of the law are under the curse: for it is written, Cursed is every one that continueth not in all things which are written in the book of the law to do them. Gal.3:10, Deut.27:26

We all know that our Savior never violated the law in any way, so he could not be cursed by the law, but then Paul says,

Christ hath redeemed us from the curse of the law, being made a curse for us: for it is written, Cursed is every one that hangeth on a tree Gal.3:13, Deut.21:23

Does God truly curse an innocent man by a method of execution? Paul was citing a passage that qualifies being cursed by the law which says,

And if a man have committed a sin worthy of death, and he be to be put to death, and thou hang him on a tree: Deut.21:22

So it isn't being hanged on a tree, but committing sin that brings the curse on an individual. What Paul is teaching here, is that Jesus was falsely accused, wronfully thought of as accursed of God by the people who condemned him and others passing by the cross.

when a sinner was executed they were dead according to their flesh but thier spirit remained in the curse ( death)

“And if a man have committed a sin worthy of death, and he be to be put to death, and thou hang him on a tree: His body shall not remain all night upon the tree, but thou shalt in any wise bury him that day; (for he that is hanged is accursed of God;)that thy land be not defiled, which the Lord thy God giveth thee for an inheritance.”
‭‭Deuteronomy‬ ‭21:22-23‬ ‭KJV‬‬

See how that even though the sinner was killed for sin , the curse of the sinner is still present ? The dead man is still cursed even in death ? and also how thier land would be defiled unless they buried the cursed man

it started with the first commandment

“But of the tree of the knowledge of good and evil, thou shalt not eat of it: for in the day that thou eatest thereof thou shalt surely die.”
‭‭Genesis‬ ‭2:17

“And unto Adam he said, Because thou hast hearkened unto the voice of thy wife, and hast eaten of the tree, of which I commanded thee, saying, Thou shalt not eat of it: cursed is the ground for thy sake;

in sorrow shalt thou eat of it all the days of thy life; In the sweat of thy face shalt thou eat bread, till thou return unto the ground; for out of it wast thou taken: for dust thou art, and unto dust shalt thou return.”
‭‭Genesis‬ ‭3:17, 19‬ ‭KJV‬‬

notice God actually blessed adam and warned him not to eat the deadly fruit to keep Him safe , it took his own transgression to bring the curse . Adam cursed himself in death and the ground also

if we die in our sins like those under law we’re also cursed forever in death

“I said therefore unto you, that ye shall die in your sins: for if ye believe not that I am he, ye shall die in your sins.”
‭‭John‬ ‭8:21, 24‬ ‭KJV‬‬

but Christ died for our sins because he had none of his own he was able to rise from death in victory and break that curse that waits for us in death the curse he’s talking about is the second death which is all mans destination without the gospel blessing

Since the gospel if we die in the lord , we’re actually blessed and enter the sabbath

“And I heard a voice from heaven saying unto me, Write, Blessed are the dead which die in the Lord from henceforth: Yea, saith the Spirit, that they may rest from their labours; and their works do follow them.”
‭‭Revelation‬ ‭14:13‬ ‭KJV‬‬

He has changed death ahead of us by taking the curse we earned upon himself we still die in our flesh but the curse is no longer on us after we die
