The Ten Virgins represent the brides awaiting the bridegroom. In order to be wise, you must know what day the bridegroom has come on. How can you know the Biblical date? By studying the Feasts of the LORD Leviticus 23. If Jesus arrival is Pentecost and the five foolish virgins go to buy, they are foolish because it is a Sabbath. The shops are closed for this Holy Date.

Leviticus 23:
Lev 23:15 And ye shall count unto you from the morrow after the sabbath, from the day that ye brought the sheaf of the wave offering; seven sabbaths shall be complete:
Lev 23:16 Even unto the morrow after the seventh sabbath shall ye number fifty days; and ye shall offer a new meat offering unto the LORD.
Lev 23:21 And ye shall proclaim on the selfsame day, that it may be an holy convocation unto you: ye shall do no servile work therein: it shall be a statute for ever in all your dwellings throughout your generations.

Shavuot/Pentecost is a Holy Sabbath Day.

If you know what day to be prepared for, you want go out and try to BUY!

Lots of good stuff here. To me, what it boils down to is be prepared and alert for when the groom, Jesus, comes for his bride, us.

To be anointed with oil was a Biblical practice that symbolized God's power, presence, and consecration.
Being born again and indwelt with the Holy Spirit of God is not something I would call a normal or usual
thing/experience. Many who are born again have profound experiences of encountering God in some way
as He draws us with loving kindness, even though we have people claiming they are Christians who wish
to deny this, and try to tell everyone else here that the Holy Spirit is not required in coming to believe,
even though Scripture says the opposite. To be ready for Christ’s return, and attend the wedding supper, a
person must be indwelt with the Holy Spirit of God, born again, have faith in Christ. What is your understanding?
-----------------------------------------
All believers are sealed with the Holy Spirit but the term born again has a far different understanding,

There is a two-fold meaning to the greek word which is born from above and born anew/again. I mentioned this before but Jesus never used this understanding again as you say, nor his apostles, or their disciples, nor the church for 1900 years. Just in the last 100 years did this false teaching take place.

Jesus was speaking of a resurrection. This why Jesus said:“Very truly I tell you, no one can enter the kingdom of God unless they are born of water and the Spirit. The body now is made of clay and water, our next body will be by Spirit but not till the Resurrection/Rapture.

Just as the parables say after 6 days or about 6000 years. So will it be with a delay. Just as there was 50 day delay from the Feast of First Fruits to Pentecost (Acts 2 ). This will be repeated again with the same time frame with the Rapture/Resurrection on Pentecost. This is the time of gathering.

Lord will fulfill the 3 major feasts. Passover. Pentecost and Tabernacles in the millennium.

I cannot understand what you are attempting to say in paragraph two. Jesus plainly said, you must be born again, and it refers to being born of the Spirit. The phrase "born of the flesh" is used to describe the natural, physical birth of a person, while "born of the spirit" refers to the spiritual renewal that occurs through the Holy Spirit. We are told the physical comes first, and then, the spiritual. John 3:6 states, "That which is born of the flesh is flesh, and that which is born of the Spirit is spirit." Those who live according to the flesh set their minds on the things of the flesh; but those who live according to the Spirit set their minds on the things of the Spirit. The mind of the flesh is death, but the mind of the Spirit is life and peace, because the mind of the flesh is hostile to God: It does not submit to God’s law, nor can it do so. So I say, walk by the Spirit, and you will not gratify the desires of the flesh. For the flesh craves what is contrary to the Spirit, and the Spirit what is contrary to the flesh. They are opposed to each other. He saved us, not by the righteous deeds we had done, but according to His mercy, through the washing of new birth and renewal by the Holy Spirit. <= that is what being born again is. To all who did receive Him, to those who believed in His name, He gave the right to become children of God—children born not of blood, nor of the desire or will of man, but born of God. Having died to what bound us, we have been released from the law, so that we serve in the new way of the Spirit, and not in the old way of the written code. We have been born again, not of perishable seed, but of imperishable, through the living and enduring word of God. There is an awful lot in the Bible about this. How can you say nothing much was said of it until recently???

I agree that the indwelling of the holy spirit is required in order to be born again and some on here who deny that power claim to be Christians but deny the power of the holy spirit they out right refuse to believe in any supernatural aspect of God in the believer. It makes me wonder if they are even saved to begin with

Anyone understand why the Lord was delayed??
The delay is 2 fold.
1) He is delayed because that's where we're at.
We know to meet him. We're told to watch for him. We wait as he is currently delayed.
And the inference is he could come at any Moment
We are currently in the delay time frame. 2) the other reason, or component of the parable, is that without the delay, there would not have been the clear separation of those that had oil, and those that did not have oil.
The interesting part is that the ones that ran out of oul, actually did have oil but it ran out.
And if you read the story carefully, had the 5 wise not taken extra oil, they would've been in the same situation.
And so there's only one difference in the 5 wise and the 5 foolish, which is, that the wise took extra oil. All ten had oil when they went out to meet the bride groom.

the delay revealed the ones with extra oil.

in the rapture, only those ones intimate with Jesus are taken to heaven.
As the parable vividly illustrates.

"buy" is figurative and used by Jesus twice.
( in the same principle)
in neither distance does it involve a literal merchant and money used as currency)

Rev 3
15 I know thy works, that thou art neither cold nor hot: I would thou wert cold or hot.
16 So then because thou art lukewarm, and neither cold nor hot, I will spue thee out of my mouth.
17 Because thou sayest, I am rich, and increased with goods, and have need of nothing; and knowest not that thou art wretched, and miserable, and poor, and blind, and naked:
18 I counsel thee to buy of me gold tried in the fire, that thou mayest be rich; and white raiment, that thou mayest be clothed, and that the shame of thy nakedness do not appear; and anoint thine eyes with eyesalve, that thou mayest see.
19 As many as I love, I rebuke and chasten: be zealous therefore, and repent.
20 Behold, I stand at the door, and knock: if any man hear my voice, and open the door, I will come in to him, and will sup with him, and he with me.
21 To him that overcometh will I grant to sit with me in my throne, even as I also overcame, and am set down with my Father in his throne.
22 He that hath an ear, let him hear what the Spirit saith unto the churches.

"Buy" is figurative and used to illustrate the need to recieve the daily impartation of what a believer needs as impartation.
...namely THE HOLY SPIRIT.

EXACTLY THE SAME lesson in both passages.
Intimacy and infilling regularly with the Holy Spirit.
Both use " buy"

Both passages have awful sanctions for omitting the infilling.
They both teach rejection of Jesus for their lukewarm attitude and laziness.

We also learn "I stand at the door and knock" is to believers, to let Jesus in for an intimate relationship.
Hot is the only temp.
Most believers have no clue.

" my people are destroyed for lack of knowledge "

1 Peter 3:9 (NIV) The Lord is not slow in keeping his promise, as some understand slowness. Instead he is patient with you, not wanting anyone to perish, but everyone to come to repentance.

Matthew 24:14 And this gospel of the kingdom will be preached in the whole world as a testimony to all nations, and then the end will come.

i think the Writer is talking of this period we are living in as we wait for Jesus the Bridegroom of the Church. Jesus is not being delayed He is waiting for many to join the fold.
